I used to be in that situation. I would work from home, go to the gym and go to bed. Super isolating.

I just had to take life by the horns, so to speak, and make it happen for myself.

I introduced myself to my downstairs neighbor and invited her out for drinks. She's awesome.

I joined a book club.

My sister in law is moving to the area soon.

I actually spent more time with my mother-in-law and find myself genuinely enjoying it.

You just gotta get creative and out of your comfort zone, babe.

I read the 100/0 principle and I think itd help you. Its a short read so its not a big commitment. The TL&DR is that to have great relationships you need to take 100% of the responsibility without expecting reciprocity. This doesnt mean let people take advantage of you, but rather in terms of reaching out to others. You mention your family members don't reach out, but do you? You are responsible with maintaining your relationships with them. I live out of state away from my family and friends with my husband. I rarely have friends and family reach out to me. I take the responsibility of keeping up those relationships myself. If you're family and friends can say "I never hear from so and so" that is your responsibility to remedy
