I went on a few dates with this guy a few months back, and on the first date (first time meeting too as we met OLD) he spent a good 20 minutes telling me he used to be married and why he was now divorced. Initially I thought it was a little weird to bring up on a first date, but hey, glad he was open and honest about his past and didn’t leave it unmentioned. But it was a surprise to me as I didn’t realise he’d already been married. I dumped him after two dates as it just wasn’t right (I’d been on two dates, total time of around 4 hours and he was wanting to kiss and pushing for exclusivity) but the more I think about it, the less honest his actions seem. If he’d really been honest, he would have mentioned in his profile that he’s divorced (it specifically asks about marriages/divorced/kids) and he left it blank.

TLDR; a lie by omission is still a lie
