He sound dodgy… but not necessarily weird that he is not very concerned. HSV is very common and no biggie. However you should be aware that if he ever gave you oral, then HSV could have passed to your genitalia. It can be present/active, even if there are visible sores on lips or genitalia.

Drop him. Can’t believe he won’t even pick up the phone to call you. Video chat dates are certainly possible. And he should be making plans for you when the lockdown eases slightly in the next couple of weeks!

Someone HV in a argument will be solution-focussed rather than issue-focussed. They won't dwell on what happened; they will take ownership of their mistake or forgive (whichever is necessary) look forward to how to resolve the issue and identify how to prevent it reoccurring.

In your position, investing is not for you. You need to focus on building up an emergency fund in an easily accessible savings account. Aim for 3-6 months of expenses.

Girl, I feel for you. You spent a week conducting this experiment(?) to test yourself? to seek some sort validation? Why waste your time, energy and effort? Think of all the wonderful things you could have done for yourself in the hours you spent texting this NVM. Please, take time to heal and if you haven't already, check out r/FemaleLevelUpStrategy!

If he doesn't want anything, don't send him anything. Besides, he hasn't put steps in place for you to be able to send anything. A nice text message and a video call would surely be enough?

Never ever mix work and pleasure! Especially not with your boss! Please, at the very least, hide your story from him but ideally, block him. He sounds like a predator and you should report him for asking you uncomfortable questions.

Tell him you want to make the most of this lockdown and develop a new skill, so you’ll be less available during the day. It might be hard to set down the boundaries now, but it will be a test of his character to see if he respects it.

What a psycho! After just meeting a woman, he thinks he owns her and is entitled to control her freedom to date and communicate. This is the lowest of the low and wrong on so many levels. The amount of effort these scrotes put in to do these messed up things is deplorable.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/12/20 05:28 PM

Ugh! In the past, has done my head in. Similarly, when you ask them to do something and there is a complementary step that goes with it, which is obvious, so you think to yourself "I don't also need to ask him to do that" and then he only does the initial step... You ask him why he didn't do it and the response it: "but you didn't ask me to!". So frustrating!

What about alternative option, such as informing him that you’re arriving, leaving the cat on the doorstep (I presume you will take it in a cage) and keep your distance while checking he opens the door/takes the cat inside. You could use covid as an excuse as to why you won’t enter his home. Another alternative could be doing the same thing but him coming to collect it from you. Men are selfish because they know demanding what they want and being inconsiderate to women works. And it works because most women do not say the simple word of ‘No’. Exhibit A is OP putting his desires first and going on a date when she didn’t want to. Now all she has to show for it is Covid...

I am thinking (rather, hoping) that this is satire. Because she is doing all these things and there is no man in the video. Hey Ladies, a question for those of you on/with experience of dating apps: how long would you message a guy for until you cut him off for not asking you out?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/20 06:05 PM

I understand your frustration but the reasoning is a bit odd. You don't have the energy for small talk but you have the energy to type out a super long rant/message? I would channel the energy elsewhere because it doesn't sound like there is much (if any) ROI.

I am 5'10 too. Being tall does limit the amount of partners in the pool but I consider it a blessing in disguise. Both men and women can be intimidated by tall women but that is not your problem. If they are so small minded to feel triggered by your height, then they are not worth your time. And those girls who laughed at you: the root of it was most likely jealousy but they would never admit that. You "met" him online - i.e. didn't meet him - a few months ago and he then ghosted you... All these months later, you are still thinking about him, chatting with him and considering putting effort, skill and labour into a song cover for his sole benefit?! Forgive the directness but if he had a crush on you, he would not have ghosted you. From an objective point of view, it just sounds like he is bored and wants someone to give him attention back up with the pretense that he is interested in you.…

I know what you mean. When I was living the US, I couldn't find much small clothing either. Depending on your budget, I would suggest Reiss (UK brand but is in the US) for timeless pieces. They are not cheap but fab quality. They go down to a UK 4 (US 0), which I am so thankful for! There are more affordable styles in small sizes on ASOS, but fit and quality are hit and miss.

Some basics: put your napkin on your lap as soon as you are seated, work through cutlery outside in, always sip from the same spot of your wine glass. Etiquette is an easy thing to learn, as you can mock up the situation at home to practice.

If it were me, I’d put a loose plan in the diary at this point e.g. the weekend after you return. Not a set date, just in case your plans change/you don’t feel up to it. Some may disagree though. As for while you’re on holiday: let him know of your journey plans—he should check that you got to your destination safely. With regard to general texting, I would expect him to text asking whether I am enjoying/is the weather nice etc. around a couple/few days in.

So your concern is that he is dating other women while dating you? Isn't that the norm and the reverse is something you should be doing too? Don't put all your eggs in one basket! Personally, I wouldn't have told the Sister anything about reading the messages but I admire your honesty. You shouldn't feel bad about looking at the messages - you had to look to find the contact. Why don't you want to go on another date with him? Is it because you're worried his Sister told him what you told her?

I’ve only watched it on the tv before so don’t have much of a clue on being a spectator. Rugby guys can have the worst reputation and, quite rightly, but this guy is very bookish. Still, will be interesting to if he is different amongst his team mates.

If you enter a contract, the things you have to do are your obligations. If you don’t fulfil your obligations, you get “punished” [fines, penalties, property seized etc.] in some shape or form. So, my interpretation of his “pun” is that he loves it when a woman knows her place (i.e. her obligations) and does as she’s told and is obedient (complies with obligations). Could be reading into it too much but I’d be wary of this guy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/20 10:25 PM

It’s not really a law pun. (I’m also a “lawyer-to-be”)

In my experience, I have found that the majority of men are inept with regard to emotional intelligence. They read words as they are written on the screen, but do not consider the emotions behind them or the choice of words. My rule is, if it’s “emotional” in nature, I’m discussing it in person. If that’s not possible, then I’m calling him, at a time that suits me.

That’s good re the introduction - it’s enough to be amicable for the sake of keeping professional. Sorry to hear about that difficult point in your life. While it was of course something you would never want to put value on, what you can do is value how far you have now come and the strong woman you have developed into. Look at this Aaron thing as another hurdle for growth and development. I would not recommend bringing up the past with him, only looking forward. You’re a completely different pe…

Glad you don’t want to date him. I would try to avoid your other colleagues knowing about you and A’s history though. To address the issue, I would ask yourself: What is the root of this effect he is having on you? Are you frightened of him or nervous of something he might say? Once you identify why you feel/react this way, you could then work on resolving it. Also, remember you worked at this place before him so you are in the stronger position.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/02/20 05:33 PM

First things first: dating a colleague is always a bad idea. Second, don’t ever let a man affect your ability to your job. I’m terms of avoiding the blushing etc. I don’t think there is anything you can do per se, other than train yourself not to do it. Think in your head “I work with A and it is very likely, if not inevitable, that I will see him today. But I am going to approach the situation as if he is any other colleague.” Maintain your strength and professionalism at all times and you will…
