Yeah I'll be having a nice conversation with a man only for him to drop the J bomb lol and after that everything that comes out of his mouth I have to watch carefully. They really are increasing in numbers and have the weirdest ideas on women. God help us all 🤣

Ok what is it about men and philosophical theories though? Am I the only one running into more and more men who follow these Jordan Petersons and Joe Rogans and quote them verbatim..I mean what happened to actual hobbies and interests? And the psuedo diluted spiritual gurus as well...the one positive thing that comes from this is they claim to not be interested in watching porn for what it does to their brains (but not about the women trafficked into it!!)...but otherwise it's a continuous word …

This is proof I needed FDS, I actually did not think Nate was evil ..but do people know how many hours chefs work? He would have worked as many if not more hours than Anne Hathaway yet he had the balls to say it's causing a rupture in their relationship..any man who blames your work as the cause of problems in the relationship has ulterior motives of controlling you and I unfortunately learnt this the hard way.

Early twenties is way too young to be getting married, you change a lot as you grow older...also your friend group sounds a little toxic, like you've outgrown them. You shouldn't have to be in a group where you're forced to justify your choices, they should accept the unique perspective you bring as an individual and leave it at that.

True I agree.. women can't always leave, Stockholm syndrome, trauma bonding can play a big part in making them stay against their best instincts.

I like cooking as a hobby because it makes me feel accomplished with every meal I make, but I'll be damned before I ever tell any LVM that I even like cooking. I don't want them to assume that just because I like to make a few special meals a week, that it means I like slaving away on the stove everyday. Especially from the culture where I come from, it seems to be the standard expectation for a woman that she cooks for everyone. So once I realised I enjoy cooking, I actually take measures to hi…

I've read some of those success stories ...full of red flags, getting married after knowing each other only for months? And who's to say these stories are not fake, planted by the companies themselves. In my country the apps use these social media pages to post so called successful stories of the apps and it paints a "too good to be true" story, there's always something lurking in the subtext. I think the combination of meeting someone online, and him making it through the ruthless vetting stage…

Yes for part 2! I'm interested to see it..and what she says about him wanting to control her forever, well he can only control her until she matures, when she wises up. So I think what's even more manipulative about old dirty men dating teenagers is that they know they can control them for longer, if not forever, than if they dated someone their age. I wish I hadn't found that out the hard way.

I looked this up and this documentary 'Swiped' was inspired by a Vanity Fair article called 'Tinder and the Dawn of a dating apocalypse' by Nancy Jo sales, and Tinder's reaction to the article was to go on a Twitter tirade...only making me want to read the article more. Also Tech crunch gave the documentary a bad review but it only makes me want to watch it more. I'll report back here once I do both. I really want to purge the urge to ever go on a dating app again.

This is also the reason why sometimes women think the sex is very good even when it's not, if he withholds affection and intimacy in any other way. Have standards for every part of the relationship independently of the other parts and if he doesn't measure up, he's not worth it.

She's also taking on a lot of the mental load and 100% of the household management...he doesn't even know to pay a single bill? The light bulb joke 😂 But the way I look at changing other people's behaviour is this - if it's so hard to change myself, or any habits of mine, to stay consistent, it's impossible to make that sort of deep everlasting change in others. Easier to let go than hoping one day they'll put in the massive effort needed to change.

Been there sis, a man said to me, that he would never date a porn star, but he wouldn't stop watching porn. Obviously porn is No No in relationships and won't be tolerated, but I also ask a question to gauge their perception of women in porn, "Would you date a woman who does porn?" And their answers go like "It's personally not for me". It's the classic Madonna Whore complex..and the fact that they see these women on porn as objects, while the principal reasons for opposing porn is the degradati…

His book where he stated this theory was used in court cases as evidence that the mother had claimed the father as a pedophile so that the dad can now claim custody of the kids. In the Farrow Vs Allen case specifically, his book was not admitted as evidence because he has written another book where he states pedophilia is natural. Disgusting 🤢🤢 But even today his fake claims get admitted into court, as per the documentary.

