Oh goodness. To be entirely honest, I don't tend to frequent many blogs. The majority of my internet time is spent on Reddit or YouTube, so I'm not the best person to ask about that. If anyone else has blog recommendations for us, feel free to mention them!

You're welcome! It was a reminder for me, too- part of why I shared it here.

Absolutely. Honestly, I think this is a solid list for all of us, men and women. But this is definitely something that we need to pass down to the next generation.

That's so true! I feel like people forget that there is a way to be both honest and kind.

exemplifies traits you can exhibit daily That's such a good way to put it. That's really what I liked about this list, was the simple ways we can all be like this on a daily basis. I totally get the stress! I'm downsizing my wardrobe, because there's a lot that I don't wear or fit, and planning to revamp into a capsule. However, I think you can still dress appropriately with a capsule wardrobe! Just a matter of the right pairing, I suppose! :)

That second to last paragraph really wraps it up. He doesn't sound like he's willing to put in the work to make an LDR work, nor does it sound like this is coming to an end anytime soon. Also, the fact that he brushes off your concerns about your relationship worries me a little. Even if this is your first relationship, you have a right to have concerns about things when they pop up, and if you're expressing them in a reasonable and respectful manner, I don't know why he'd just brush it off. Is …

How kind! Thank you! Honestly, I'm thinking that we'll wait until after the holiday season to start any planning. I just want to enjoy this stage for a bit!

I'm not too sure that my overall style changed that greatly, more that I just style myself in a more decidely feminine fashion. I will say that I wear pants a lot less often now, and when I do, they're more high waisted skinny jeans than bootcut (even though I'm big, I look odd in bootcut or wide leg, I look swallowed up). For the most part, it's just become a matter of choosing colors that fit with my season. I still wear my sweaters, my cardigans, my occasional graphic tee, but it's usually pa…

In regards to my monthly goals, I've totally dropped the ball on my goal of daily walking. I have been keeping up with my yoga, but the walking has sufferered. My journaling and meditation have been going pretty well, though. My SO has commented that I seem lighter lately, and I attribute that to my mental health improvements. Yesterday, my SO and I got into a fight about trying to make holiday plans with our families while fitting it into the busy schedule of the next month and a half. It's eas…

I did wind up going to therapy for my overall mental health. I found it incredibly helpful and I recommend therapy or counseling for anyone who can access it, which is much easier now with programs like TalkSpace and BetterHelp. I also did a lot of journaling for introspection on various topics- my self esteem issues, my goals, all sorts of stuff. Taking the time to flesh those things out was important for me. It was a big step to really dig into why I felt certain way, had certain habits, or va…

You sound like me a few years ago. I was hopelessly in love with someone I had found myself in a "situationship" with. After he moved away for grad school, I realized I needed to get my life together. I also am someone whose insecurities get the better of them and who historically has had weak or no boundaries. I found that by taking the time to work on self improvement - and not just the "get hot" kind, because that's a whole different thing, but the introspective, healing kind - I actually wou…

Thank you so much for this super detailed answer! I'll have to pop over to the foraging sub. And maybe take a trip to my local library to see if they have any of these books. Food, nature, and free things are like the three best things in life! :)

You've been dating a few weeks, another two months sounds reasonable to me. This is what I was thinking. It seems pretty early to be saying things like that, and I think OP is pretty reasonable for not knowing if she feels that way yet. Especially since she mentions having strong feelings and seeing potential for a LTR, I think it's fair to just tell him that she cares for him, but she's just not quite on that level yet. (I love your advice about how to soften that blow- very helpful)
/r/RedPillWomen12/11/19 08:32 PM

If it's not too much to ask, I'm really interested in how you got into gathering things like that (foraging? Not too sure). I would love to start looking for herbs and plants (and mushrooms, tbh), but I have no clue where to start with that whole process.

Before I even met my SO, I found this sub. After mocking it and secretly enjoying it, I decided to start taking it more seriously, just to try. Nun mode was amazingly helpful for me. While I'm all for diversity in Hollywood and stories being told by and for all kinds of people, I think this article touched on a huge problem in the industry- just using women as some tool to sell more tickets and make more money. I completely agree with the author about Black Panther and Wonder Woman- those were amazing movies because the story was compelling, the characters were good, etc. Not because they just threw a poorly written and underdeveloped character in for the sake of pandering. …

I'm thankful for my SO, who is so wonderful and kind and strong. He is an amazing man. I'm thankful for my sister, who I can talk to about anything. She keeps me grounded, yet reminds me of when I need to think bigger. I'm thankful for the opportunity to continue working toward my new degree path. I'm increasingly thankful for this sub. I'm thankful for my old friends, who I can just click with like the years haven't passed and we're back in high school.

Cooking and baking- I love to try new recipes and techniques, just to see what we like and what we don't. I think trying new things is important. Music, various instruments. Also, I am a music history nerd, so I spend a lot of time reading and watching documentaries about this topic. Gardening. My plants are my life, and I love them so much. This is a topic I'm very passionate about! While my parents raised my sisters and I in an outwardly feminist I way (in the normal well adjusted way that reminds people that feminism is about the right to choose how you live your life), there were plenty of more traditional ideas that popped up. One of the biggest influences for me was my father taking each of us on our own Daddy/Daughter date, for lack of a better term. He'd take us out for a one-on-one outing, maybe ice cream or lunch or whatev…

Yeah, I definitely agree with that, but I didn't want to get into to all of that. Once you get to the point that it reads more like blind fanaticism and kind of culty, it's too much for me.

