Laura Doyle explicitly states that her strategies will not work in an abusive relationship. And this is abusive. You need to leave him. I could give you the exact reasons why if you'd like, but only if you're considering these replies seriously. Because this is serious. You are NOT pathetic or weak or silly or stupid. You are a woman suffering the leadership of a controlling, angry, abusive man.

Idk if many women here read askmrp, your husband is going through all the phases of swallowing the redpill, but he is going about it the wrong way. He is going full Rambo and then lashing out at you because he doesnt have enough frame for him to make demands of you (am I using the terminology right?). I'm sure he is reading all the stuff on trp when he should be reading askmrp which is more ldr and marriage oriented. Maybe see if he'll post on there and ask for help. I'm sure the veteran's will …

People saying they are young and so they have time to figure things out is a wishy washy answer so they don't have to self-reflect and figure out what they want. Not knowing what you want to do when you're 13 is fine. When you're in college, sure maybe you don't have the specifics down, but you should have a general idea of what you want! I've found that people who say the above let life happen to them and think that as time goes on they will magically find out their goals. That's not how that w…

I didn't want to come across as judgemental, but we see a lot of marriages like this in the military especially among recently enlisted. The couple is young and "in love" so they get married. Once they are married reality sets in and usually divorce occurs. Unfortunately, a good friend of my husband's is going through a divorce right now from this exact scenario.

I'm a current military wife and we were married a year and a half ago so I can give you some practical, true advice. You need to have your dependent ID ASAP. This is how the military knows that he is married. That is why he's not getting a living stipend. This should have been the first thing you did after getting married. (We married Saturday and went on Monday). To get your card you need to go to a DEER office because they take your picture. There should be a website online that tells you loca…

I read the 100/0 principle and I think itd help you. Its a short read so its not a big commitment. The TL&DR is that to have great relationships you need to take 100% of the responsibility without expecting reciprocity. This doesnt mean let people take advantage of you, but rather in terms of reaching out to others. You mention your family members don't reach out, but do you? You are responsible with maintaining your relationships with them. I live out of state away from my family and friends wi…

My husband is not "rich" yet but is on his way to making six figures. (Low cost of living state) I come from an affluent family and I'm finishing up school which will lead me to a guaranteed career of just under 6 figures as well. My parents are generous fiscally (though we often do not accept gifts and try not to rely on them too much). With our earning power and potential inheritance, I would say by our thirties/forties we will be quite well off. (Not hollywood levels of rich though lol). Howe…

Yes, my husband and I opted to not live together before marriage. Mostly due to family pressures, but also because I noticed at least among people I know that moving in together slows down the timeline which was not what I wanted. However, it does work for some! My good friend just became engaged with a wedding date for next year and her and her fiance are living together

I've been married for a year and a half now. Here's my take: if you haven't lived together yet, there will be growing pains. Sit tight, it will pass. Be vulnerable, and communicative. Set the tone for your marriage. This is the time where the patterns of your marriage will form. Meal planning cuts down on food waste, financial waste, and time waste. Set out defined roles for chores, and get into a cleaning schedule. Figure out your finances and budget now, if you haven't already. Learn your husb…

The definition of fury is "unrestrained or violent anger, rage, passion, or the like" while the definition of anger is "a strong feeling of displeasure andbelligerence aroused by a wrong" Therefore anger would be the correct term as it is driven by injustice against oneself whereas fury is uncontrolled and cannot be directed.

This isnt really a great solution, but what works for me is when I'm walking I always "walk with a purpose". Meaning I'm walking quickly and have a very no nonsense affect. I usually also employ the RBF and I refuse to make eye contact with men around me. It doesnt stop the stares, but it stops most verbal catcalls. If they say anything, I just completely ignore them. I don't even glance at them. That usually keeps it from escalating.

Usually people who say they "can't cook" just mean they won't try. There are a ton of recipes online that are beginner friendly. You don't even need to own a cookbook anymore.

Just politely shut down her comments whenever she says one. When she talks about planning together, "I'm actually getting help from my mom/sister/aunt" If she gives you opinions about the wedding, "Thank you, ill keep that in mind." When she talks about being invited, "Oh I'm sorry, but we're keeping the wedding small. You know how expensive they can be nowadays!" You need to enforce boundries or she will continue to make comments and I'm sure ball bust her way in.