This reminds me that they need to stop calling it the "beauty" industry and just call it the 'makeup" industry. It's clever marketing. To denote those products as beauty that any women can acquire and should acquire. I think one thing we can all do is auto correct any mention of beauty to makeup in our heads whenever we see an ad or a video, so that we know true beauty lies in anything but what they're selling.

This is honestly so sad. This is why you should always make it expensive and time consuming for a man to waste your time. If the first girl had higher standards, she wouldn't have put up with a low effort relationship. I'm glad that we're all understanding better what men's investment and effort in a relationship should actually look like..not just the sweet words and false promises...but money, and time and thoughtful consideration. Tall, muscular, a great head of hair, no history of male patterned baldness or obesity, a dedicated gym schedule and a passion for eating healthy, great dental hygiene and a deep voice, eyes to swim in, are the basic things we look for, to know that a man is attractive and that he'll stay attractive. No letting yourselves go after marriage. No dad bods or replacing your weights set with an Xbox. Meet the new bare minimum. ✨

It's also because your parents see marrying you off as the final ultimate responsibility of having a daughter so they're doing it for themselves as much as they say they're doing it for you. It's selfish, they literally see you as a responsibility to be handed off to another family, even though you are fully independent. If you're also part of a larger toxic family system of aunts and uncles who push for marriage, it's time to cut them off as well.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/04/21 07:23 PM

The alternative is cutting your parents off completely..tell them you're upset they're pushing you on this issue and block them, go no contact..that's the stress free way but you'll have to be okay with doing it, and dealing with the the loss. But it's so peaceful because the pressure goes away. It helps if you're not emotionally attached to them. Personally my dad would have been difficult to fight with on the marriage issue but since he and my mom split, I've gone no contact with him and now I…

Just do what most South Asian girls being forced into arrange marriage do... Since you're already moved out and aren't dependent on them financially, realise that the next 5 years you're going to have to develop very thick skin in resisting marriage. Most of my girl friends 25+ who are resistant to marriage fight with their parents 90% of the time. Don't count on them ever seeing sense but use every argument you can. Don't hold back. Ah Blue Valentine woke me up to the realities of my relationship too, mostly because my ex admired Gosling in it and it was one of his favourite movies. Watching the movie I realized Gosling's character had no redeeming qualities. Don't read on if you want Spoilers. It's more a sentiment of 'How dare she disobey me, her husband?' than jealousy. These men will let their families starve before letting their wives be disobedient to them, or trump their position as man of the house. But jealousy is a component too, I've seen that they become extremely insecure if the wife makes more money or gets recognised for her work. And he suspected her of cheating on him because she had moved away to live with her parents to get away from his torture I suppose.

India is no country for women. The less we entangle our lives with the men here, the better. He was reportedly yelling to the passerbys as he stabbed her "Don't come between me and my wife." Men have this mindset where their wives/girlfriend are their property and no should come in between their relationship. Even if he's murdering her in the streets. Sima was your typical Indian mum obsessed with sons or the male child. Which is why she coddled all the men on that show. And she pushed her own unwilling daughter into a marriage. Her internalised misogyny knows no bounds. Indian ladies on FDS, if you know such problematic aunties in your life, start seeing the similarities and start distancing from them! Just like the woman in this video, I too have sat down and "communicated" to the guy for hours exactly what he's doing wrong..he would acknowledge it but wouldn't lift a finger to change a thing. After 3 years of communicating my frustrations, breaking up and getting back together because of loneliness (3 times) I just realised he was never going to change. True but with treating ourselves right there is always a measure of self deprecation that never goes away, some of it is healthy too, when we see areas that need improvement so we use some tough love to push ourselves. So there has to be tough love to ourselves some of the time. But to our close friends we treat them right 100% of the time and more, and even tough love is gentle. So I guess finding the HVM will mean finding someone who can be that for person for us, while we simultaneously work …

