She wasn't airbrushed in her blog videos. She is pretty average. She could use a good hair coloring to cover her faded job, and maybe some makeup, but meh. She is alright.

You do not have to be a ten to be attractive. That is just silly, if she posted on any other thread without this whole elevator incident she would have some fans. She isn't a ten, but she is reasonably attractive

My brother went through this is school, and my parents eventually had to homeschool him because teachers consistently ignored it. Why the fuck are teachers not being punished. They are responsible for making sure students have a safe learning enviroment.

It might have been no contact... I forget the actual name, but that is what the judge told me I would be breaking the no contact thingy.. They specified this because they said there was a problem with people getting them for EXes without intending to keep it. I wanted to pretend he didn't exist, so I wanted no contact of any sort.

/r/MensRights26/06/11 03:56 AM

That is retarded. The issue lies within the relationship, not the girl. If the first time you had sex was with a person who was the kind of douche who couldn't take no for an answer, or at least make it a pleasant experience (I'm talking kindness not skill) than you probably have a hard time picking people who are ... well good partners and divorce is inevitable if you have a bad partner mix.

Fuck this. Rape with or without a knife is traumatic. When you cannot look your "real" lover/bf in the face without feeling disgusting because the idea of being physically close to anyone makes your limbs feel numb and you have to keep your eyes open during sex so you don't see the other persons face...just...fuck that

"regime's "moral security plan" in which loose-fitting headscarves, tight overcoats " Have you seen pictures of people over there? It isn't uncommon to see women out with real coats, I live in arizona and I see plenty of muslim girls dress like that here during our summers.

It isn't a matter of irresponsible or not. I know I was irresponsible, but I let my pride get the better of me, and I didn't want to admit that I couldn't take care of myself. And now along with nightmares several months later I have this fear that anyone who finds out is judging me, and thinking that I led him on, and that I deserved it. I have a hard time believing that 80% of all juvenile sexual assaults are committed by females just because I am pretty sure men outnumber them in their field.
/r/MensRights12/06/11 08:13 AM

I think that has more to do with presentation than anything else. If more focus was placed on issues that everyone could agree on... like equal parental rights post divorce, and support for domestic shelters for men who need a place to stay, along with their kids (same as woman have) It would be easy to turn public opinion onto the idea that men have problems too

It is pretty damn evil. one of the worst? no. but yeah it's evil. I think china might bother me more just because they are killing girls because they prefer boys for a variety of reasons.. And these women probably see themselves as saving their village from war... not a good reason, but I suppose it doesn't seem as evil just because of their intent... meh. Really, I can't support any baby killing, and there is no way to justify it. But is a rant for another time, China as a whole pisses me off.

See I don't believe that as a whole there is a lack of respect for men, there is just more focus on women. If there were a lack of respect for men they would tell women to cover up to avoid rape because it is something to be expected of men. Rather they assume that both genders are able to be morally upright, and try to have little protests and the like to bring awareness of the problems they want people to empathize with.

It isn't about likability. You do not win a war by throwing mud and taunting the other side like a small child. You use reason, logic, and appeal to everyones innate need to progress as a society.
/r/MensRights09/06/11 01:15 AM
1

You bring up an excellent point. I suppose I am sensitive to the topic because I feel some arguments are based more on personal knee jerk reactions to situations that shouldn't happen, rather than being a rational discussion. Determining who has is worse is a silly argument because both genders face discrimination that shouldn't be, it all really depends on which one affects you as an individual more.

The social structure really. I see it often enough, and this desire to dominate, to control and exploit. Of course I could really go on and on about this, but it boils down to this. In our society we have children from a young age watching and learning life lessons from television and dysfunctional adults. We seem to prefer to keep children in homes wherein their parents need a divorce because they cannot function as a couple, but the parents stay together for legal or parental reasons. Children…

It is an act of being dismissed, but the problem is that the opinion is not without validity. I agree whole heartily with this cause, but as a female I feel that I am being looked down upon and insulted because of things that some woman have done. There is always at least one top article that is irrelevant to mens rights, but just exists to show that woman are capable of being horrible horrible people. Maybe it serves a purpose to show that both genders are capable of committing terrible crimes,…

