The best thing you can do is teach her basics like: respect your elders, think critically, respect yourself, value what you have to offer people on professional and personal levels. She needs to have a good head on her shoulders and solid values. I only recently learned about TRP and RPW, but I grew up learning certain things that served me well growing up.

Teach her to be a decent human being and guide her as best you can. The rest will happen naturally. :0)

I wish I had some resources on this subject too. I have 2 daughters, 17 & 18 and I spend most of my time trying to undo the internet and tv/movies's subliminal and propaganda crap. Other than flat out introducing her to RPW I can only advise you to teach by example and to point out RPW theories whenever a situation crops up that you can.

I probably don't have to remind you of this but do not trash her mom or her views.

I will have to think about this some more and get back to you if I think of anything else.

I can't advise with parental issues, since I'm only 19 myself. It's often easiest to get a man of influence to show them the ropes. That's what worked with me when my boyfriend introduced me to TRP. If she's very close with her father, requesting his aid won't hurt. If she's not, however, you may be in for a bit of a hard time.

First of all, is she naturally inclined to TRP or does she fight it tooth and nail like her mother? The younger generations are more malleable than the older ones, so it wouldn't be as hard to change her views, though young ones tend to not want to take advice from their elders, especially older teenagers. You could always simply discuss it with her, lead by example, or slip it in wherever you can.

The internet is your haven, since my generation is very fond of electronics. Anything you can use that references to it will help her understand tremendously.

And remember, work her into it slowly. I cannot stress this enough. My girls are all my age, and I've been working with them one at a time. Those who are more naturally inclined to RP behaviors came into the idea much more smoothly. One was very distressed at the beginning, but over a few days, she kept mulling over our conversation and confessed to me she really believed in it. We had a very beautiful conversation after that.

Working with other people her age wouldn't be too bad of an idea, either. I know I have more influence with my girls than their parents would have.

Can't give you any tips on the raising, but I can tell you what shook all tenancies towards feminism out of me.

Firstly, is she at all religiously inclined? If so, I'd try gently suggesting that she might want to read whichever book/texts said religion is based on. They tend to be more traditionally focused, especially in the relationship area, as well as being devoid of pretty much any feminist thinking because they were written quite a few years ago.

Music. Television. The media. My generation's obsessed with it. Maybe try nudging using that. For example, television-wise, Downton Abbey (I'm a sucker for period dramas, what can I say?). You've three sisters- The oldest is known as the ice queen, ends up in bed with a Turk after about a day, and spends the next two series (or it might be one, sorry! I can't quite remember!) worrying about what she's going to do now because she's seen as spoiled and so on. The second ends up giving up her baby to a family in Switzerland after getting pregnant out of wedlock. No idea about anyone else, but these storylines were slaps to the face about taking responsibility for yourself and about thinking what current, heat of the moment decisions might lead to. The third sister falls for the chauffeur and actually stands by him. She gives up all the wealth she was born into and goes with him to Dublin to make a life for the two of them (nursing in the Great War came in useful there, admittedly). Admittedly, that probably wasn't a good idea at the time (hello, Irish War of Independence anyone?) but the premise was standing by her man through good times and bad. They were crazy about each other. Sound familiar?

Books. Books are amazing. Especially classics. To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, heck, Diana Galbon's first few. 'Cross stitch' (I think it's called Outlander in the US?) is essentially about a woman from the 1940's placing her life in the hands of a man from the 1740's and finding that he could be her rock and she was a lot more attracted to him than she was her wet towel of a husband back in the 40's (long story). Admittedly, it's rather sexual in places, but it's not exactly hard-core stuff. Plus, y'know, lovely Scottish accents. This is going to seem out of place here, but 'The Stepford Wives'. I've never read a book so anti-feminist in my life. It's basic message is 'give up looking after yourselves, your husband, your children and your home to do pursuits that ultimately help not at all will make your marriage end up on a knife blade. You seem to almost want your man to find someone else if you do so.'

Is she inclined to debate? Maybe debate. Make enough good points and it's hard to stop them floating around in your head. Don't let it descend into a fight, but intellectual discussion is your friend here.

Has she ever baked for fun before? I always used to resist until I spent the day baking cakes for a fundraiser thing and by Christ's bicycle it was the most fun I'd had in years. Cake at the end was fab too. Just, y'know, pride in small things like that.

This is going to go without saying, obviously, but be a good example. Be open to questions and ideas.

Website wise... no idea.There's a few I'm fond of, but without knowing more about her, I can't say for definite.

Otherwise... Don't lecture. Teenagers man, we tend to push back unless we've had boundaries set. I'm lucky in the respect that my dad was what would be known as a 'bull alpha' when we was younger (heck, he's still extremely proud of bedding three separate girls within twelve hours) so he had it drilled into and my brother and I's head how to do/avoid that sort of thing respectively. Without that... Urgh, wouldn't want to think.

Are there any people you know her age that are pretty RP? Having a friend might help.

there is good advice in here. i remember hearing a bunch of stuff as a kid, and i gave more weight to the opinions of people who seemed to be living effective lives. if someone wasn't emotionally invested in me agreeing with them and argued fairly (for example "that doesn't make sense to me because.." rather than "that's bullshit because..."), i was more likely to consider their opinion later.

and most importantly, if i was presented with two models for something, i use the one that is the most effective. unfortunately, feminism is effective for social engineering, but otherwise it seems to result in a very restrictive self-conception.

provide a healthy stable example for her, and she will be able to draw on it in the future.

Lead by example. If you show her an example of a happy, healthy relationship, that will be the most powerful thing you can do. As a step-mother, your direct influence may be limited depending on your relationship with her and any time you spend telling her 'how it is' will be wasted and may go against your intentions. Show her how it is and the lesson will stick.

The best thing for children is to completely disconnect cable television. The women who weren't raised on television are completely different than those were were:

Intelligent
Book worm
Free thinking
Independent
More traditional
Better attention span

Television can turn a white ass into white trash faster than any other form of feminist indoctrination. At 19, it may be too late. Just be supportive and never be too judgmental of her mom, avoid backhanded remarks.

i'm 22 and i met the person who holds my heart at 17, i was lucky that i had a great family etc who taught me to respect myself and know myself,treat people with respect, to work hard for the things i/we need and not rest on my ass and make myself the best person i can be.
