Cut this boy lose. And yes, I said boy because this is not how a grown man acts. I had an ex like this who put me through the ringer. It went from him getting angry about stuff easily, to him cursing me out for hours at a time, and undoubtedly would've turned into physical abuse had I decided to marry him like he kept asking me to. He's already showing signs of emotional abuse, and that should tell you he is not emotionally ready to lead a relationship whatsoever. Please do yourself a favor and …

I agree with others who say he is not being a good partner. I believe 100% that a man should lead his household, but that man also needs to be worth following. Right now, your husband doesn't sound like he's capable of leading and is somehow angry that you've been doing your best to step into his role when he vacated it during his mental illness episode. He needs to take responsibility for his actions and step up to the plate. Also, I know you have young children and this may not be a popular op…

In both those scenarios, the relationship can't be too serious if you're ready to jump ship for a man you actually know, for a random stranger off the street who you think can offer you more resources. If you don't enjoy dating then I think your best bet is to find a traditional and/or religious man who believes in arranged marriages and have your family set you up with a spouse. In the meantime, don't date anyone else casually and work on skills that will be beneficial when you become a wife.

I'm not going to say whether he did cheat or not, as I don't know the specifics of your relationship. But there is an old saying that says the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new. Seems like your husband took that advice to heart and found love again. I think your best bet is to use this as a learning experience and move on. If he's got a new woman and won't even meet up with you, then you need to respect his new relationship and move on. If he was willing to talk and work t…

So did you leave him because you thought you could do better, and he didn't fight you on it? Or did he cheat and you left? I'm not gonna say it's impossible to reconcile after two years, because my husband and I did. However, the odds are low and it would take alot of work on both ends to make it work. I went to therapy for a year while my husband and I were separated and he did his own therapy as well so that we could avoid the issues that caused us to separate in the first place. We also had t…

I didn't know my husband was the one til we met in person. We met online and talked for 3 months til we were finally able to meet in person as two young people living off basic retail jobs in two different countries. To be honest, I looked at our meet up as a fun adventure where I'd get to finally experience travel in another country and maybe get some good sex while I was at it before I came back to the US to find Mr. Right. Well we met and it turned out we got along even better in person, want…

Very low body count but preferably a virgin, nerdy (MUST be a gamer), taller than me, not into sports, professionally ambitious, passionate, loyal, married parents, and has a natural drive to protect the ones he loves. My husband met all those characteristics and more which is why I was quick to snag him when I did. Edit: I don't think your list is crazy considering you are looking for a religious man. But it also depends on your age. The closer you are to your early 20s and the more you are wil…

Some people are adamant about having the guy come to them first, which I understand for safety reasons. And I would lean towards going that route especially if you have a good support group locally to lean on in case things go sideways with meeting someone. In my case it didn't happen because my husband had an important cultural event coming up and invited me to visit him to attend, before he got a chance to come to my country.

I get the anti cohabitation thing since you are Christian. However, what I did and what I think could still work for you if you find yourself in a similar situation in the future, is to stay with him and his family for awhile. My husband and I met very young, so he was still staying with his parents when we first met. So I stayed in a separate room from him and got to know both him and his family better very early in our dating phase. I helped his mom do laundry, cook, and tidy up a bit on our l…

My husband and I went through a few phases in our younger years where both of us thought we could use passion projects to pay the bills. My husband encouraged me before I bombed out and I encouraged him when he was young and just trying to see what would work best for him to become the provider he is today. My point is, we were young and throwing things at the wall to see what stuck because well, we were young. Life changes alot in your 20s. And it's good that he wants to challenge himself. It s…

I mean it can work, but as Jenneapolis pointed out, the odds are low. As someone whom this situation did work out for (my husband and I met online living in two different countries, dated for a year long distance before closing the gap) I will give you some advice. You need to see this man for extended periods of time and not just like 1 or 2 weeks in vacation mode. When my husband and I dated, I went to visit him for a month while he was working. He had a high pressure job and we both need to s…

I used to live in Minneapolis and loved it. It is a true melting pot of liberal and conservative values. Alot of people I worked with were financially liberal, but socially conservative. I felt like overall it was a lot more moderate compared to most places in the US. Also the cold weather really only lasts for like 3 months, so it isn't too bad. And the summers on the lakes are absolutely amazing.