I see no reason not to try and be the bigger man (no pun intended) Shaming a word does nothing but create sympathy for a group that already has public opinion on it's side.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 11:40 PM

It really is, but all the same, I think it would be more appropriate to refer to those who wish to diminish men, and claim gender superiority as radical feminists. or feminazi... both good.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 11:29 PM
1

I don't know what you're talking about. While twoX doesn't have a supported view of mens rights as a group, they do seem to support men being treated equally and properly. I think the biggest beef they have is that they believe (like many redditors) that this forum is just for those who have been scorned and have built up a hatred for the opposing gender.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 11:28 PM
1

This is a really problem. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this forum that I ever really thought about the problems men face in day to day life. When I was growing up problems facing my own gender became more and more apparent, but those face by men... They get little attention and I do believe this is because feminist don't want men to steal their thunder, and that if men are also discriminated against it would make the feminists problems feel less..... relevant

Well I do not doubt that there are feminists leaders that love to push the idea that women are some sort of ungodly angels that can do no wrong, and that if women ran the world there would be no wars and such... The debtors prison is shameful, and I agree that this entire thing needs to be reevaluated because we are harming good fathers while providing little justice to the children that actually deserv…

It is a tricky road to go down. Inherently most victims of rape already blame themselves, and are more traumatized because of it, so this doesn't do any of them much of a favor. Many rape victims never even report it because talking about it makes them relive it, and they don't want any one to shame them. I had a stalker for a while, and there are some things I should have done better to get him arrested or distanced from me, but I thought I could handle it so I downplayed many things he did. Wh…

I disagree completely. As someone that is very pro womens rights, I think your view is scewed by what the noisiest, and worst amongst us have said. See, I'm not really sure how you differentiate feminism with women's suffrage. While they both tackled different issues, they were about the same thing technically speaking. I can't feel that feminism is far removed from the suffrage movement. "In all honesty feminist has replaced woman as the term used most. There are two good reasons for this. Feminist is a relatively gender neutral term. Second if every single post said women did this or women did that then it would devolve into true misogyny which is something this sub tries to avoid." This is exactly the problem. It replaces words, but holds true to the same meening. It gives the impression that either most/all women are feminists, and all feminists are man haters.

It is idealism. I agree with your advise, however I don't agree with the advice regarding apparel as there is no paralell between dress and rape. Rapist generally have a few different mindsets that are unique, one that is common is that rape doesn't exist in the way we see it, as women generally love being dominated and will always fight back viciously if they do not. This mind set is not fed by party girls, it is fed by any girl that smiles or shows interest. True a girl who is provocative can …

"I have not seen something equating all western women being feminists, care to share a link?" It isn't verbatum really. It is just pervasive throughout the comments. I often see a blame for feminism, when it isn't relevant. Like in custody battles. Feminism cannot be blamed for alimony and such as it has existed long before, and stems from the idea that women are not capable of being independent.. this is not a feminist ideal by any stretch. I do agree on the idea of the patriarch, as people des…

To turn mens rights into a boys club is both stupid and ineffective. In order to have equality, both sides must want it. ok captain angry pants I grew up on the west side of phoenix where my neighbor was arrest for dealing speed, and my best friend was addicted to cigarettes (she was 10) and her mom a crack addict. But yeah, I was pretty sheltered lol

Modern feminism actually teaches that porn is fine, and even empowering in some cased. But in any case, why do we need to discuss what a very large and all encompassing group thinks? What does it matter what some well known feminists think? They do not represent the average plain Jane. The reason most rapes occur to younger girls is for a few reasons. Those girls are young, naive, and usually they don't fight back. That is part of being young. For instance, I have notice that when I travel alone…

Hah, I was actually about to mention this. Any hoo, it isn't a given. When I was nailed by drunk driver it was 10pm on a Thursday night... and this guy was hammered beyond belief. Not a challenging anecdote, just wanted to add it in.

