I found the book to wishy-washy. Not enough substance. I agree with what you wrote, though. Good post.

Yes this is true - it is a skill to turn acquaintances into friends. For me personally, I would suggest trying to bond with those around you. After a while you could suggest that you're going to an event that others might be interested in going to and see who might want to come along. Certainly, it is tricky. Especially post 30.

Yes. This is why I made the suggestion to also take up new hobbies as well. The reason I stated to participate in things you are good at is because it if you are good at something and that's recognisable you will earn respect within the group by default. That makes other social interactions easier.

Dude you're missing the forest for the trees. I wasn't saying specifically that was what you should do.. I was just handing out examples of what one could do.

This has been discussed on here a few times before. First up - The way that men and women socialise amongst themselves are different. Men for example, are more likely to get competitive in social scenarios (sports, cars, women) etc. Men are more likely to bond around hobbies. So think of some stuff you're good at, and go place yourself in a situation where you can demonstrate your ability. Eg. If you're good at a particular sport, find a club to play in. If you're a good handy man, maybe do a ca…

Call her out on not being direct about what she wanted. Ie. She told you she wanted to break up because REALLY she wanted you to be more serious. That's an immature way to communicate.

Hey mate. The author refers to 4 ingredients for a great life: 1 pursuing passion - not playing video games or watching Netflix but actually DOING something. Writing a book, painting, making a robot. Dunno - but you have to DO it as opposed to consume it. 2 guy friends - hanging out with them 3 physical shape - lift weights. Look after yourself. I can't remember the 4th actually. I'm might be to challenge yourself. Do the above 3 and your life will improve as a result.

The job "pays the bills" .. Where do you currently fit in relation to average income? Hey buddy. Good on you for taking the initiative. This restaurant is far from the party district of Ibiza, but sounds like you're not just going there for that. Therefore, check it out if you get the chance: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g1028034-d1545869-Reviews-Cami_de_Balafia-Sant_Joan_de_Labritja_Ibiza_Balearic_Islands.html Delicious grilled meat, and the salad is really good, too.

you're completely right in that she's being paid to be nice. But that's why I want to ask her out - so I can distinguish between if she's being polite or if there's something genuine there. Regardless of the outcome I can move forward. I like your suggestion, too. I think I'll mention what I did this weekend and if she sounds interested I might suggest that I am doing something similar this week and that she should join us. Great tip!

Do starting strength program. Hang out with male friends. if you don't have many, engage in social hobbies that you personally genuinely enjoy. Eg. Play/watch sports that you like. Join a band. Play poker. Join a book club or a writers club. Or a cycling club. Or a whisky club. Join a fucking club. Focus on your work/studies. Plan a trip somewhere. Hey Dude.. I think this is an unusually tough one for the red pill because you personally are at a crossroads in your life. You say that you don't want to go back to the way things were before, and that you've changed your perspective over the past year or so. She apparently hasn't changed, and to me (I could be wrong about this), she's suggesting she wants you to propose to her. ie. you commit to me (relationship) and I'll commit to you (sex). Given that you've said you have changed a bit over …

People in general don't like change. If people are used to you behaving one way, and then you suddenly start acting another way… People in general won't like that. Have read some of your other comments and it seems like you're having trouble communicating in the correct manner anyways.

This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate & practice frame. Firstly - if you want to keep it open, you have no reason to discuss this with a woman. Proactively telling the girl 'I don't want an actual relationship, I just want to fuck' is going to create problems you don't need to have. If you are seeing a girl, when she wants to lock you in, she will ask about your relationship status. At this point, you are the man. You need to decide if you want to go exclusive or not. If you do NOT wan…

"Send me a picture of yourself without clothes" - seriously, try it. Do not ask, though. Tell. alternatively - TELL her to send you a 'sexy' pic ... she might give it a go ... validate her, then tell her to take a similar pic with whatever adjustment you'd like to see - tie your hair back, wear white panties, topless - whatever strikes your fancy.

I think there's more to it then just this. The feminine is not self-validating. They rely on men and exterior forces to validate them (one reason why women are more materialistic - I have this shiny new purse which validiates me as a more important person) Men, on the other hand. We are able to validate ourselves through what we do. Because we are self-validating by nature, we don't necessarily go swinging from relationship to relationship. (though if we can get a quick plate, sure). Women need …

Hey there. I'm a guy and never really read RPW before, but I felt like I had to contribute. This guy is showing a lot of signs of being a player, as you have well pointed out. Some other posters have suggested sitting him down for a talk. I have a few issues with this. He is the man. He should be the one 'leading' the relationship, communicating with you openly and telling you where he is at and what he wants. You don't wake up one morning, lift a couple and then wake up the next day with a transformed body. It is the result of small steps taken on a daily basis that will lead you to a different place then where you are today. Swallowing RP is about accepting the reality. Good luck.

Much of a woman's value is based on how she looks. Women compliment other women because they know it's the validation that they seek and need. Men are not as attractive as women aesthetically, and do not receive as much validation based on how they look.

Fair call. For me personally, in the last I've been so happy to date good-looking women that I've up with bad qualities because I felt a sense of validation in being with them. I felt it worthwhile to remind ourselves that we are the prize. You did state that my values were shallow and demeaning. Can you please expand on this?

To me he article you posted is a strategy with the intent of increasing attraction. I am suggesting not trying to increase attraction. Instead, just know what you're looking for and don't put up with behavior you don't like. I think a lt of guys don't have a plan around what they're looking for / don't like.

Mate, this is like being an NBA player. Getting injured (5 year relationship=out of the game) and then being pissed that you didn't score 20 points in your first game back. Make mistakes? Yes! Recognize and adjust? Yes! Reason to be annoyed? No. Just accept and move on. Nice.