I think this is something you need to think deeply about, whether you're okay with this or not. Typically, this is a red flag for me as an individual. Not that we might not have the same views (my current SO and I have some differing opinions), but feeling like you can't discuss those views without being bulldozed or made to feel childish, especially things that directly affect your life and your culture. I would be concerned that this attitude would eventually drift into other areas of my life …

It's a little frustrating! I kind of figured with all of the crappy relationship advice out there, there'd be some good audio content! Guess not, lol.

We share a home office and put it to use quite often these days (I work from home part time and do my school work online in there, and he uses it in the evenings for his projects). The room is definitely more decorated with the silly odds and ends we both love, so it's not terribly stylish. However, I'm a believer in decorating your home with things you love, not necessarily for the aesthetic. Anyway, there's a plant of his that I repotted into a nice pot on a shelf in front of a window, and the…

This is generally true. I lucked out by finding my SO on OkCupid, but that was after a long time of sifting through loads of people just looking to hook up. I didn't mind the wait because my goal at the time was just get back into the dating game on a casual level (though I'm so happy to have found him, even if it was a total surprise). However, if you don't want to waste your time, I'd use one of the paid services.

Scoop & swoop is definitely a game changer! Getting all of your breast tissue into place is important to see what a proper fit is, and it definitely also helps your back to have the girls all properly supported (bonus, it makes things look smoother too).

Where do you find bralettes as a DDD? I'm around that size (though honestly, I need to refit myself, think I may have gone up a cup) and can never find any.

Obligatory plug for r/abrathatfits Your bras shouldn't be hurting you! And a lot of stores don't do fittings properly, so I really suggest browsing through that sub to learn more about giving yourself a proper fitting and going from there. That's totally reasonable! We've been together for over a year now and are planning to get married. Moving in together made the most sense for our goals and circumstances. He could absolutely afford to take care of us more than comfortably, but we both would prefer to live modestly in the present to save for our futures (house, kids, etc). My personal stance is that I don't intend to live with anyone unless there is a real intent to get married and he agreed. He knew what we were getting into, a…

I'm working on getting in better health for a multitude of reasons, so it's a slow journey, but one that's already underway. I imagine that thrifting will become even more important as I start dropping sizes. Thankfully, we've come into possession of our furniture for cheap because we knew people who were selling or giving away. We don't really eat out, maybe once a month, if we're feeling like trying something, but it's rare. The hair products I use are affordable, but definitely necessary beca…

I'm absolutely going to take this quiz, thank you! Thankfully, our taste in food has a fair amount of overlap, so that's made easier. I'd love to start meal prepping, but he likes having the option to see what we're in the mood for. I'd love to find a middle ground, but I don't know where to start.

Thank you!! Buying our meats in bulk has been so helpful. We don't eat red meat, so buying chicken and turkey and fish in bulk is an expense up front, but much cheaper over the course of the month. We're definitely decorating with what we already had, so that's handled! It's just hard because our color palettes definitely do not match, lol. This is just what I needed today. I've been struggling a lot lately with the concept of submission, because the word really weirds me out- I've spent a long time trying to stop being a doormat to everyone (because I'm a very naturally submissive type and I very easily slide into doormat territory) and the word submission makes me feel like that's what I'm doing. But the idea of deference helps me find strength and fullness in my nature and suits my personality in a much healthier way. I just rea…

The sufficient looks line made me laugh for some strange reason, so thank you for my morning giggles. The real reason I commented was that I agree 100% about integrity. That's amazing! Honestly, I love so many of the older ladies I've met in church. They've always got such great advice, and they're full of kindness. Honestly, such great role models. I've found that femininity is more than just the external. Sure, I've put/been putting work into that (more on that in a moment), but it's also an attitude and presence one has. There is an internal aspect to femininity. External Femininity • Dressing in a fashion that suits my body and style- This doesn't mean all pink and frills (nothing wrong with that, ladies!), but more just knowing your style and keeping it polished. It's been warm here, so I've been wearing a lot of sundresses and skirts …

I don't know how old you are, but I would try to focus on living a healthy life that make you happy. It sounds like you need to have a conversation with her about how her words and attitude are making you feel. If she can't recognize that she's hurting you, then we've got a bigger problem.

That's beautiful! Simple, but very classic. Love it! I'm thinking we might have to take a trip to the store, just to get an idea of styles and such. I own a lot of rings, but this one is obviously different- I want it to be just right!

Yay Amazon! (I've been snooping around over there to try to cut costs for us) Absolutely! We've had the conversation about trading up, and while I would only do that if something happened to the ring (stolen, broken, etc), we realized I would be more upset about it than he would.

Right now, I'm just happy to know that he wants to take this step (especially since he's historically skeptical of marriage). Having a plain band to save your ring from wear and tear is such a smart idea, and probably something I would do in the future.

That sounds gorgeous! I've seen some really pretty moissanite rings, but nothing is really sticking out as something I want, if that makes sense. Saving for the honeymoon and bath remodel is so smart. I'd like to start sewing and crafting my own clothing, but I have no idea where to start. I'm very interested in making circle skirts (bonus points for minimal sewing or easy instructions) and maybe easy dresses, if such a thing exists. Just an idea of what to start with would be helpful for building knowledge and confidence. Also, a menial gripe: I have no idea what my go to nail color should be, and it's killing me. First of all, I think it's so sweet that you want to do these little things to make life easier for him! I totally get not wanting to mother him, but everyone appreciates a little TLC when life gets crazy. My SO is an incredibly picky eater. When I was first in university (long story!), I joined a sorority. Making those connections with the women you meet (not only your sisters, but even the ladies you meet at recruitment) is such a great experience. None of my sisters pushed us to party, there was no hazing, and it gave a great sense of community and belonging.