That freezing instinct is a bitch btw. It is half the reason women feel so shamed post rape. You feel like if you had fought more it wouldn't happen, and blame yourself because of it..Not fun stuff. I apologize if I misread as I got home yesterday after a very long day, kinda half dehydrated and drowsy. Commuting in az without a/c gets to you.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 07:31 PM
1

no, it's kind of because you were speaking of drunken sluts who wish to avoid personal responsibility. I don't wish to be offended, nor am I. I just think your knee jerk reactions to a very serious social situation are a bit much.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 07:28 PM
1

Then why bring it up at all? If we can all agree it shouldn't happen, and you should try to prevent it, but if it happens it is ultimately the fault of the perpetrator... then why argue? You shouldn't have to assume that being flirtatious, or wearing sexy attire to a club is grounds to be raped. That puts us in a dangerous mind set.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 07:27 PM

I disagree. Feminism granted me the right to vote, go to any college I want, and be president if I chose. Feminism was about legal barriers, and social equality. The feminist you speak of do not represent the average female any more than Mr. allfuckingwomenaregolddiggers represents the average mens rights activist. Men never lost their protective instinct around women, they just aren't as over protective, and that's ok. I don't need an escort every where I go, but I do appreciate it when my boyf…

no, just seriously fuck you. I actually care about mens rights, It bothers me that it is so easy for a man to lose his life after a single accusation. My dad used to be a landlord, and he once had a tenant try to blackmail her way out of paying rent by threatening to tell the cops that he molested me and my brother (5-2 at the time) That is scary shit. Their are assholes everywhere, and the fact that this hatred of my gender exist where in it's place social justice for everyone should be sought.…

While there are certainly some preventative measures women can take to prevent rape, such as bringing a weapon. To say the majority of blame for a rape lies with a woman is ludicrous. It would be like blaming the victim of a drunk driving collision for not avoiding the drunkard well enough.

Male rapes are traditionally difficult to keep track of given their usual locations and lack of belief when reported.

It doesn't increase the chance of rape, that is the point. the Slut Walk was about women saying that rape can happen to anyone, and people shouldn't assume the girl did something slutty to bring it upon herself. You are confusing the facts of rape with the stigma of rape.

"The operation should be performed by a surgeon without administering anesthetic, as the brief pain attending the operation will have a salutary effect on the mind, especially if it be connected with the idea of punishment." You don't seem to understand the walk at all. The reason they walked wasn't because of drunk rape, it was for all the times when women were raped and people commented or assumed that they could have prevented it if they weren't being so slutty. Mainly it was attributed to a politician who recently tried to take away public funding for abortions for rape victims... nice try tho

/r/MensRights08/06/11 02:22 AM

That is silly. How would it control male sexuality, circumsized guys still enjoy sex... that is the main difference between the two mutilations.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 02:21 AM
6

uncircumcised guys enjoy it more. They are more sensitive and require less lube because the foreskin kind of acts as a lube..
/r/MensRights08/06/11 02:20 AM
-7

yet you still choose this one scenario to describe a crime that is generally inflicted upon by those the victim trusts (SO's, friends, family) Only 20% of all rapes are committed by a stranger. That is rather insulting to all those who were taken advantage of.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 02:20 AM

"Man's natural protective instinct for women makes her the most powerful weapon to subjugate us and kill us off." This a million times!!! As a young female it took me a while to understand chivalry and such, I felt it was an insult, I was being treated like a child rather than an equal.. but this "respectful" treatment leads girls to a victim/princess mentality that isn't healthy.

"Women who self-righteously complain about rape in public, laugh in private about how easy it is to manipulate the system with fake tears and brag about how smart and superior they are cause they can get away with it." I don't think these are necessarily the same women.

I think it is just your relationship rather than the stay at home parent issue that bothers you. If I could I would totally work full time and support my bf if he did all the cleaning, cooking, and took care of the kids. I see nothing wrong with it.
/r/MensRights08/06/11 02:09 AM
1

This actually makes sense. It's a lot like how they found children of gay couples do better in school. Think about it. Any woman can be a single mom. But to be a single dad or a gay parent you likely had to fight hard for that custody, so it is likely that child means a lot to you.

The biggest difference is that female circumcision was done as a way to own women so that they wouldn't be unfaithful to their husbands, and is often done on 6-7yr old girls without anesthesia. Whereas male circumcisions are done on newborns without anesthesia for.... well I can't figure out a real purpose They are both pretty fucked up, but I think the former causes more harm.

Not really comparable. If you don't want to divource it sucks, but you are leaving a potentially toxic situation, whereas rape does nothing but create a toxic situation. Divorce is an unpleasant exit that changes the way you relate to your ex-spouse and children. Rape deprives you of the ability to feel safe and creates trauma that very few divorces can live up to.