Oh. Indian men working in their family business, they need to come with warnings. And it's unfortunate that your friend wants to be a SAHM and have kids in her twenties. I can see no scenario where this will workout in her favour, but I'm glad she holds two degrees. I too know many women with double degrees who don't work at all and instead look forward to relying on the husband. But it's not impossible to enter the work force later for her. If they're engaged and they're yet to marry you still have some time to educate her on his problematic behaviours and what she can do to protect herself. Arm her with the knowledge of how to hold her own in the marriage - financial independence, separate finances and your friend should understand everything, demanding they live apart from the joint family (your friend can gain some autonomy then), demanding she continues working no matter what, that she studies further, and that in the household…

It's amazing how much they dislike women with confidence. They instantly try to bring you a notch down. And I had this beautiful model friend, and she hadn't said two words to this guy before he judged her to be too snobby when in reality she's very down to earth. It's because he knew he was way out of her league and that she would never go for him, so he would try to bring her down.

Men need to make it clear that it's a date, first of all. Let's get a beer, let's do this activity... isn't an invitation to date. It's in the handbook. And maybe he gave other signs it wasn't a date..as men often do, by hinting and indicating they aren't looking for anything serious. This girl probably assumed it was ok to share this fact with him, because she assumes they went out as friends..which girl would do this to her date? Mixed signals are a no.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/21 07:41 PM

Yes. Considering the amount of work it is to find a HVM worthy enough of our time and energy, and deserves to be in our lives, the only men we will entertain from now is if we see them adding value in the long run, in marriage.

Men taller than me, a haircut or some attention to their hair, dry skin, feet and hands is a big no no (get some lotion ffs), clean nails and nailbuds, groomed in that area, impeccable dressing sense, neat facial hair if he must have it. Attractive facial features and a personality to match, a nice deep voice and polished way of speaking and articulate too.

Yup. And this LVM in question didn't even specify it was a date, he wanted to 'hang out', he wanted me to drive to his place 20kms from my house, and also he said 'there won't be any pressure to do this or that because you're coming over' but 'I'll make you feel guilty if you don't come'. I ended up not going. Obviously. I would block and delete him but he works for a sister firm and we're connected professionally. So I'll just have to avoid these 'dates' as much as possible.

This honestly gets on my nerves too, that the only way we'll find an HVM is if we're in the right place at the right time in HIS life and he spots the woman..and makes the decision to be HV for the woman.. But I take comfort in the fact that the opposite is never true for men, that the only way they'll attract and keep a HVW is by consistent effort for years and years, so they ultimately have to work more to prove they are 'marriage material'. Unless they prove themselves to be that over and ove…

Yes women are calm, present, visually and mentally organised..I've definitely seen that, but I was talking about characteristics we need to emulate instead of those we exhibit naturally. I used to say dumb things like 'Love is Blindness' and it took me years to open my eyes. The diehard romanticism permeates every layer of society, every song, movie, book, work of art is about singing the glories and suffering for love. It really is some sort of suffocating conditioning to think romantic love is the ultimate prize. Hopefully we can all move forward to a future where it isn't put on such a pedestal anymore.

It said she's a blogger and her blog and YouTube was linked on the original post in Insta. She's made a 25 minute video on how she met her husband on YouTube.. I watched it and I have no words. None at all. Complete Trainwreck. Here's the actual story from the video for those who would rather not waste 25 mins on another Pickme's video They met on OkCupid, they had 'deep' conversations, he did propose within 5 days and asked to travel, and she went to India in 3 months, and they travelled for 2 …

I spoke about it to my mom who recently got out of a bad marriage and she immediately got it. I told my friends about the principles and when they seemed to get it I told them to read the handbook first which I shared with them and then I told them to go on the subreddit. But I don't think they're big readers/Reddit users and will probably not find their way here which is sad because one of them is in a terrible marriage, one of them is getting married next year, one of them is just out of a two…

No I get it. It takes dating a few LVM before women realise it's fruitless to sit and go through every detail of men's behaviours. Are your friends wise about it atleast? With every girl group boy drama is always a part of it but we should bring in more topics about sisterhood and travelling together, trying new things, sustainability, political opinions..basically things that are riveting to talk about, change the tide of the conversation ourselves and some of them will appreciate you for it. Until you know him really well don't get into his car...pre-book a taxi if you don't drive on your own and try not to drink on dates. If anyone asks me out I tell them I don't drink on dates. And so they scoot if their only intention was to get me drunk. A guy who actually wants my company isn't going to be bothered whether I drink or not. And I actually prefer driving myself places so I don't drink with dinner at all.