I had a boyfriend in high school who said the exact same things. It's easy to say all those things, but time can change things. I'm not saying it's impossible since my husband and I are actually met very young, but I wouldn't put all my stock into what a guy says at that age. Young adulthood can change people and it's a lot easier to drift apart at that age as you grow into who you are, than to grow together.

Proud of you for putting in the work to better yourself as a woman and a partner, and seeing your hard work pay off. Most men are naturally protective and you let him use that instinct to lead you out of a bad neighborhood and into a safe one. This is the kind of stuff I love to read about here!

We met online over 10 years ago when we were both very young and broke. But I was intentional about what I expected in a marriage and my husband was very ambitious and knew he wanted to be a provider for his family. I think starting to look for a husband relatively young to when society says you should, is the best thing a woman can do. That way you can vet him properly without the fear of time creeping up on you and leading to making rash decisions. I started when I was 19 and met my husband at…

One of my exes was verbally and emotionally abusive. He would call me every name under the sun when he was angry, but also thought it was okay because he never hit me. 🙄 He would also manipulate me emotionally even after we broke up by drunk calling me and reminiscing over what could've been had I not made him break up with me. What helped was taking time to work on myself. I stopped dating for 8 months and worked on rebuilding my confidence. I started working out a bit, did the things I wanted …

A man who wants to play video games in his free time is not a femboy as you so eloquently put it. My husband and I both love video games and I doubt someone who regularly picks up 100 lb hoses as part of his jobs can be considered a femboy. Also, how old are you and how long has your longest relationship actually lasted? This reads like a bitter, young girl who had been alpha widowed and is out to prove she's above everyone else.

I've only seen clips of the Whatever podcast. And out of all of them, the only person who seems reasonable to me has been Chase. Justin Waller is a narcissist. And the rest of them seem to be more about demeaning women to boost their ego rather than having any meaningful dialogue.

I see your point, however I would not be comfortable having everything be joint with my husband. I work in finance and I've seen those setups go sideways too many times for me to feel comfortable with that. But if it works for you, that's what matters
/r/RedPillWomen31/05/23 06:00 PM

I think it depends. My parents who live in the South have joint and separate bank accounts like my husband and I. My husband pays most of the bills and just transfers the money to our bills account when the time comes to do so which is all I really care about. He makes 4 times what I make and I know that he maximizes our retirement and savings funds every month. I really don't care what he does with the rest because he works very hard for his money.

He has really grown in his confidence as a man and as a leader and my admiration and love for him has deepened so much more over the past few months, thanks to it. I met my husband on a dating site that catered to a niche interest we share. He was living in a very tiny town with low dating prospects and I had given up on finding Mr. Right within my city. We met, dated long distance for a year, then I moved to be with him. And although our story had a happy ending, it is definitely an exception to the rule. Online dating can be horrible. So if you pursue it, you need to be careful to weed out the men looking for one night stands and friends with benefits. I…

So what happens if your boyfriend and you breakup and he has rehomed his dogs with your friend? He probably won't get to see them anymore. I get that you think he is only taking care of the dogs out of loyalty now since it wasn't his decision to get them. However, if he hasn't brought up the idea of rehoming them, there is a big probability that he cares about them now and doesn't want to rehome them for a partner. If he did, he could've done so when he broke up with his ex. When my husband and …

Yelling at the waitress in a restaurant because their food is touching on the plate. This happened to me with a guy I was seeing and I went no contact the same night after he dropped me off at home. If they can't respect service people then they are not going to respect you or anyone else.

True. My husband's love language is acts of service while mine is physical touch. I didn't catch onto this for far too long so I thought h honestly didn't care about me because although I got a hug and kiss everyday, it was usually when I was sleep and he was leaving for work. So I stepped up the acts of service and he naturally became more physically affectionate. Military life is hard, especially if he has to see combat. It's mentally and physically taxing and has a tendency to change people. And because a lot of people don't get the support they need to cope, it can easily turn into a situation where they self medicate. I'm not saying this is true for all military servicemen and women, but it happens enough that it is something to take into consideration.