Umm, half of marriages end in divorce.. no one said that half ended bitterly with the man losing everything. some people are civil. Even then, no one says you shouldn't protect yourself, it's just that when you have that auto safeguard on, and you are bitter towards an entire gender.. that can be a problem.

That is because we don't feel we have leeway. Girls are always depicted as these graceful delicate creatures that are made of sugar spice and everything nice. So we have more pressure to be physically appealing. Whereas guys seem to be able to just take pride in their bad habits. We don't get that, a disgusting girl always seems to get more flack than a disgusting guy because there is some sort of weird unhuman standard of glittery perfection for us.
/r/MensRights25/05/11 03:52 AM

That is bull and you know it. How many female lead roles can you name who were fat, stupid, but still won the heart of an intelligent rich, handsome man? The reason they do it with men is because their is less stigma. Women are more ashamed of their bodies than men are. nearly 2/3's of all women don't like their body, while this is only true for 1/4 of all men. They key difference is that women really do have more attached to their looks. Whether they like it or not.

Not back in the day, women used to die pretty frequently from childbirth and other such nonsense. Their health care wasn't better, they were just seen as weaker, so it was just white knightery. But no I don't think it is actually coming full circle, it is just what I believe is driving the train of thought that many seem to have. The reason there is less focus on men, is because I believe other people think that we need to come full circle.

Ok, for one thing, Osama's death is more of a political than a gender issue, you would have to be blind not to realize that. For another I don't believe in the modern day patriarchy, I agree sometimes it is hard being a female because there are still places that wont let go of their good ol boy system, but they are few and far in between. My insecurities have nothing to do with the overwhelming hate for my gender that is often expressed in this subreddit. A reddit where nearly every post will ha…

I have a strong feeling that being a female and disagreeing with any basic argument you have is enough reason for you to doubt me on any and all intellectual and emotional levels. Why yah gotta hate?

And so it begins lol. This is just silly. You and I both (hopefully) know that you cannot reduce the scope of human intelligence to the typing of a single none existent word. That's ok tho, keep going, this is getting rather glen beck

Liking every other form of sex does not meen you give permission for sex when you are blacked out. Of course she doesn't say this happened when she was blacked out, just that she had blacked out. So I feel it's easy to assume that they both drank too much, fell asleep and forgot everything. You don't get brainwashed into thinking you've been raped anymore than you get brainwashed into thinking that you get mugged when you forget your wallet on the city bus.

That is the problem with Rape, it is generally done without other witnesses, and if the guy uses a condom, evidence can be difficult to obtain, and even then proving it was not consentual is even more difficult. But this is rather disturbing. On one hand I don't feel rape victims should be interrogated, or treated like liars, but condemning an innocent man like this is appalling. We need more efficient lie detectors

No one is saying short term gains are better. The studies just show that women in these area are more likely to use that money to get an education, and better educate their kids. When you consider that said women are probably unlikely to get an education without any funding, this becomes much different than a similar situation here in the states. Really I haven't gone through any of these studies, as I'm sure most people here haven't as well, so this is all merely speculation.

I suppose it all comes down to perception. What kind of invest is best. They believe that the female investors spend more on things like education.. if you look at the American system there is some truth to that. womanhood is not more innate than manhood. As a female I agree. Male circumcision isn't cool. I've never had sex with a guy who was circumcised, so I don't know... but I see no reason to change it. The main difference is pretty significant. without a clit, we generally cannot orgasm, circumcised men can. Granted it is still less sensitive, the ability is still there. No one is saying that male circumcision isn't wrong, or horrid, they are just saying it is comparing apples and oranges.

lol, I know men can be just as bad, sam as women can be sexualy abusive. But that is irrelevant. I still question why bashing women is part of mens rights. This doesn't have anything to do with men, this has to do with children, and abuse that should be detected but is often let go.
/r/MensRights09/05/10 11:57 PM

what does this have to do with the article? Yes some women want to stay home, but that doesn't mean that all do. The idea of reinventing roles is just that. new roles that don't have to fit everyone. Some women want to be solitary CEOs, some want to go on scientific expeditions, others just want to care for their family. Why is that so interesting?