It's ingrained deep in many such sub-cultures here..so besides knowing the general traits of LVM I also need to learn the specific ways each of these communities oppress women so I can stay the hell away from them. Through the arranged marriage system, he said he would never go against his mom's wishes and his mom wanted him to marry a girl from the same community/sub caste. This group in particular doesn't even let women work, and are very tight knit. They get women married young, 23 at most. He will find a place. My family went through the same this year, my father got so nasty during lockdown, always yelling about the bills he had to pay, even though my mom paid half too. He would argue incessantly and never treat my mum right, never had a supportive word to say. He really shrunk our self esteem to bits and destroyed the peace in the house. One day he hit her, and she left the house. My mom found a rented house for us and we all moved out. Throughout this my dad the NVM had the aud…

Aww OP this made me tear up! My mom is currently my only family because we left an abusive situation and my dad's family sided with him.. and I constantly make sure she is treated like a Queen in our house, we plan special meals and surprises for each other, I leave flowers on her dresser sometimes, make tea when it's rainy outside and leave cute notes for each other. I just want to treat her so much better than my dad ever did, and so we support each other a lot. Thanks for your picture!

I see your point. In my mind I'm a fast learner but I found conflicting advice on here..I wanted to check the pros and cons of both. I won't be immediately dating any of these matches until I vet them thoroughly.. So far the answer 'I'll know it when I see it' has been my go-to

Don't men enjoy the thrill of the chase anymore? So even with easy hookup sex, you can bet they won't like it as much because they didn't have to work for it... So they have to work it out for themselves, mediocre sex with low effort, or sex with someone who makes them wait and work for it..they can decide for themselves...because we HVW will make them work for it... It's also in Why Men love Bitches, the book. So if a guy tells you he gets easy sex..great..easy to get sex isn't always better th…

Anything that gets their testosterone flying to high levels and they're in a groupthink mentality, count me out of it. I've attended one sporting event, a football club match and they get ROWDY. They pregame and yell things. It's a bad scene for women.

I'm from India and I remembered when they hired cheerleaders for the first edition of IPL cricket, the amount of catcalling and sick insults those women endured as they performed for a thirst filled mostly Indian-male crowd. Also another incident, a girl saw a cute guy in a supermarket, and she tweeted about it..'Guy in the blue shirt, you're cute' or something and somehow it went viral..with all the thirsty men finding her IG handles spamming it with comments..about how they need to go to super…

Because in their eyes, a woman seems incompetent without a man. I know, a horrendous concept for us, but they somehow see twos happier than ones... or maybe they're insecure that they can never be single so when they see you single and happy they're just projecting their insecurities on you...happens unconsciously sometimes.

I had the misfortune to meet the most obnoxious man last year..All he would do is name drop people he met at parties where he was a 'socialite' and all the latest gadgets he picked up, even though I would have rolled my eyes a couple of times, he would continue to flaunt his wealth - the non luxury cars his family drove, the fact that he bought his clothes from certain brands and so on. It was honestly so unattractive. Even if he was all those things, he failed to read the room..

