it seems like you're essentially in a relationship anyway, because you have this girl watching your every move. i think a relationship is only worth getting into if you know you have the resolve and ability to be able to exit if necessary, because there is no honor in signing away your autonomy and your ability to exercise your will.

do not start dating her before your vacation under any circumstances. if she brings it up before your holiday, tell her you're not ready for a relationship and you can talk about it when you come back and get back into the groove of things. having to check in with and reassure a girl while you're on vacation is the chumpiest thing in the world.

i think it's important to be able to be happy and sexually successful in single life before you commit to someone because commitment out of necessity or weakness is no real commitment at all. i would recommend reading the rational male. as a book, it's put together pretty sloppily, but it's very insightful and would be a great thing to read in your downtime on holiday while considering your freedom and this relationship.

Looking back, starting an exclusive relationship is NEVER a good idea unless you're marrying a virgin who's 10 years younger than you and you're planning on having children with her.

All the shit you love about her at the moment, that she cooks for you, cleans up your shit, writes you cute good night sms, is enthusiastic about sex and is all over you, is coming to an end as soon as you start a relationship with her. Sure, it won't stop instantly, but it's only gonna go downhill from there.

I'm in your situation at the moment, but I constantly remind myself not to step into that trap again. The moment you start a relationship is the moment you're fucked. I curse god or whoever made it that way, but there is no way past it. Do whatever you want with her. But do not, and I repeat: DO NOT start an exclusive relationship.
