OP, I have been married 9 years. From my experience, I can tell you that you should not marry your fiancée. At the very least, tell her you want to take a break and postpone the wedding.

I’m not a spiritual man, but I remember reading that part in Matthew when I was in high school and it always stuck with me. Something about two guys who are fasting. One of them makes a grandiose display of his fasting by letting his condition visibly deteriorate so that everyone can see his righteous suffering, so that they will applaud him for fasting. He is a beta cuck. The other guy gets up every morning, bathes, dresses in clean clothes, takes care of his appearance, and basically STFU. He …

This is among those top quality posts which first got me hooked on MRP and shed some light on the hard, true path towards killing the beta. Posts like these have become increasingly rare over last couple years.

Yeah I hate the idea of losing athletic performance but it would be temporary while I cut down to about 10-12% body fat. As soon as I hit that I would reintroduce carbs into the diet.

This is currently what I am doing now, but I feel like if I hit my daily protein goal (about 180 grams), I’ll bust my caloric cap (about 2,600 cal). So, I figured with Keto it would be easier to get enough protein and still maintain my caloric deficit.

For strength, I’m running Tactical Barbell’s Operator template, which is three days a week. I’ll typically do Mon, Wed, Fri. Hockey practice is Sunday, but games can be any day of the work week, it varies. So, by default I’ll do something like this. Monday: Lifting Tuesday: Long, steady state, low intensity endurance Wednesday: Lifting Thursday: hockey game Friday: Lifting Saturday: always rest Sunday: hockey practice Again, I switch things up based on what day of the week the game is.

I highly, highly recommend that you listen to this interview: Marriage Secrets from a Divorce Lawyer This is the advice I wish I had gotten before I got married.

It’s not bad for you. It’s good for you. Just don’t stretch before a strength workout. Doing it just prior to lifting robs the muscles of their elastic “snap.” Dynamic stretching is generally considered ok, just don’t over do it. Focus on getting into the right range of motion for the exercise (squat etc) and nothing else.

So, you’ve been together six years and she still acts like a bratty child. Totally disrespects you for petty shit. You’ve been together for six years and you still get so affected that you have to drive around for two hours just to calm down? Why do you still put up with it? You ain’t married. Why are you locking yourself down with this chick? Personally, any girl who pulled his shit on me would be hard nexted for good.

Oh boy. I read through your prior posts. Looks like you haven’t changed a bit. 10lbs?! 10 measly pounds and you think if she loses that then magically you’ll be happy and she’ll be happy and you’ll never need to post on MRP again? Wake up, dude. It’s not her, it’s you. You’re addicted to pussy. That’s fine, if that’s what you want. But don’t blame it on your wife. Improve yourself, find a mission to focus on. Or divorce her and move on.

You’re lucky I’m waiting for a haircut right now, so I have nothing better to do than to read your whole post. I understand your frustration. Look, you can try and dread your way to our wife’s pussy, but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. You already went straight to cheating, and that only got you a temporary increase in sex, which soon abated. You say MRP is your “last resort” to get some steady wife pussy. Wrong approach IMO. Just playing devil’s advocate here, but maybe it’s you that is the problem. Sounds like you carry a lot of pre-existing resentment about your managers. That, coupled with your obvious disdain for the job, might just rub your co-workers the wrong way. It’s great that you have an RP mindset, but you’ve got to learn to separate that shit from professional life.

The sad thing is that today’s young generation doesn’t know anything else other than victimhood because their parents and teachers, and all their role models, all of them played the victim card and taught their kids that nothing is their fault.

Tough situation for sure. Based on my petty research, there’s no easy cure for this condition. I will tell you this: her refusal to have sex with you, even sex acts, however “sincere” she may be, will eventually kill your marriage. Rage and frustration will build up inside of you, and she will start to resent you for it even though she knows good and well the reason why you are frustrated. Is there some kind of traumatic event in her past that led to this condition?

Here’s how to separate yourself from the herd and make you attractive to the right type of women: 1) Own your own car. Doesn’t have to be fancy. Just not a POS. Used is fine. Don’t go into massive debt for a new car. 2) Fashion. Dress better than the average military dude. 3) Make friends outside the military. 4) Have hobbies that can introduce you to social circles outside the military i.e. join clubs 5) Don’t talk about the military with women unless they ask you; it bores them and they don’t …

Why is a 225 bench so hard for a 20 year old to achieve? That’s actually not that much weight. With proper diet and sticking to a STRENGTH program (not hypertrophy), you will be surprised at how fast your strength goes up. By strength I mean the classic heavy weight, low rep, medium to low volume programs such as starting strength.