I guess this is why women have been pushing for their independence from men. When you see stories of beautiful women being unable to keep a guy in check... Then it makes sense they don't want to have to rely on men for success.

Super heroes are often male role models painted in a positive light. Wolverine, Ironman, Batman, Superman. Not exactly 'on TV' but I am sure these days there are plenty of positive male role models in video games. Uncharted, for example. I'm not sure what your kids would be allowed to play due to maturity content etc. But hope this helps.

I don't feel comfortable having a mindset of 'it's okay for me to sleep around as much as I like. But how dare my partner want to' ... It just doesn't sound/feel right. For what it's worth, I think that your Religious beliefs are probably a good foundation for a lot of the stuff that people on this forum believe. Assuming your friend who introduced you to this forum is not religious, may be why she doesn't 'get it' as much. Anyway, hope you stick around.

I think most people on here blame the system because its become skewed in women's favour. I don't think any man has the right to tell a woman what the best strategy is for her. Just as I wouldn't want a woman to tell me what is the best strategy for me, a man. Do what you want.

I'll give you some perspective from my own personal experiences. In the past I've tried different bodybuilding/weightlifting programs as read in Mens Magazines. I always lifted to look good. I hated it and was never more motivated to lift for more than 3 months in a row (ie. before seeing any tangible results) Starting Strength is not about building your body to look good. It's about getting strong for the purpose of being a more healthy person. Why be weak when you can be strong? So you do a fe…

Hi mate. Sounds as though you're a long way from where you'd like to be. That's the bad news. The good news is, you're VERY young, and have a long time to sort yourself out and you will be happy. If you read the SMV charts. Guys don't peak until they get to their 30s. So for you, the best thing is to put yourself in position so that by the time you are that age, you'll be ready to go. Give yourself goals of where you'd like to be when you're 25, and start working toward them. Read starting stren…

Well to be fair, your post opens by asking the question what's wrong with women liking sex. Which is a completely different subject to 'what's the best sexual strategy from a female perspective' .. And even then, are we talking best sexual strategy, or best relationship/security strategy? I think the best sexual strategy from a female perspective is to get the best sperm available, and have a child, if you can get that person to stick around, great... If not hopefully you have a provider partner…

Men and women are programmed to enjoy sex as it increases our chances of procreation. It is the way both fenders are wired. That is why women enjoy sex. Women go after the high value men the same way men go after high value women. (Different criteria sets, but same agenda) Are you trying to say women don't like sex???

Some people in the manosphere seem to be under the impression that there will be a movement and that this will become the norm. Unfortunately, there will always be blue pillers willing to provide. Men will always do a lot for access to women. It's not as though men are going to collectively MGTOW. So, I don't see women really having to deal with loneliness as suggested in this letter.

Two things - First, Jamie had his hands tied together, and he hasn't been treated very well for the past year. So he's not exactly in tip top physical form. Secondly, it's made very clear that Brienne is a freak of a woman. This is a fantasy show that has giants, I have not read the books and do not know much of her, but is there a possibility she's half-giant or something like that? In general this is a male dominated show. The women are not equal to the men.

Hey man. Given your experience with girls, I'm gonna assume you're young. If that's true, you've probably been indoctrinated in a culture of "go to school, get good grades, get a good job, get a girl, have kids. Die". That's the way life is, right? Wrong. Again, assuming you're younger than 30, if I were you, I'd plan an overseas adventure alone. Maybe go for a few weeks somewhere first. Just so up can taste travelling solo. Then, plan a loooong trip. Not related, but I saw Disney's Brave this evening. The protaganist is a teenage princess and the movie largely revolves around her relationship with her mother. I watched the film because I was interested in the time period it was set in. Anyway, it pissed me off because the men in the film are portrayed as weak and dumb. Well, I would think projecting feminine values onto women wouldn't work. So what are we to do? I would think someone with a strong work ethic is ambitious. And ambition is an attractive quality to women. Someone who goes to the gym every other day is going to be more attractive than someone who doesn't. Someone who comes home from the gym, sweaty and exhausted an complaining how much there muscles ache from there workout... Not so attractive.

I would argue that part of the film demonstrates good game. Not necessarily a red pill mentality. From memory, Hitch begins the film being red pill. But is converted to Blue Pill by his buddy who he hooked up with the celebrity.

You know that bit where Hitch invites the bird over for a nice dinner? And she dumps the broccoli all over his head or something? A red pill guy would have left her at that point. Thanks. This was probably my most preferred response. The general consensus seems to be because women say one thing but do another. Biggest example would be saying a guy is a jerk, but sleeping with him. and saying a guy is a great catch, but wanting nothing to do with him. In neither of these cases do I understand how this relates to being a hamster? I know this is probably a dumb question.. But hey..

Thanks for the feedback. So, if you're living with a girl, and she's unhappy beacuse.. . Let's say you said you'd do the dishes and you didn't. Is that a shit-test??? Or is that legit gripe she has? Why is it caled a Hamster? Sorry if this sounds like a stoopid question...

Hey mate. I was more asking in context of a relationship, which is different to 'the field'. As in, how can you differentiate between a legitimate gripe a woman has, and when she's just testing you. Dude go to a book store and walk around and read the books. I'm reading a book now about the psychology of habits (can't think of the name).. I read Bill Bryson's book 'Down Under' which is about his travels in Australia and I thought it was fucking hilarious. Game of Thrones? High Society by Ben Elton - a top novel all about the war on drugs. Makes you re-think the entire situation. Depends largely if you want fiction or non-fiction..
