I found a great just-below-chin-length wig. With any luck this will be the solution! edit: So long as I succeed in stuffing several feet of hair under it!

ok, genuine quandary here: Thick long hair to mid back. Husband keeps asking me to get a "bob" (lol, the haircut named after a man). I'm not comfortable with it, I don't think it will look good, don't care how much work my long hair is. But I adore him and wan't to fulfill his wishes. 14 year relationship...do I do it out of respect for him?

Are you Male? If you feel being submissive and having high self-respect as a male is difficult, it's becasue it is. A woman can very easily respect herself and be submissive becasue it's more natural for her gender and there is no conflict there. But I wouldn't expect you to feel good and comfortable being submissive. Have you been banned by RedPillWomen yet? They might have some insights for you if you crosspost this there and are respectful. Just a note though, are you using the term "submissi…

Thanks for the recommendation! I was shocked at how clued out I was about fertility and cycles for most of my life. It's something I really wish I'd had access to right from puberty. It was really a case of not knowing what I didn't know. The advice at this age should be so much more than "This is a pad. This is a tampon."

You hit the nail on the head. There's a big difference between "horse girls" and "horse ladies." If the horse (or any animal) thing sticks beyond 18, then yes, you are more often than not dealing with some issues. Horses during the tween years build responsibility, dedication, fitness, and generally keep girls from being boy-obsessed, shallow, and slutty. Then the focus can shift to relationships at a more appropriate age.

Sorry! Super busy day. The full book has a LOT of info in it but you can pinpoint one specific issue you might be having and read the sections that pertain to it. I went through the whole thing just as a preventative/know what to look out for when the time comes exercise. I had some low cortisol issues I have managed to resolve.

True true, I just shudder at the things I tried to do as a drunk teenager. I've never looked back and and gone "Oh thank god I was drunk that one time!" I just got so incredibly lucky. it was luck (and some very decent boys), not sense, that saved me in the end. Also, drunk people are just so horrendous. Loud, brash, ugh. It's like an amplifier for all the most tiresome female traits.

"There is the difference in the attitude of man and woman toward the culmination of love. Woman, although she is just as anxious for love as man, must never betray her anxiety. She must always be passive. Man, it is, who must be the active partner. It is he who makes love to woman. He chases the woman who was made to be chased. The success of love depends entirely on the understanding of this basic relationship."

I always thought it was so attractive when a woman excels in a particular area and maintains her identity as a woman. It represents a refusal to compromise. This is partially the reason why I find it so surprising that people find submissive and feminine qualities as a sign of lack of strength, such people always strike me as being all the stronger. Yes yes yes! Well said. When I was younger I found other females disappointing to such an extent that I strongly strongly resented being female. Pub…

device: human application: alpha or beta This analogy is excellent and elegant. A woman who acts submissive gets treated better. A man who acts submissive gets treated worse. It's really this simple, and stated this way pretty damn inoffensive to anyone with a shred of sense.

Here are some things I've learned over the years: First, stop calling yourself a breadwinner, terms like that don't help Don't refer to the house/car/stuff as "my house", it's "ours" I was raised in a home where my mother worked outside the home while my father raised me. She was utterly gracious and it was a non-issue. There was no power-play, no struggle and so much mutual appreciation. Both at home and in her work she played the supporting role perfectly becasue she wasn't vying for recogniti…

But I just the same way over a decade ago when we were newer too, so I'm not sure my "investment" in our relationship/him made me more vulnerable at all. People seem to think that feminine power = feminism. But I don't agree at all. Feminine power is feminine power, and masculine power is masculine power. Apples/Oranges. I think paganism actually observes the distinct difference in the genders, which is great.

His preferences <--- That's the key, so pay close attention! Don't assume you know what he likes becasue that's what is "on trend". Becasue there's some horrendous stuff created in the name of fashion. Embrace and cater to his unique tastes. It might not be Victoria Secret.

My parents did me a huge favour by not having a tv in the house and compensating with a huge library. As a result I developed an imagination. We've never had one in our house either. But we do have internet and there's a ton of mindless drivel out there. My main concern throughout the teen years was overexposure/reputation on social media.

RPW isn't about being a good wife because that's what Jesus (or whoever) wants you to do. I really identify with this. I am RPW becasue my husband, and only him, inspires me. Jesus would be a conflict of interest ;)

This is fascinating. I'm not Wiccan but I'd be interested in the RPW relationship. I've see a lot of paganism trotted out in support of feminist propaganda.

Thanks! I'm definitely inclined to take things slowly and provide the stable counterpoint to her mother's lifestyle. Both you and u/boydeer have provided a great reminder that it's all about what you do vs. what you say. Talk is cheap, right? Talk, incidentally, is also what feminists do a LOT of!

My hubby and I just spent the whole winter holiday revelling in Downton. I came to the series late and I've just finished series 4 (but haven't watched the christmas special yet, so shh!). As the problem started prior to dressing that way—back when I put effort into looking polished, groomed, and elegantly dressed—your point is moot. No one ever treated me like a crack/drug addict. The "crack jacket" reference was a cute joke between my H and I. With all due respect, when you don't take the time to read carefully you waste everyone's time and bring nothing to the discussion. No apology needed. It's such an important thing. Actually, I said submissive. I said "submissive atheist". Having read this sub(reddit) I observed that you use submissive in a different way than the general populous, in a way devoid of negative connotation. We are talking about Candace Cameron-Bure's use of the word, and this other current front page post "A Few Responses to Some Common Criticisms of Wifely Submission". So smart. And this would be enough on it's own. He inspires my respect. I've never felt like that about anyone before. So practical. He understands how everything works and can fix all the things. We never have to call an electrician/plumber/mechanic Handsomest person in the history of the world. And this man knows how to dress. We are a secret club of 2 members and it's just the best thing ever.

I just have to remind him sometimes that I trust his opinion. Example: if he's really trying to "sell" an idea to me and seems invested in it I'll tell him that he doesn't have to try to convince me and that I'm confident that he will choose wisely. This is familiar!

I think we do hang around shitty people. We have distanced ourselves from two groups in the last few years—I mentioned this in another comment but these were people who would get really negative whenever we bought anything nice. We got a lovely classic car and when we excitedly told people about it, this particular couple actually got angry. It was our money! What the heck. Thanks for your reply. This thread has helped me examine underlying issues. I think that there is a lot of jelousy directed towards my Husband and I because if the relationship we have—which is very atypical in our area/social group. I am not beautiful or stunning or a 10. I am just not fat! I feel the attention from men is unwarranted and I posted here because I am trying to solve something that is causing stress for us. I have gathered that it is down to my politeness, the way I listen when people talk, etc. which is great because that is something I can work on. My husband told me about the "no platonic relationships" thing back when I was young and dumb. "You may feel platonic towards them but men don't have anything to do with women they don't want to sleep with". It was interesting because I was an awkward tall kid/teen who received no male attention in high school. So I did not have experience with attention and it took me a few years to clue into when it was happening. Now I know what men are about. I know that they are awesome and fantastic until …

You know what? Just connecting with you feels nice. It's interesting how I started this thread with a focus on one thing and it has helped me crystallize the real underlying issue—perception. People jump to all sorts of conclusions. I've a lot of empathy for Candace Cameron Bure right now. I'm not sure what in my comment lead you to think that I care what people think (I have banished anyone who doesn't approve of my relationship from my life. even my family). I think it just shows how poorly men are treated that they "fall in love" with the first person who knows how to listen and respect. I see a lot of talk on RPW focussing on improving/perfecting appearance. But I could have been married 10 times over on personality alone. I am atypical, for a female.
