we've all met people who are healthy and in good shape and didn't have to try, because they were brought up with good habits. maybe they just enjoy running around, and neither of their parents overate or abused them. i think if you have two psychologically healthy people who care about each other and share goals, you can have success. i think this could happen easily in the past because there were social conventions that encouraged couples to work on the marriage. there were also ad hoc systems …

if you're with someone, "i don't know, let's see what this lady in the hat thinks. hey lady in the hat, my friend wants to know..." if you're alone, comment on something around you. if a sign puts quotes as emphasis resulting in some funny context, say that. if some guy walks by listening to music and dancing, comment on how much fun he's having and wouldn't it be nice to be able to be that obliviously happy. or if you're sitting there and some douche keeps banging his chopsticks together, and y…

sure, but: Half said that if they became pregnant by another man but wanted to stay with their partner, they would lie about the baby’s real father. And an alarming 31 per cent said they would not tell a future partner if they had a sexual disease: this rises to 65 per cent among single women. 54 per cent admitted stealing sweets or chocolates; 23 per cent would "sneak a bottle or two" home if they were invited to a party by a well-off friend; 49 per cent would "kiss and tell" to the media for 2…

yes. gurdjieff talks about organic shame and inorganic shame, the latter being instilled by society and only felt when we are found out. organic shame is shame felt when one knows through universal laws that he acted shamefully. he posits that most people are almost incapable of experiencing organic shame. i went through a phase like this, and it was just me being fucking ashamed of myself. i still experience it occasionally, but it's getting weaker, less frequent, and it passes more quickly. ju…

you sound like an awesome guy with a pretty good handle on things. you might want to check out positive masculinity books like Models by Mark Manson, and the way of the superior man by whatever that guys name is. I feel like the rational male by Rollo Tomassi might not be up your alley since it's a little more paranoid and hostile to women in general, but if you can sift through it he does at least dissect some really taboo subjects that I found useful.

So why the seeming hypocrisy, Red Pill? how many single mothers are there? how many single fathers? women are more likely to end up single mothers "by chance" and have the mindset that they are victims. single fathers more often have to fight the legal system to get their children. it's fairly rare to hear about a sane and stable mother losing her children to a drug-addled abusive father, but seems common enough to hear about such a woman getting at least joint custody. my ex has been arrested 1…

When have you ever seen a man being slut shamed? plenty of women have treated me poorly for the number of partners and the fact that i have had sex with men. so on an ongoing basis my entire life by women of all ages and backgrounds. i have seen that whenever a man's value is not perceived as high by women, his number of sex partners is a tool of shame, whether it is a high number or a low number. Do you think that if a girl is friends with a guy, he deserves sex from her? i'm fairly certain that pretty much everyone here would agree that if you really want to have sex with a woman, being her friend as a strategy is a weak move and doesn't merit anything.

I meant the exceptions for men being attracted to dominant women. i think you can be pretty sure that most of these things follow a normal distribution, with about 2/3 being within what most people would consider "average". i doubt red pillers would argue with this. what is "normal" might change, sure. i have opinions about things. you have opinions about things. if i had to bet, i would bet on my opinions being right. Don't you think that you "red pillers" underestimate the number of exceptions? there are zero exceptions to the law that all healthy humans experience hunger. Seems like more men are marrying "dominant" women nowadays (like Jay-Z) and it seems like eventually, it'll become the norm. obviously, there is no way to accurately assess "power" or "dominance" in a relationship none of us know anything about, but jay-z's net worth is higher than beyonce's, and he built his empire on his own merits. he i…

i'm talking about the political dialog. you ignored everything i wrote. the benefit for making up global warming is that you get public support to charge people fines, you can get government subsidies to do certain work. any hysteria could make you money. i am talking about the underlying biological drives we have. for example, everyone feels hunger; not everyone will steal food from their roommates if they're hungry at 4am. the former is a law which would could state as: "all healthy humans experience hunger" the latter is not a law. there are exceptions. Yes, women use their sexual power to their benefit but if they can, why shouldn't they? power itself is amoral. any ethical system you construct governing the use of power is going to eventuall…

BTW, by an exception, I was referring to me being attracted to "dominant" women (something I'm assuming you think men shouldn't be naturally attracted to). this is not what i'm talking about, so your exception is an exception to a claim i didn't make. a TRP observation is that most men want submissive women, but this isn't presented as a law. a primary tenet of TRP is that every man must be responsible for himself. any time i spent under the bus is time i chose to spend there. if your life is good as a male feminist, then good. if you're under the bus because you've been convinced that is where you belong, that's your prerogative.