I would keep looking if it was me. You have very little physical attraction to the first one. And as much as physical attraction isn't the end all, be all. The last thing you want to do is end up in a dead bedroom because you were never really into him physically but thought he would make a great dad. Second guy is military and so I'd be wary. Alot of military men have a tendency to want to settle down quick for military benefits or just to have an anchor/support back at home. Also like the othe…

I'm all for stfu, but when it begins to breed resentment you need to speak up. Otherwise this is a recipe for am unhealthy relationship at best and a breakup at worst. I'm going to give you my personal experience from before I met my husband. I was single, but had met a great guy my age with whom I had amazing chemistry. She does, but I would honestly say that extending your area for looking for a mate is better than basically saying you want to be treated like a plate in hopes that a man will commit. If a man isn't willing to integrate you into his life or treat you with respect, then he has no reason to commit to you. I mean if she's okay having an arrangement where she pays for a man to stay with her, then her chances of marriage are possibly higher going this route. But if she thinks a man who only calls onc…

You should want a man who is head over heels for you, and you for him. Otherwise you are right, no man will want to invest time and energy into a long-term committed relationship with you, no matter what your age is. It's good to compromise, but you are basically saying you will be a doormat just to have a guy, which will not bring you happiness. Also if a man doesn't adore you, there's zero incentive for him to actually make you his wife like you desire. At best you might be a plate to him. At …

Yes, my husband supports my hobbies. I told him I wanted a new gaming computer in less than 2 weeks because a game I wanted was coming out soon, and he spent the next week and a half researching and building it for me. We, as women, should nurture and care for our husbands and children, but that doesn't equal being slaves to their every whim. We need to have time for ourselves too so we don't burn out or become resentful.

I agree to not start withholding sex now. You've done it already and can't really take it back at this point. I mean let's say he stopped saying he loved you because he felt he said it too soon? How would that make you feel? Insecure at worst, irritated at best I'm guessing. Stopping sex is the same thing. You aren't doomed if you have sex on the first date. I did this with my husband and we just celebrated 8 years of marriage this year. Does it lower the chances of the guy wanting to stick around? I don't consider myself a gamer per say, but I do play quite a few video games. I think it's best to look for a game that has something to do with what you have interest in outside of just looking for a game. I love interior design and managing things so I play games like Cities Skylines, the Sims, and Going Medieval. I also love history which got me into Crusader Kings 2 and 3. If she didn't want to have the father of her children be a smoker, then she shouldn't have married a smoker and had children with him. You can't marry someone or have children with someone and expect them to change because you want them to change.
/r/RedPillWomen22/01/23 09:34 PM

You knew he smoked when you met and accepted him as he is. You cannot change a person. You need to axcept that this is who he is and stop trying to force him to be something he is not. Apologize for yelling at him in the past, tell him (and mean it) that you accept he smokes, you wish he would quit, but you know you cannot change him if he doesn't want to change himself, and move forward in life together. Don't bring up his smoking again unless he brings it up.

I feel for you. My question is, have you ever had sex? Has the marriage actually been consummated? If yes, there may be hope as long as he stops using porn as a substitute for the intimacy he needs to be giving to you his wife, AND he goes to personal therapy to deal with his own issues. If not, I would look into other streams for citizenship and talk to a divorce lawyer because what you have is a sham of a marriage. There's a big difference between what men find to be attractive for a quick romp and what they want to settle down with. I had this same problem and ended up going to a therapist to help. I had to find healthy calming techniques. If I'm upset with something my husband said or did, I take a few deep breaths and calmly explain to him that I am becoming upset. Then, I listen to his response without judgement. Meaning I don't attach snarky thoughts to what be says and take his words and actions at face value. This was really hard at first, but I've gotten better at it. If marriage is this important to you, you should've brought it up awhile ago. What if he doesn't want to get married? Will you end the relationship to find someone who does want to make you their wife? Or will you stay because you think love is enough to make it last? Basically, just be honest with him. Ask him if he wants to get married. Then you'll get an answer pertaining to if you're on the same page or not. But don't keep holding off because you hope he'll bring it up.

