I'm new to RPW, but have really been enjoying implementing it into my life and my marriage so far. With that said, I wanted to ask you awesome ladies some advice on a dilemma I've been facing.

My husband is a great husband whom I greatly love and admire. I crave his validation and pretty much always have. This caused some codependency issues that I went to therapy to get help with, and I feel I've grown alot personally and in our marriage after doing so.

With that said, there is something that he did recently that made me feel super insecure. I don't think he meant any harm by it, but we were talking about the state of the world and he randomly was like "X", our neighbor's wife, "is a great mom." Now ordinarily this wouldn't have bothered me except I have had trouble getting pregnant in the past and he hasn't exactly been gung ho about the process, and it really hurt and triggered my insecurities about being in my early 30s and not having a child.

I think the other reason it bothered me so much was that he has had what I considered inappropriate friendships with women in the past that included them texting him late at night to talk (this neighbor's wife included) and him being an emotional dumping ground for one of his ex coworkers while she went through a breakup. I've been trying to work through all these things but something about that comment brought about a high level of anxiety and insecurity in me that I haven't been able to shake the past day or so.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to best handle the situation. He's away for work right now, so I told him I would like to talk to him over the phone about it tonight when he gets back to his room. He's going to be gone for awhile, so speaking in person isn't a viable option.

UPDATE: We spoke and I calmly told him how I felt while I was sure not to even suggest a way to fix stopping these feelings in me. The result was him apologizing and saying he wasnt trying to hurt me, but he saw it from my POV. We then went on to have a great conversation and a great night before we both went to bed.

Also to the people questioning if he's a good man or not, he is. My husband isn't perfect and has made mistakes in our relationship, but he has never acted maliciously towards me. He is an excellent provider, great lover, and the only man I would ever follow in this crazy world.