What do you mean by enough women being "predatory in the realm of sexuality"? women use sex dishonestly to get what they want. And if the red pill states that men and women are attracted to certain things without exception, don't you see the problem with that? men have certain biological drives that are consistent across all healthy young men. women have certain biological drives that are consistent across all healthy young women. there are mitigating factors in social conditioning, and the expr…

feminism has pushed to increase the rights of women and decrease the rights of men. as political activists, they have tried to lighten the burden of proof on rape accusations. they have fought to keep false rape accusations unpunished. when a man is accused of rape, feminists pressure universities to kick him out, he ends up in the news, loses his scholarship, and then they find out it's false. nothing happens to the woman. i personally believe this is bad for honest men (because they can be the…

i think OP was likening him to male feminists in that he has disdain for powerful masculinity. if having a high SMV isn't important to you, it's not important. a subsection of red pill is MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way), who basically believe it's just not worth it. you could have a similar belief about money or family. high SMV gives you power to act, and therefore it's desirable.

the too far/not far enough thing is hard to talk about, because in what way do you mean? women who make the same choices as men get paid the same, by and large. feminism has started to focus on sources of female discomfort, and there has never been a guarantee of comfort for men. in fact, society has historically been much more apt to provide comfort for women, even when equality was not a thing. our concern with a lot of long-term relationships is that while women are taught to be suspicious of…

Elliot Rodger was a guy with a mental health condition. he wasn't similar to the red pill in that we advise "change yourself, don't wish the world would change" the red pill believes that there are positive aspects of masculininty and femininity. i don't think Rodger thought that at all.

scientists are the ones with valid opinions about global warming. the fact that liberal social "scientists" make so much of global warming is strange, to say the least. much of the dialog is politically motivated, and religion isn't specifically opposed to the idea of global warming, but it's certainly cast that way. someone cast it that way. whether you believe it's more likely that "religious" groups (political groups associating themselves with religion) have seen a benefit in opposition to g…

letting the tinder match sit can be really effective. after establishing that you're witty and not afraid to push boundaries a little, just push to get a number or meet up (just have plans and tell a girl where you're going) and if they don't get back to you, let them sit for a week, hit them up again if you're interested, and if they don't respond to your second advance after being on ice, unmatch them and move on. the fact that you have too many matches means you can try out aggressive approac…

TRP opposes the use of the word equality because it's vague. men and women are apples and oranges. not equal (as in identical), albeit equivalent (same value). if you're trying to make orange juice, an apple is worth nothing. if you are trying to make applesauce, an orange is worth nothing. many feminists argue for equal treatment for different behavior. they call ENFORCED EQUAL RESULTS equality, which is not equality at all. it is welfare for women. women should be treated equivalently by gover…

feminism is a political movement. the original goals of feminism have been achieved as much as is allowable by reality. the current people who have coopted the label and movement are not serving equality for women, they are working on expanding entitlement and special treatment for women.

eh. i know plenty of pretty privileged white girls who are angry about any man's opinion about any woman. these women believe they are entitled to anything and everything. i do agree there's more of a tendency for an ugly woman to have a chip on her shoulder about the stuff, but do not be so sure that just because a girl gets "enough" validation and attention that she won't flip out at the slightest hint that a man is exercising his own sexual autonomy.