Alright so you barely know this man. I know it is fun to dream about the future, etc. when you are in the honeymoon stage. But you need to take a step back, breathe, and see him for what he is this moment. Do his actions match his words? Does he have any quirks that may be deal breakers for you? How does he handle conflict? Basically vet this man to see if you actually want to be his wife in the future. And take it slow and live in the moment. I remember asking him why he was interested in me when I wasn't well traveled and was basically on the cusp of becoming a college dropout. His answer was unlike all the women he could and had dated before, I wasn't only into him for his money and he could tell I wanted to be a good wife someday. Men don't care about accolades in their wives. They care that you …

Promoting family based initiatives and strong community is the only thing that will help. Instead of subsidizing day cares, the government should be sending those funds directly to families. Pay for long term maternity/paternity leave, subsidize families who choose to live on a single income instead of having both parents out in the workplace, and promote community and family in the media. As for schools, school districts should not be receiving funds directly from the state. It doesn't foster a…

This. Early on I told my husband the only way we will have children is if I can take care of them full time and not put them in daycare. Daycare was horrible for me as a child and left me with codependency and anxiety issues I eventually needed intense therapy for as an adult. I would never put my children through that kind of Hell. And now with the state of public schooling, I would never send my kids to a school where they care more about indoctrination than actually teaching.

This is a personal decision only you can decide. I mean I slept with my husband the first day we met in person (had been chatting online for 3 months prior) and it worked out. So really it's whatever you feel comfortable with. Our situation was a little different though. I knew we both had a lot in common before we met, and we were both looking for forever. But I needed to see if the physical connection matched our emotional connection as well before I agreed to a long distance relationship. But…

Does he shy away from you touching him? If not, I would do that more and see if he keeps reciprocating. My husband's love language is acts of service also, and I've noticed that he's more touchy feely when I do something he loves like deep cleaning the kitchen or bathrooms. If you're not meeting his needs there, then that is another place you could work on improving which will more than likely get you more physical touch as well.

I care more about if a man can actually connect emotionally during sex than their n-count. Porn can find a virgin and their ability to connect just as much as having lots of sex partners can ruin an experienced man.

FWB is just the male version of the friendzone. This is so true! Men do not ask a woman they want a relationship with to be FWB. This is only done to meet their sexual needs until the right woman comes along. Women who think otherwise are only deluding themselves.

I did and have kind of given up at this point. I refuse to do medical intervention though because I know it would send me into an anxious, depressed mental state. My husband has alluded to it being a possibility for us, but I'm of the mind that if it happens it happens. If it doesn't, I'm very happy living childfree with my husband and our dogs. Also my husband has never been super excited about having children.

No he isn't, and to be honest had I been a virgin when we met we probably would've never ended up together. When we met we were living in two different countries and there is no way I would have flown to go see him being a virgin. Also the relationships I had before I met him that involved sex, helped mold me into the woman he fell in love with when we met. Had I not had those experiences I don't think we would've meshed as well as we did/do.

I felt like this before. Happiness is a choice though, and when you choose to look at it that way it becomes easier to change your mindset. And even if he wasn't an alcoholic, men don't typically wife up or seriously date their FWBs. I feel like radical feminism is extremely different from first wave feminism. First wave feminism that fought for women's right to vote, have their own bank account, and have minorities seen as human beings, is all good in my book. Radical feminism is more cult like where you must agree with the group or face ridicule and social exclusion.

I find it interesting that most wealthy men have wives who do not work. Even the ones who leave rearing their children up to nannies, private schools, and boarding schools, usually do not work. I think true feminism is a right to choose. Basically things that the women who were part of the suffrage movement fought for. Modern feminism is more like a cult where you have the right to choose as long as you're choosing from the pre-approved things the hivemind say are correct.

It was what made me want to lean more into my femininity initially and my submissive side.

Thank you, I find STFU and thinking about things from the point of view of my husband and really anyone I'm interacting with, before I speak really helps. It has also opened my eyes to how self absorbed I was in the past. Makes me want to cringe now.