I'm a military wife, we were married at 23, so I understand the thought process and desire. However, I really caution you to hold off. Yes, there are some exceptions where getting married that young works out, but that's not the rule. Wait until he brings marriage up. So basically, you want someone who aligns with your political views and isn't a bigot. Great. But what character values are you looking for?? Do you want someone adventurous, or dependable. Or someone who really values family, or a person who prioritizes athletics or knowledge or what have you. You need to figure out the QUALITIES you desire in a man before you can look for him. Don't reach out to him. You did the right thing by walking away since he was still figuring things out with his ex. That's usually more trouble than its worth. The only reason you want to reach out is to fan your ego by making him react to you. Stop that. Go live your life and find someone else who is emotionally available.

I wouldn't worry about being a virgin. I think the media like to portray that it's unusual for college kids, but reality is that there are a lot of virgins in college especially the first two years. I was a virgin till I met my husband at 20. I didn't know he would be my husband then, and we had sex relatively quickly. BUT, I followed my gut. Do you have Netflix? YMMV but I've found watching media that shows the hardships of parenting helps curb my baby craziness (the desire is still there, but it doesn't drive me insane lol). The show the Letdown I think is great at showing some of that. It's about a new mom struggling to fulfill her role. Spend a day or so out of your house (doing errands or something). Come back after several hours and you will be able to smell the actual scent of your space. You get used to scents you are around, but being in a different environment for several hours will make the scent "new" again.

If you're willing to spend the money, NARS creamy radiant concealer is my favorite. It's really great for under eye circles. I also love Bite Beauty lipsticks. Chai of their amuse bouche line is my favorite. It's just a couple shades darker than my natural lip color so it's just enough when I want something more understated.

I'm starting graduate school next spring and I really wanted a new (small/basic) laptop so I could take notes and carry it around easily. Yes, I do that as well! If you're only doing the natural family planning method, you can also take your temperature daily to see when you're ovulating. I don't since we use condoms except for the least risky of days, but most of the women in my family have success with it.

This was why I never went on the pill. Condoms work just fine, and timing unprotected sex with my cycle (do at your own risk) works for my husband and I. We've been doing this for four years and haven't had one pregnancy scare.

That really depends on your friend group and the situation. If its casual, at someone's house, and it wouldnt be out of place, sitting on his lap would be okay. Massaging is over the line I think. Don't make your friends uncomfortable with your PDA. Hand holding would be a good compromise though,

I'd say this is pretty common. It was the same with my husband and I when were dating. Every time it happened, I would just reiterate that it hurt or was uncomfortable. He always apologized and backed off. It seems like your husband is doing the same. It takes two parents to create a child. It should be the two who raise the child. I'm going to copy part of a comment reply here so OP can see it. it sounds like you're still recovering from the past relationship. It's normal to think about exes from time to time especially if it ended in a disappointing way. The mind likes to play the what if game. It's human. When a man is inconsistent and his words don't match his actions, he's not a quality man. He's not into you. He's trying to give you just enough so you'll stick around and maybe sleep with him. Find someone who will be consistent and not play games. You'll be much happier.

I would urge you to look into CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) especially REBT (rational emotive behavior therapy). I'm not telling you that you need to see a therapist, but if you research it and some of its methods you can employ them for yourself (especially since this is a mild thing). I think you're pretty spot on with your second part on the phrasing of the desires. These are very similar to the style Laura Doyle reccomends. Its about expressing desires not making demands. "I would love..." Vs "I want..." Are very different tones on paper, but I suppose the tone verbally will greatly change whether you're demanding or expressing desire. I think everyone would like to be spoken to respectfully regardless if "they have shields up". Which, I hope they wouldn't if you're in an e…

Be careful about branching out with skin products. You never know how you're going to react to a product. Honestly, a simple straight forward routine is best especially if its working for you. I use witch hazel as well and its wonderful. It makes the skin look so fresh and healthy. The only thing I might add to that is I have heard that vitamin E serum under the eyes is really good for the skin, but I still need to do some research on that!

If ideal personality traits were all that was needed for a romantic partner, we would not have the issue of guys being "friend-zoned". Attraction is innate. While women can sometimes see attraction grow with time, if there's none initially, it will not work out.

I was going to comment, but you perfectly expressed my thoughts on this post. Mental illness is difficult, but it does not absolve you from responsibility of your actions. You can not have "panic attacks" where you yell and scream and cry at the person you supposedly love, blame it on your illness, and still expect them to want to marry you. People want stability in their lives. They don't want the anxiety of wondering when the next time they'll have to deal with OP's fits.