This was me at 19/20. I joined the army. Found something bigger than myself. My social life improved drastically. This solution is not for everyone. All that “improving yourself” shit is just a means to an end. That “end” is getting laid. Sounds like OP has serious issues, possibly stemming from a traumatic upbringing. He wants to be a teenager again. He is suicidal. I can guarantee TRP will not help him at this point in time. Maybe later. OP, you need therapy. Asking a bunch of randos on the interznet is not a good idea for your situation.

Purchase the book “Starting Strength” by Mark Rippetoe. There should be plenty of cheap, used copies on the internet. You are 16, a novice athlete by any stretch, in any discipline. What routine puts mass on novice athletes quickly? Any fucking routine! Your body will adapt to literally anything you do and grow muscle. But only at the novice stage. So enjoy it. This should be easy. Dry hump all the girls in the club one by one to assert your alpha status. If a male challenges you, threaten to beat him with a rock. If he runs away you win. If he doesn’t you must kill him or you become an outcast and must find another a club. Make sure you are yelling as loud as you can throughout this process and waving your arms. Don’t worry. Half the posters here are probably full of shit. This is Reddit after all. TRP theory is sound. But your problem is that you’re comparing yourself with random dudes on the internet. There are many possible reasons why you’re not seeing progress. Incorporating TRP principles into your life and relationship takes TIME. Be stoic about it; do NOT display butt hurt-ness; do not indicate that what she did got to you. If she is truly sorry about it, she will make it up to you. The key is sparring. Does the martial art allow you to spar? That’s what sets certain martial arts apart from each other. If sparring isn’t featured at least once or twice a week in a certain martial art, then it’s not worth your time. Boxing, MMA, sambo, bjj, wrestling, judo, Muy Thai all feature sparring. Karate, Krav Maga etc often times don’t feature full-on sparring.

4-day split sounds like too much but you can always give it a try. Depends on a lot of factors: how seasoned of an athlete you are, genetics, diet and recovery, and how hard you train during MMA practice. Looks like you’re lifting for hypertrophy. Nothing wrong with that. With MMA only 2x a week, you might be able to pull it off. Give it a try and see if you make gainz over a period of a month. Overtraining is definitely real, especially if you are mixing these two disciplines. However, if you a…

Yes, you can combine combat sports and lifting. Well known MMA S&C coach Joel Jamieson advises that while training martial arts about 3x week, you can fit in two lifting sessions per week and still see strength gains without losing MMA conditioning. However, sessions should be focused on strength, not hypertrophy. That means heavy weights, low volume. And don’t trash yourself. Maybe 3-4 exercises total. Make sure they are compound movements. Hypertrophy work and dedicated martial arts generally …

Yes, you can afford to dedicate 3 months to trying to gain some bulk. Yes, your running will suffer. But if you have a solid endurance base, which sounds like you do, you will still be able to keep up with all your unit running. While lifting for gainz, you can run 2, maybe 3 times a week max. OP, why stay in your marriage? I’m genuinely curious, as I am in a similar situation. Is it for your children’s sake? Do you still love your wife? Are you afraid of divorce rape? Your wife sounds like a miserable bitch, how can you stay with someone who doesn’t respect you? TRP can do a lot of things, but it can’t force you to love someone if you don’t love them anymore. Wouldn’t you be happier if you left?

No, I don’t see this “guide” being of any use to anyone.

This isn’t really a guide. Sounds more like a list of you telling yourself what you want to hear.

Agreed. Everyone always says at TRP: Just Lift Bro! Well, if you follow that logic, then you need to be learning how to fight as well. IMO martial arts should be just as much an iron rule as lifting. If you think lifting does wonders for your body, mind, and spirit, then you'll be blown away by the effects martial arts training. You don't need to be Conor McGre…

It’s a catch 22. A real manly man always trains for performance to be the best version of himself, and laughs at the pretty boys in the gym doing Scott preacher curls and dumbbell flies. However, those pretty boys are out smashing mad pussy. What to do? Find a sport that allows you to train both attributes effectively. MMA/martial arts comes to mind.

It's obvious you have some growing up to do. I don't believe for a minute you truly understand what you are writing (while were "drunk af," as you admitted). You need to live a little, experience, deploy, try to kill someone while they are trying to kill you. Then you can come back and write about "becoming dangerous."

I think you missed the point.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