I had to end all contact with my best friend of over 15 years, a year ago. She was an outright feminist and lesbian who hated men, yet was married to one whom she made pay dearly for the "sins" of all the white men who came before him. All her advice was toxic, and when my husband and I were having issues due to me following her and main stream society's feminist advice, she happily told me just to get a divorce if my husband couldn't accept me as I was. No talk about self introspection, or anyt…

I squeak around my husband when I'm really excited about something or get scared by something. He thinks it's adorable. I also hold onto his arm when we walk somewhere and stare up at him lovingly from time to time. Oh and I listen intently to what he has to say and ask questions to better understand things like his work and some of his hobbies. He loves explaining things to me in more detail, especially when he's passionate about something.

After reading through your replies, one thing stands out to me the most. Your resentment that he wants 50/50 despite making 3x much as you. You're caught in a power struggle and feel like he's being unfair to you, so you're lashing out by doing less and making everything tit for tat because you feel this relationship is lopsided. If you're truly unhappy with the 50/50 arrangement, you need to be upfront with him and tell him, because I think getting that sorted would solve alot of your issues. I…

You said he does most of the chores in your original post. And if he does most of the chores at his place with you not living together, that makes sense. As for the money situation, as I said before relationships take balance. Money is not the only way to contribute in a relationship and this transactional tit for tat will be the undoing of your relationship. If you want him to pay for most of everything because he makes more than you, I do think that's fair. My own relationship has functioned t…

So he pays for most of the groceries and does most of the chores along with being your free therapist. Yeah, that definitely isn't balanced. My husband has almost always made significantly more money than me, even when I've worked full time, and he's paid more bills than me. In return ice done 95% of the cooking and a good chunk of the cleaning. Why? Because relationships require balance for both people to be happy. And one person can't be giving a ton of themselves, while the other person gives…

If he's paying most of the bills, you should be doing most of the chores. Relationships take balance and this relationship doesn't sound balanced. No one wants to work all day and then come home to have to clean, cook, etc while their SO barely works and doesn't do anything domestically either. And yes men do want to please their woman, but they don't want to be doormats either. They want a woman to meet their needs as well at home. And it doesn't sound like you're doing that right now.

I've been with my husband for over a decade and we text every morning and every night (temporary LDR). Then we touch base throughout the day just to let the other know we are thinking of them. My husband also likes memes a lot, so I send him random, funny ones periodically, especially if I know he's having a tough day. When we lived together we still sent each other good morning texts because we started work at different times, and touched base throughout the day for logistics or to vent sometim…

Yeah but she wouldn't have to worry about being kicked out randomly on the whim of another person. Also, she would have more free time for herself to invest in herself instead of throwing herself into doing domestic duties for him all the time. And if he's at an age where he can comfortably buy a home and they've been together 4 years, I would seriously have concerns about being strung along myself. Too many stories about men dating one woman for years, breaking things off, and then marrying som…

I was in a similar situation as you when my husband and I were dating. I did his laundry, cooked him dinner every night and made him lunch every day, and cleaned and ran 90% of his errands for him. He made about three times as much as me while I worked part time. With that said, I also didn't pay rent. I paid for other utilities and my car, but my husband and I agreed it made no sense for me to stress my finances paying rent when he made so much more than me. This may sound mean, but it sounds t…

They really do. My husband works between 9 and 10 hours on a good day. On his busiest days it's more like 12 to 15 hours. So having me take care of the home mostly, logistically makes more sense for us. Also, when he is home it makes our days off together more relaxing. We can sleep in and have brunch while watching a movie, walk our dogs together, or hang out on our deck while not fretting over laundry or vacuuming. Sadly, it's near impossible for us to have that when we are both working full t…

This sounds toxic. My husband and I are different with differing hobbies as well, however we do still share some common interests. And even when we talk about things we don't have in common, but are passionate about individually, we listen to each other because that's important in a marriage. The name calling is disrespectful, and I would definitely discuss that with your husband. The captain needs to command respect, and he's not going to get that calling you and your ideas stupid. Also, I woul…

I don't have children yet, and my husband and I have discussed having me go back to part time. My husband works long hours and we have pets and a relatively big house, so I'm the primary cook and house cleaner. Me working full time just doesn't work for us. We've tried it multiple times and every time we both end up more miserable in our home life. So I'm now looking to work part time either closer to home or doing something remote.