Why would you need to it to increase RMV? RMV is a set of characteristics and behavior that help increase your desirability as a romantic partner. Religion is wholly separate from that unless your desired partner requires religion from you.

If he isn't giving you a direct answer it is likely because he knows telling you no directly will cause issues, which is indicative of some things you may need to work on I think it's more that he doesn't want to disappoint me since we were supposed to go on a date. I told him I was perfectly okay with staying at home, or doing something else. But, I will keep that in mind for the future! I generally don't assume I should get invited to anything work related. I didn't assume. He told me that we …

Thanks for the input! Yes, those are usually the guidelines I follow as well unless he tells me otherwise. Unless he wants me there, I'll probably go visit my friend who just had a baby :)

I would say keep the menu simple to avoid being over the top! I would do a main, a couple sides, and a dessert. For recipes, I would do "traditional" picnic foods. For the main, maybe a variety of finger sandwiches such as cucumber, chicken salad, cold cuts. If you want something warm, I would bring burger patties (you could make the patties yourself and make them "gourmet"with goat cheese and herbs) or hot dogs and have him use a park grill (activity and dinner lol). For a couple sides, I'd bri…

I agree with Kara_El. Cooking a man dinner is a pretty forward/intimate gesture. It can often imply after-dinner "dessert" which you don't seem to want. Also, men are not stupid. Most of them know that when you are going out of your way to cook for them in that capacity, your trying to demonstrate girlfriend qualities, so this could end up coming off too strong too soon. I also think that baked goods (for a special occasion), or a more casual picnic outing is a good way to demonstrate your cooki…

I feel the same way! My husband and I almost have a running joke of it. He'll mention girls who find him attractive or that he thinks are attractive. We joke around about it. Its all in fun because he never makes me doubt his committment or love for me. BUT, it does help me feel like I DO need to upkeep myself to continue to be attractive as he does the same for me

If you're only dating for three days and you get upset by him often enough you need to learn how to manage yourself, perhaps you're not compatible? You might need someone who is softer verbally. Regardless, when you are upset, STFU is usually a good tactic unless they are trying to communicate with you (I'm guilty of this as well). The best thing you can do is calmly state what youre feeling. When you acknowledge your emotions in a calm manner they are usually easier to control/resolve. In this …

Unless he's telling you how hot and sexy she is, I'd probably let it go. Men are attracted to looks primarily. You never really hear about a man leaving or cheating on his girlfriend because "she was just so nice". If he is playing games with you, I'd bring it up during a neutral time with something along the lines of "I feel insecure when you compliment the girls you work with," and see, what he says. He might be oblivious and not know what he's doing. If he's playing games, I'd be wary.

If you're determined and realistic about marriage, and willing to put in the work, youth should not be an issue (esp if you're redpilled). I began dating my husband after my 20th birthday, and knew he was the one about a month later! We were engaged a year and a half later (much to the chagrin of our family--"we were too young" hilarious since my mother was engaged at 19!) and were married at 23. Our marriage is still going strong and it's so wonderful to already have my life partner while many …

I've been trying to kick this habit as well! My issue is that I bite out of stress or anxiety, but only ever do it in private when there's no one to feel embarrassed by. What I've had succes with is mitigating some damage by only allowing myself to bite one nail on each hand (my thumbs), the rest of my nails are growing in nicely and when I can't stop myself at least the rest of my nails look okay. The other thing I've had success with is the glue-on acrylic nails. They're easy to put on, and th…

I'm grateful for this sub! I found this place right after I got married and was having a really hard time with the transition (I not only got married, but moved 600 miles away from family, and went back to school to change careers). Husband and I were having horrible fights. This sub really kicked my butt into gear in how I should be treating my husband, and dealing with my emotions. Hey, I had the same thing happen to me last year when I had never really had bad acne before. It was horrible, my self-esteem plummeted. It resolved itself when I realized what was happening but it took months. What helped me the most was just doing what I could in terms of concealer and foundation. This will pass in time, keep your chin up!!