men are androgynous... didn't you know? They never require special treatment. Men play baseball, women can't handle it so we get softball. The defacto is always male, if a female is involved things must be changed to keep up with our delicate sensitivities :/

How does a bitch slap deserve a punch in the face exactly? The different between that and domestic abuse, is that those women have earned a place physically amongst their male comrades. Money doesn't mend a broken heart, it is just one more way to feel as tho you made them pay (even if it's literal) It is vindictive, but I'm not going to judge. I don't know how I would feel or react if that happened to me.
/r/MensRights16/02/10 06:23 AM

Or she hate him, and wants the money... At that point I don't think she really needs to pretend to care about him because what he did was heart breaking. Infididelity is a very painful thing for anyone, and I imagine it makes most people a tad bitter, and a tad vengeful.

I was wondering about that too. I'm 5'3, and 117lbs, but if I see a vicious gang rape I would damn well call the police.. if it were only one guy I would pull out my mace and grab a baseball bat.. but yeah.. I'm tiny.

Silly men, women are just as scared of rape, as you are of being falsely accused. Don't let fear ruin your life, just try to avoid the trouble makers.

I think the bigger difference between the two is that crying rape is usually done to hide shame, or as revenge. Rape has other motives.. Some of them involve the disbelief that what happened was actually rape.

As well as glorify rape. Seriously, how many movies is rape the main tool used to harm women? It is unbelievably common. How often is torture used? a whole lot less, that's for damn sure. I know I cannot watch films with graphic rape scenes, and it makes me wonder if using them so frequently doesn't desensatize those who already have problem with empathy.

I have a hard enough time working with guys (much much older than me) hitting on me. There is no way I could feel comfortable doing this. Lesbians don't bother me, you know why? Because I have never been sexually harassed (verbally or otherwise) by any lesbian I know. You can take this however you want, but the day they have coed restrooms is the day I stop using public toilets. Not to mention how much more common this would make public restroom sex.

I'm honestly more worried about them offending again. Most people who are raped are not raped and killed. They are raped by friends/family.

you say kinda bitter yourself.
/r/MensRights05/02/10 05:29 AM

It isn't a matter of being desired. Guys typically (college age) think about sex a wee bit differently than chicks. Yes I know college girls are horny, but I don't know too many that picture every attractive guy they see naked. Nor do women typically try to get down blouse pictures on their cellphones. Having a all female event just removes the sexual tension is all too common on campus. It doesn't mean we don't want men around (I actually prefer guy friends) We just want to be able to talk abou…

Yeah, as a female, I have to say I really, really am not comfortable going to the restroom as the same time, and in the same room as a guy. Just no.
/r/MensRights05/02/10 04:20 AM

Excellent point. This could easily be too touchy to involve both genders. I however see nothing wrong with men having their own meeting.

I have guy friends that are the same way. Yet, I wonder if this is a learned behavior or not. Intelligence can be learned, so I wonder if not being able to focus on it has made it hard some some to develop emotional intelligence..

It doesn't make sense that males discriminate against other males? Don't feel left out, women are tougher on other women as well.
/r/MensRights03/02/10 11:57 PM

I don't think I said anything about you. "And there is no difference between an 'extreme feminist' and the feminists who are shitting on men." Are you implying it is that black and white? There cannot exist women like myself who dislike some of the unfair treatment women get, but still have ability to love and care about men as a whole?
/r/MensRights03/02/10 08:25 PM

This is terribly funny. You guys keep talking about false rape accusations, lack of support and such. But that isn't a females fault. Seriously, most judges and law enforcement officers are men. Solution: think with your brain, not dick. Then the hot chicks will stop getting a slap on a wrist while men get a decade in prison.

I disagree, if the high divorce rate has taught us anything it is that marraige is about love now more than before. Before if you were in an unhappy marraige you stayed because you couldn't afford to leave, and it was looked down upon. Now people persue it because it makes them happy.

I don't think this is true. Women who are vindictive enough to do something like that after a divorce usually shows signs early on. When you're in love you just don't see the red flags.

No it isn't The topic isn't about a hypothetical situation in which the roles are to be reversed. The topic is how to feel starving people, while making sure those that get food don't sell it. Yes it's sexist, but sometimes you have to be sexist/racist/homophobic to get shit done.