This! When I met my husband he was working fast food while I had just gotten certified to work as a pharmacy technician. Fast forward to now, 10 or so years later, and he makes 4 times what I made when I was at the height of my money making endeavors. In fact I haven't worked full time most of the time we've been together because 1) I don't need to, and 2) I'd rather spend more time at home making sure the house is in order so we can maximize the time we do have together at home.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. Also, let's be honest, women's SMV declines much faster than a man's as we age and so does our window to have children. If you're near or over 30 and the man says he needs close to a decade to decide if you're worth spending the rest of his life with, then you should gracefully bow out, do some self reflection and healing, and find someone else who is ready to commit.

So he lives in your house with his leech of a brother and you don't trust him to successfully lead your relationship. He isnt what you want, so why are you trying to salvage this? How long have you two been together?

Are the bills currently being paid and does he have any money in savings? Also, I'm assuming y'all live with his brother. If that's the case, you might want to have a talk about you two getting your own place without him. I lived with my in-laws for a few months before my husband and I got our own place, and it really helped our relationship once we moved out to be on our own. As for him not respecting your ideals, I feel like this may be a case of you two having differing opinions as to handle …

I used to watch my wedding video at least twice a year, then it got lost in our move. I havent seen it in 3 years and I'm still trying to get my mom or sister, who each have a copy, to make me another one. Also, this reminds me that I really should finally make a wedding album for our photos.

This! Instead of asking you outright, he's trying, and failing, to sneakily fish the info out of you. Also I kind of find it a green flag that he's thinking about his future and if you would fit into his personal goals long term. It shows he's not stuck in the 'live for the moment' mentality and actually has an idea of where he wants to go in life and what kind of woman he wants to take on that journey with him.

I think the older sister was way out of line and is projecting her own insecurities. How does she know if her sister's husband doesn't like the way she dresses? The truth is, she doesn't. She sounds jealous and catty to me, and that really isn't a good look.

So my husband and I met online while living in two different countries. My husband was adamant he wanted to date me and pursued me with a fierceness. He called and texted me every other day until we agreed to meet up in person 3 months after our initial online connection, and then continued to contact me regularly after that. I know long distance relationships are hard and they aren't for everyone, however this man was breadcrumbing you. If he really was interested in you enough to date you, he …

We went for a walk for our first date after we finally met in person. We discussed pretty much everything we wanted in a relationship, including how many potential future children we wanted, gender roles, finances, etc. I told him I wanted to be a SAHM for the first few years if we had kids and he told me he wanted to be the provider for our family. Although fate has so far lead us not to have kids, we still both enjoy having traditional gender roles in our marriage.

He breadcrumbed you for a year with the occasional text and got you in bed on the first night. I'm not saying sleeping with someone on the first night is the definite death of any budding relationship because me and my husband slept together the first day we met in person (talked online for 3 months prior to that). But, if there was no real substance between you two beforehand like a friendship or constant communication, and he can easily find sex elsewhere, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one…

I'm an introvert, so I cant help you much with being social. However, pampering myself comes easily to me. Have you ever been to the spa? If not, book yourself something you've always wanted to do this weekend and go for it. Manicure, facial, massage. Whatever, just do it and more importantly, enjoy it. If you feel you don't deserve it, workout beforehand and call it a reward to yourself for a job well done. The more you do it, the less awkward it will feel to take care of yourself.

What you say you want clearly contradicts the kind of life you are currently building for yourself. You say you want this high earning man who will take care of all your needs, but you have chosen to take that role yourself instead by paying all the bills for your boyfriend. I can't advise you on keeping the kid, but you have 2 options regarding this relationship. Either let him lead, like he seems to be attempting to do now with his plan for the trailer and accept you may not live this comfy li…

Sailor Moon. She was one of the most powerful people in the world, but still clung to her future husband as her rock. Also seeing how he cared for her and lead her to become the amazing fighter and queen she turned into, really influenced what I eventually looked for in a husband when I got older.

This describes my husband. When we met he was fresh out of high school and learning a trade. We got married in our mid twenties, and bought what will likely be our forever home in our late twenties.