Feminists just "feel" that there is a battle because obviously if they cut their hair short, gain 50 lbs, and obnoxiously scream about bashing the patriarchy it will intimidate men. try as they might to be a fearsome skirt wearing horde, braveheart did it better. :) i'm just happy it's socially acceptable for women to openly behave this way, because it makes it easier for me to avoid women who aren't worth my time.

when the institution was respected, it was a nonpersonal shared thing that each party could put before their own personal interest. this reverence for the institution makes it easier for two people who are fighting to come to some sort of reconciliation, because instead of putting the other person first which can be difficult in a fight, you simply act in accordance with your promise to respect the institution.

she still held the community at large responsible for her experience. not surprisingly, when you provide some random guy's behavior as evidence for the personal faults of thousands of people on the internet, most of whom are probably having a shitty day, those people shower you with attention and validation. OP skews it, but the autobiographical editorial is a polluted medium to begin with.

you should read the translation and commentary of the books of the bible by robert alter, then get back to me on that. you might also want to delve into kabbalistic literature as expounded by the order of the golden dawn. maybe read beelzebub's tales to his grandson, though it's not as directly relevant. otherwise, you're likely not well enough informed to make any statement of real validity concerning the bible.

This woman was a witch. Disrespectful, belittling and rude for no good reason. If the OP has been dating her SO for as long as the bride and groom have been together - then people are going to want to know why she's showing up alone. i think it depends on what the "incidents" OP hinted at were. i could imagine myself not being invited to some weddings, and it would be appropriate. weddings are stressful and significant social engagements. i agree. the factors driving a woman to sleep with lots of people, and the factors influencing the experience, are way different than the factors for men. there is therefore a difference between men and women in how high partner number is perceived. furthermore, women are more likely to lie about their partners and withhold sex from their long-term serious partner which they gave to other partners. males don't seem to follow this pattern. putting it shortly, it is a red flag that the woman in question wi…

I often come in the conversation with them at the wrong times do you mean you interrupt? if you realize you interrupted, apologize and say something like "whoa, i got excited. sorry, continue." or say something that upsets them. most people who aren't assholes will accept your apologies. if you say something that upsets someone, laugh and say, "sorry, that sounded better in my head." if someone can't let it sl…

apologizing doesn't absolve her of guilt. Or maybe that's just me, but typically I've never apologized for something and then been like "well it's all good now!" eh. women do. also, if you hide something from someone for a long time, it becomes less relevant. the first woman i fucked was my father's girlfriend, 13 years ago. they're not together. should i tell him? i sort of feel bad and would like to get it off my chest. both people need to be okay with the arrangement. the problem with an open relationship is that it's often chosen by a narcissist (male or female) without concern for the other person. hell, i've known of couples where the guy can't get it up due to an injury (after they got married), and the lady gets to have a boyfriend. seems pretty okay to me if the guy's okay with it and if the wife is not an abusive asshole.

there are good advices in here, but i also sometimes go with something like "hahaha, what the fuck do you mean i'm rude? you're rude! i'm not allowed to have opinions? ha! go fuck yourself. you're not my real mom. my real mom is dead." which is sort of a theatrical sarcastic agree and amplify, in a way.

i experience the same thing. i tend to be either reserved, stoic, and observant, or loud and boisterous. i am attractive, and i was molested a whole lot as a kid, so i have a hard time not perceiving sexuality woven into most interactions even when i'm aware that it's a projection. it seems like women perceive me as a sexual threat even when i'm trying to be friendly with them. what has worked of late is actually being playfully rude and aggressive to women. it gives them something congruent to …

Does she express anxiety about her clock and making a family? Answer that you are not ready. I find myself spending a lot of time with girls who don't really drink and focus on sports, cause they usually don't hinge their happiness on you as bad as most of the career track sluts do. i've found this with classically trained musicians, especially pianists, because they don't get validated unless they do hard work. you simply cannot successfully pursue classical music unless you take responsibility for yourself.

i address my use of the word "teach" below. i meant that if she has been a sulky asshole every time he made a mistake over the past decade, it's no wonder he doesn't know (or care?) how she likes to be treated. she's in a position to request future treatment she would prefer, and instead she punishes him? that sounds like a good strategy.
/r/RedPillWomen09/02/14 11:24 PM
1