Yes, let's not talk about the topic at hand, let's divert attention from a perfectly reasonable argument and talk about role reversals.. That helps so much. It saddens me that this has to be considered at all. RIght now I am more pissed at my boyfriend that I have ever been with anyone in my life (long story) and if were were legally bonded I cannot imagine trying take everything from him.. Who does that? Really?
/r/MensRights02/02/10 03:21 AM

You know it is possible to vent, and do something about a problem ;) This is generally how I deal with problem. Talking/venting gets it off your chest and makes it easier to tackle said problem, since now your frustrations aren't pent up.

I think I remember them doing studies when it came to education in third world countries. They found that women would often spend most their money on their children/husbands food, whereas the men would buy less immediately necessary things. That and I don't think they have too many women in charge of the gangs and shit like that.. so I suppose that is one way to keep them out of the hands of those who will.. I agree that this is one of biggest hurdles men face when it comes to equality. I'm not psychologist, but you don't think that emotional suppression and higher suicide rates might be linked? Not just suicide mind you, men are also more likely to turn to hard drugs and alcohol for comfort.

I honestly think this is just as much of a female issue as it is a mans. When I see articles about abusive females, the first comments usually (by guys) make light of it, and the comments just end up revolving around sexual innuendo. Stop being boys, and be men. If a guy is getting jacked up by a women, be supportive, not patronizing. If men as a whole could look at a bitch who hurts her man like that as something other than a sex object, maybe she wouldn't get sympathy handed to her on a silver…

As a general rule of thumb, that isn't a good thing. Yes they are both women, but women are generally harder on women then men are. I say this with much experience as a female. I would have prayed for a male judge if I were in her shoes.

They are hard to find, but if you look there are shelters that help both men and women who have had to leave abusive relationships. People often laugh at this scenario because the guy is bigger, and he should be able to pummel the woman, or at least leave. What they forget is that women have the same opportunities. We are not as physically strong, but we can physically leave at anytime, and we also have to ability to use weapons.

Oh no, I meant rape isn't common in the sense that it usually doesn't happen to people walking down the street. I think I read about 80% of all rapes are commited by a lover/friend. But yes, I am slowly leaning more and more towards getting a gun. but the idea in itself frightens me. I think I might feel better with a taser.
/r/MensRights27/01/10 05:12 AM

depends on the situation. It happens. I'm a bit more worried that someone might take my gun and use it against me. But this is probably because when I get scared I don't think clearly, and I make really stupid decisions.

/r/MensRights27/01/10 03:25 AM

I'm discounting it because the topic at hand is how women in the real world treat men they encounter during their day/night activities. Not what happens when you cram people into small boxes and deny them basic rights. I'm pretty sure if you brought up the military, it would even the stats as well.
/r/MensRights27/01/10 02:39 AM
1

lol, we both know what I mean. Out in the real world, women are much, much more likely to get raped. And if you want to bring up special cases may I remind you how common it is for women in the military to be raped or assaulted by people in her own unit? I will admit that men get the short of the stick in a lot of situations, but not for a moment will you convince me that rape isn't mainly a female problem.
/r/MensRights27/01/10 02:14 AM

Whore isn't a mark of honor anywhere... unless you get paid for it, and event then.. To be fair, women are chaste and virginal because it is so damn easy for us to get laid. It isn't a challenge like it is for guys. Of course guys have less to lose. Unless the girl can pin you down because you're in a relationship, you don't have to get preggers. Although that is also a double edged sword, because being able to give birth is pretty cool. And pregnant women are like gods, they can do no wrong.
/r/MensRights27/01/10 01:04 AM

"Males will, as a rule, report it many times less, because we're taught to endure." This I believe is a male issue. I see guys time and time again make fun of one another when women give them crap. The last time I remember reading about it, it covered rape within a relationship, sexing up a drunk chick, rape by a friend, and serial rape. I don't recall anything that wasn't consensual. that is a silly comparison and you know it. I am just as likely to be sexually assaulted by a white guy, as I am a black one. The point is we do have to be concerned. It is a problem. While it is a very uncommon one, it is still one. Would you like a strange guy walking behind you at night after you just got money out of an atm? Well replace money with vagina, and that is how most women feel.

