I have trust issues. I've felt this way about everyone I've ever dated.

I'm scared of ending up in a weird limbo state where I am sitting on my hands waiting for a proposal and not enjoying my relationship. I don't present well when I am anxious, and certainly not behaving femininely and relaxed.

He is the highest performing trader of his age group at a hedge fund. He will be paid several million dollars next year and was paid $2M last year. He can afford the $20k ring I want. He's not saving up. When we live together he will be paying 100% of the rent and the majority of our groceries etc. Does that slightly de-risk it for me?

I run 20 miles a week and do 2-3 other workouts a week too. You're right that maybe I need to amp this up.

not boring per se but he does not show a lot of emotional fluctuation - no extreme verbalized affection or anything like that

I see him like once a week. I want to spend half the week in the suburbs with him and half a week in the city (working, socializing etc) and he would gladly oblige but I feel insecure about being in a committed relationship at 24 when none of my friends are and everyone seems to be partying it up in NYC (where I live) and I am clutching onto a false sense of independence. He is 24. Do you think seeing him more is necessary?

I'm a Hindu vegetarian with an (also indian) partner who eats everything. It's fine. It ended up being way less of a big deal than I thought it would be. He's also a huge gym bro and eats just animal protein for dinner every day. Baking meat and finishing it in the stove is really quite easy and I've been able to cook a couple things for him. But for the most part he cooks his own animal protein and probably wouldn't ask or expect me to do that for him out of respect for my religious beliefs. Do…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