It's not OP's place to teach her husband how to treat her, it's her job to earn the way she gets treated. "teach" might be the wrong verb. "communicate" would be better. rather than eye knives and sarcasm. that doesn't earn shit, and it subverts the constructive process. people were raised all sorts of different ways, and people don't always think of shit. some guy jumps out of a car and runs through the rain 15 years into the relationship, and he doesn't respect her? tough crowd.

ah. yeah. i mean, it seems like communication is key here. i'm a guy, and i feel like if i make a mistake, a girl has two options: tell me about it and ask me to try something different next time. engage in "emotional warfare" (it may be unfair to characterize your behavior as this, but this description speaks more to how i experience it as a male) the latter doesn't produce the desired results usually. i realize that you are trying to cope with your own emotional state, but if you can't pull yo…

I shrugged the incident off and claimed that I was only being funny. you justified yourself? i realized that if a girl throws a tantrum, i should respond as though i'm interacting with an adult who just threw a tantrum. the best answer is laughing like she's insane. if you must address it theoretically (talking shop), it's not "oh, i was just joking," it's "what is your problem? we're having fun. if you don't like how i'm interacting with you, address it like an adult." listen: she threw a tantr…

what is interesting to me is that those complaints are the same sorts of complaints hamsters would bring to their beta orbiters so they can be validated instead of resolving their relationship issues with the respect one could expect of a legitimate life partner. people ask me why a relationship didn't work out for me, and it's pretty much always that i need a partner that does their own work, can be trusted to at least consider my best interests (whether or not they choose their own), and can k…

i would recommend just calmly pointing out some glaring issues in feminism. my favorites (though these might be too big to start with): they claim those with privilege are blind to it. however, if you tell them about female privilege, they deny all privilege. so only men are blind to privilege. women see all. they believe men are morally capable of rape, but women aren't morally capable of lying about rape. most people can agree that rape is at least marginally worse than lying about it, so that…

if you are trying to fix people, you won't succeed. that doesn't mean you can't explain stuff or argue from your position and make headway. i tend to point out how logically incoherent something is. if you show people that there's a pair of feet behind the curtain, you've given them what they need to in due time infer the entire person.

i have been remarkably successful in illustrating points to people. i think the problem with a lot of newbies is they try to get people to accept an entirely new belief system (or BS, courtesy of robert anton wilson). you can illustrate rp truths in a given situation pretty easily if you are clear on the concepts and good at explanation. what you can't do is fix people. but that goes for everybody without regard to the BS.

i said he felt abused, and it appears he intended to abuse her. abuse is a weird thing because intent matters to a certain degree, as well as social norms and the personal experience of the people involved. to me, being responsible requires a person to assume responsibility for their experience, which he did not do. ergo, he was not responsible. in my opinion, in case that is not clear.

well i can see how a rock guitarist 30 or 40 years ago telling your daughter to take her clothes off only to tell her to get the fuck out might piss a father off, especially if he takes his princess's recounting of the story as absolute truth. EDIT: and it's not like he was being responsible. he felt abused by her years before, so he abused her? what a dick.

She expects me to pay when we go on dates. i only really see this as a red flag if the woman is dishonest about what the social convention is and what it represents. i dated a feminist who thought she was self-sufficient, and i paid for at least 2/3 of everything despite the fact that she made a little more money than me and wanted to go to more expensive places than me. that is a red flag. She doesn't have any close girlfriends. this bears exploring, but if she's as hot as you say she is, it so…

there is good advice in here. i remember hearing a bunch of stuff as a kid, and i gave more weight to the opinions of people who seemed to be living effective lives. if someone wasn't emotionally invested in me agreeing with them and argued fairly (for example "that doesn't make sense to me because.." rather than "that's bullshit because..."), i was more likely to consider their opinion later. and most importantly, if i was presented with two models for something, i use the one that is the most …

you're not responsible for the sex. it's a shared thing. you should be focusing on enjoying yourself through the shared experience. worrying about the performance is self-perpetuating. it would probably be a good idea to get counseling/therapy, because it helps one sort shit out to have someone to talk to like that. somewhat more extreme advice is to try hallucinogenics. if you do like a tenth of a hit of acid (10-20 micrograms), your reality stays intact, and you can ramp up the experience from…