It is great that you don't have to worry about rape, but as a female I do. I never used to look at strange men as a potential anything, but after being harassed multiple times, and being fallowed by strange men in cars (who made lewd gestures at me) I think I have a right to be slightly more suspicious of the opposite gender when I travel in dangerous areas, or on foot. You don't know anything about me, yet because I don't condemn those who consider themselves equality feminists, I must fit this image you have of a "bad" emasculating, ball crushing, woman. I'm a normal person that thinks there are many issues that render feminism still necessary. Just because I believe this does not mean I do not…

I'd go through the trouble of digging them up, but I don't think it would sway your opinion either way.

Sir, you just make me sad. I really do hope that you can quench your anger some day. But I qoubt there is anything I can say to fix that. I am a good woman, I treat my man well, and I have made many sacrifices for him, as well as other men. I have pushed for equality amongst both genders, and your words do not sting me because I know that deep down something hurt you, and you haven't fixed it yet. http://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/aofj9/shouldnt_we_be_empowering_boys_too/ peace

You condemn women for being horrible monsters, yet you have no problem being completely condescending.

and I've read enough books to convince me bigfoot is alive and somewhere in montana... Anyone can write a book. Ann Coulter, she writes books, and people read them.

Well rest assured. I am from the states, I am against special treatment, I am just as livid about mens rights as I am womens. Just because there are a few crazies doesn't mean they represent the rest of us.

I didn't realize reddit comments always needed to be on topic. But that's ok, if I give you an excuse to blow off anger issues you obviously have with my gender, then go ahead.

No, we just say that after you give us the dutch oven treatment.

Ok, not that does sound nice. not all the time, but yeah. The idea of going out and about not worrying about rape, or hidden cameras in the bathroom, or making sure when you walk under a bridge (like in a mall) no one above you can see down your shirt. But I suppose we all like to retreat into our own gender now and again.

I wouldn't really call it funny, just sad. Someone grew up around a lot of callous men. I will admit if am the victim of any sexual abuse it is most likely from a man, but that is stops making sense. I had a very loving father, ok brothers, and I've had relationships with wonderful guys. Yes there are times when I hate men, but that is usually after seeing the 50millionth overly sexualized character (you can't be both pure muscle and be a DD) or some guy older than my dad tries to pick me up (it…

Or maybe they fear that if they lose it, it will only be a matter of time before they have no rights to their child at all. must you always jump and and down pointing at those you believe have done your gender wrong.

That is a terrifying allegation. Someone tried to black my father with that once. Which is so ridiculous when you consider how protective he was of me and my brothers.

I would never imply such a thing. but there have been multiple studies that show that a mans name on an application is an advantage. Exclusive no, biased? yes.

All you have to do is start speaking up and stop making fun of one another when things like that happen. UNITY

the trade off is the only jobs that are easy for us to get are menial, and low paying, the jobs that are easy for you to get (everything but childcare) are at best great positions, at worst decent paying dirt jobs.

That is the general thought. The idea is that we should be able to fulfill your every need, and when we can't there is something either wrong with you or us.

"''data entry'' jobs at workplaces such as an airline, bank and charity and ''wait staff'' positions at places such as cafes and hotels." Wow, as a female I am so glad it is easier to get a crappy job. Totally worth the crap I deal with at a normal one.

"Journalist and author Rod Liddle, himself a reformed roué, says: “I reckon 90 per cent of married men – if they could be guaranteed to get away with it – would have affairs.” That's just sad. even if I got away scott free, I could never do something like that to by bf. Where the hell is the loyalty?

Usually blamed on the male? Where have you been? Violence against children is almost always by the mother or female caregiver. This is nothing new. Seriously, doesn't it get annoying to have to walk around with that chip on your shoulder.

That is because words like whore are used to shame us for sexual promiscuity. There is no male equivalent to whore. Sure you can say ca, stud,player,pimp.. but none of these words have the same sting.

Such and and harshness. I will be the first to admit that women are not blameless, but to deny how much easier it is for a woman to become physically battered is just silly. I understand that both genders are capable of manipulating their partner with emotional and physical abuse. But this article seems to drag out the old argument that if you give rights to one group (ie women) that you must inherently take them away from another (ie men.) I cannot imagine I am the only one who understands that…