Women I know do this all the time, in an arranged marriage system. They marry the men after a year or less engagements, but they hardly spend enough time getting to know the guy enough and sometimes once the family has accepted the guy, they can hardly test out red flags.. Once they go abroad, if they don't immediately go about getting an education or work, they might try for a baby. And then get stuck in these bad marriages abroad with no support system. I believe it was written about in the pa…

Definitely. The continued rejection from women and lack of material success builds up a swell of 'Ugh this is so unfair' mentality inside them and they become 6 year old bullies, making fun of the things they can't have and hiding behind the 'Can't you take a joke?' trope. And I've also found that parents are the worst enablers...oh don't hurt his feelings...and when it's you as the joke..'Its just a joke, he didn't mean it, don't cry about everything'. Because I think it's about when men displa…

Yeah and these men display their hate covertly by jokes or pranks such as these.. I've had jokes or pranks pulled at my expense in the past and I always refuse to laugh at them, and tell them how I offended I was, and these men straight up stop talking to me. Good riddance. They showed me they can't handle the smallest of boundaries.

She does give him the finger as the video ends. But yeah she needs to be the 'cool girl' who likes jokes made at her expense. And men get so butthurt if we make fun of them, as in really find the places they're insecure about and poke fun at it. They would never be this tolerant.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/10/20 03:36 AM

Yup. And all the men in the comments are saying 'You know she looks upset but she realises it's actually true..beer is better than women'. They don't know what this woman is thinking, but that's what they want her to think anyway.

That's lucky. My family has been strictly told to leave me alone, but I suspect they will restart the conversation in a few years. Attitudes are developing but I don't see any empowerment of women in this area in general.

I know, even before I found FDS, I knew I would never let any man get away with half the stuff these women have. Even if the women are aware that the man isn't treating them well, they have the mentality of AMALT. If I find that that is true for most Indian men, then I would rather stay alone than cook, clean and cajole a man child all my life.

The sad/horrific story is the women's families pick their grooms. The ladies have little say - maybe they can reject one or two suitors based on looks/education but pretty soon the family gets impatient with the process and she is forced to settle. Happened with so many of my girlfriends. And my mom even. I'm lucky because I've kept all the male and female authority figures in my life at a distance and they know, making me do something is like fighting with wildfire. But unless you're ready to c…

Wow yeah I live in India and I didn't follow this story on the news, thought it was celebrity drama. The patriarchy and misogyny is another level here. With the older dad generation, it's openly shown and deeply ingrained. With the younger generation, it's the new liberal version of it. And I've yet to come across a married couple whose behaviour doesn't make me want to puke. The men make zero effort, the women are upset but resigned. There are exceptions, but you quickly learn the upper place t…

Wow I thought I was the only one, but since finding FDS I realized my brother is deeply misogynistic, narcissistic and doesn't care about maintaining close relationships. We always had an inkling and hoped he would grow out of it..but 2 weeks after I finished the handbook, I show him my new room decorations and he aggressively calls me a basic bitch several times, and also dumps on my personal possessions with 'I don't give a shit about this, give a shit about that'...all uncalled for. For me, in Hindu culture, if a man is overly religious, it's a big red flag. They tend to care more about looking like they're doing all the rituals instead of taking care of their family. Over the years I have realized, men's affinity to spirituality and God only grows as they grow older .and they use it as an escape to neglect their family responsibilities. Or as a means to oppress their wives. Having never had a positive experience with my own religion, one of my red flags is intense religiou…

The male privilege dripping from this post is too thick to be analysed. He must have been nexted quite a few times for him to lurk online and write pity party essays. The only silver lining is that he knows he can't get queens. Ladies if a man expects you to treat him like a king for something most HVM or decent men do for granted then he has a grandiose complex and a very tiny tiny ego.

With men most of it is jealousy... they're seeing how housewives are portrayed in the media and think, oh this is the life..and they're probably being their lousy selves in the workplace and not getting ahead.. So the natural next step would be to become a house husband to a high powered career woman with maternal feelings and low self esteem, and beguile them into thinking that her supporting him is somehow empowering her. Also any man who spends any more time on video games than required.and i…

The lovebombing, the fact that my self esteem was so low and I was aware of it, and so I thought I deserved shitty treatment in a way, that I was lucky to be with him. This was all pre-FDS, of course, and before I did some serious therapy to rebuild my self esteem, once I was out of the abusive situation. He also said he was bipolar and his depressive cycle started in summer so he got away with a lot of abusive behaviours then. I was naive and I thought I should help him, because my father had t…