So would you call an ant hill unnatural habitat? The only thing you can weigh the cost of existing against is the experience of existing, so calling the byproduct of our existence pollution doesn't make more sense than calling the byproduct of the existence of rats pollution. And if life is pollution, what is the unit of value against which you are evaluating things? Edit: and I acknowledge that pollution exists relative to us. People can pollute less or more. But the above statements ignore the…

I think the idea is that you should recognize that whining is a successful strategy for women, so when it arises in an otherwise delightful woman you are interacting with, you don't make too much of it. I've told girls that about guys that apply constant pressure to them to fuck. It's successful for them, so they keep doing it. All you can do is not reward them. I do agree that OP's outlook seems skewed but thats not my problem.

I have broken the no smilies rule because I saw a study that implied that judicious use of smilies helps people trust you. Do not use them to Telegraph meaning that you can communicate with words. Occasionally, they help communicate how things are supposed to be interpreted. The other pitfall is that people phones and…

If there's enough incentive (or lack of negative incentive) all bets are off, morals, shame, virtue, gone. this is a very good rundown. i have always attributed this ability in women to the fact that they are the last line of defense for children. when you're protecting your child from imminent death, honor is an obstacle. but you know, there are side effects.

being more specific would've prevented this post from being downvoted to zero. but in case this helps: women have a lot of leeway in their lives, and men are held accountable for almost any poor interaction between men and women. i was upset about this for a while, but then i realized that as a child, i met children who were given so much leeway that they were demanding and had poor self-control. did i want the leeway? yes. did i want to be those children? no. people lie to women all the time, t…

i think it's that there's no social pressure for women to justify themselves. they can blame their feelings (which are always valid), the patriarchy (she just picked the best option available to her), or men (dang old bullies), and people will eat it up. i am so grateful that i'm a man. i am grateful for all the constraints put on me, and being held accountable. it has made me a decent human being.

Think about it: philosophy is a conversation you have with great men who are dead. Each philosopher left only his words, and it is up to you to interpret them and incorporate them into your life as you see fit. i would say this about all good art, but it is more pronounced with the written or spoken word. read like a motherfucker, because you get to benefit from years of someone's thought, effort, and experience in just a few days or weeks. even if the person wasn't a genius, you get their one p…

watch people who never get interrupted. there is body language beyond good posture that communicates that you are not finished speaking, such as holding your hands up in front of you. speaking in head voice (with resonance coming from your sinuses rather than your body, or what people refer to as projecting) is higher energy and less likely to get bowled over. the other thing is what you do when you're interrupted. i will often continue speaking to see if they notice they're interrupting (probab…

male here. i'm not a long-time trper, but there are several things i feel i can clarify on this: I think the main problem I have with TheRedPill (and not TRP women) is that they seem to often internalize a sort of misogyny because a lot of the time the women they enter into relationships with are exceedingly narcissistic and disregard their needs and their feelings. i think the anger you see is because we live in a culture where men are considered at fault for everything. after spending one's pr…

you make a good point. but the only thing that seems to work some people up is how much traction this idea has gained. you have men who think they're pointless, and that makes me a little sad. you have women who overvalue themselves so much that talking to them is painful, and that frustrates me. but all in all, recognizing that this part of the landscape can only be empowering.

i think what it's saying is that what a man defines as love is a commitment to caring and providing for the person. what a woman defines as love is a feeling. i personally believe that this is largely social, since men are not culturally entitled to emotions, and women's emotions are validated no matter what. love is not a thing, so it varies from person to person. ever get in an argument over whether something is red or orange? love is less clear.

Do you think it's just the prevalence of feminism and women thinking if they are unhappy it's the man's fault? my father had a client who was a couples' counselor and she told him that she knows when the couple comes in how it's going to go based on whether or not the woman hates men. take that for what it's worth.