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and stop sleeping with guys when you're not in an ltr. Like someone else suggested go into nun mode and sort yourself out. The best way to make yourself "not a plate" is to stop being one. Improve your style, hit the gym, improve your social skills, and decide what you want in life and the kind of man that will fit into that. Only when you start being the type of woman who guys want to date, will you find the right kind of guys. YOU are responsible for your action…

There are individuals that aren't stereotypical on campus. I happened to find my group through a sorority (we went to a research/stem school so the environment of social sororities was very different from typical). However, I also made plenty of friends other ways. Friendship comes from familiarity and common ground. Therefore, you will naturally become friends with people you see often. Here are I think the four main ways to make friends in college and ill talk about each of them. Living situat…

It wouldn't matter so much to me if his past women were low SMV. What would bother me is if he used low value ways to get those women, I.e. craigslist. It hints that he can't get women to sleep with him by himself(even when his SMV is higher) or that he's too lazy to put the effort in even in a low risk bar scenario. It would make me question if he can't close for some reason or if he has some sort of personality flaw that hasnt shown itself yet.

Based on his reaction, I'm,wondering how you bring up issues. Are you using I statements? Are you non-accusatory. Are you stating a desire or a feeling instead of a critism? Are you bringing them up at the wrong time (when he's stressed or right after he gets out of work, before he's eaten, etc?) What are examples of these issues? Regardless, withholding affection would be a dealbreaker for me...but that's my love language, and if you alter your behavior you may be able to remedy the situation.

I used to be an avid reader of /r/skincareaddiction. One of the best takeaways I recieved from there is to look at the products your using, sometimes you can be sensitive to certain ingredients. Many people are sensitive to cetyl alcohols, others it was algae extract, some were just using products that were way too harsh on the skin which dehydrated it, ramping up the skins defense mechanism---oil production. Essentially making it worse. However, I've had really good results with using thayer's …

I prewash my dishes too! Haha I might try your method. It sounds like a good way to loosen all the gunk off the pots and pans before scrubbing. Thanks :)
/r/RedPillWomen06/09/18 11:28 AM

How do you girls deal with dishes when you have a small sink? Growing up my mom would fill one side with soapy water and then use the other to rinse. Right now, my sink is so small though, I've been making do by using the dishwasher as much as possible and then washing what I cant dishwash under running water (as opposed to filling the sink). Is there a better way to be doing this??

That's wonderful that you could find a partner that exhibits all those qualities! I think one of my big struggles (as with many women) is becoming overwhelmed by stress and being over emotional. My husband is very understanding, but I know I could do better.

I think men, especially confident men who attract many women, will not stop seeing others if you are in an established friends-with-benefits scenario. Why would he stop seeing other people if you are not receptive to his romantic advances? Why would he get rid of his options if you're not a guarantee? It does not make sense for him. Men do not equate sex with love. That's a women's perspective.

Not necessarily, but they are what I grew up with! Both of my grandmothers were Italian so a lot of my cooking is from there. But, I'm American so I usually am making a fusion of something lol. My husband's grandmother is Slovenian so I have to make potica this year, which thankfully his grandmother gave me the recipe. Those cookies looks so cute! I will have to try making them at some point. That's a lot of places! How many cookies do you usually make around the holidays?

You could turn working on your projects into a date. Pick out a cute coffee shop or cafe, bring your laptops, and work on your projects there as you chat and bounce ideas of each other. You could do this once a week or once every two for an hour or so. The gym is most likely something you will need to do on your own. Could you go with a girlfriend? Or, you could join a club that's activity is physical aka rock climbing, hiking, ultimate frisbee, etc.

I meal plan weekly as well! It really helps reduce food waste and the grocery bill. I will pick one or two past favorites, and then the rest are usually new recipes (unless it's a horribly busy week, then I pick from my recipe bank). I love your perspective! I have felt I've lost a lot of my purity of heart as I have gotten older. What has helped you gain purer intentions? I'm Catholic raised, but I no longer feel like the Church is the place for me. When you are vetting your current partner, I think a lot of it has to do determining what mix of alpha/beta traits he has that you need and if you both have similar morals and life goals. Determining if you're a good match based on similar values and goals is pretty cut and dry. I think the big topics would be children, financials, religion, politics, lifestyle, and ambition. Does he not want kids and you do? Dealbreaker. Cliche as it is, having someone you know you can count on no matter what. We both actively work to make each other's lives easier. There is a definite difference between being married and being in a committed relationship. In marriage, there is no easy way out. You know that you guys are a team no questions asked. You are both bonded and working towards shared life goals as opposed to two individuals working towards similar but individual life goals.
