I find people attractive all the time. But that doesn’t mean I want to fuck them. I never want to bang random people. I find the concept of wanting to sleep with someone you don’t actually know really weird. Like celebrities - I’ve never looked at a celebrity and fantasized about them naked or had thoughts of having sex with them. It’s something guys do automatically and I don’t get it. But I suspect that the answer lies in the fact that I recognize that people have inherent value that has nothi…

I lost my virginity in the front seat of a car. No foreplay, no thought to the experience, no care. Afterward, I found out he had a girlfriend. She called me to tell me and told me he confessed to her, and said I was a “dead fish” lay. Like it was MY fault I wasn’t enthusiastic - you literally just poked me dry and expected me to enjoy it, then blamed me for responding appropriately? We both never spoke to him again.

I’m so sorry. You’re doing great. And you know this, but sometimes it helps to hear - it wasn’t your fault.

How long ago was the assault, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s good that you’re in therapy and it’s good that you have a support system. These things have their own timeline for healing. Whatever you’re feeling right now is totally okay. Healing isn’t a straight path, it’s a long and winding road with lots of set backs. Be gentle with yourself.

I unsubscribed from that sub today (and all relationship subs). Every single time I defended women, I’d get downvoted. There are so many mental gymnastics happening there. Recently someone was upset because her sister told her parents about needing an abortion the day before her wedding. Her parents ignored the bride throughout the wedding, which was super shitty, obviously. But everyone called the sister an asshole for needing support for her abortion. Saying she should have waited. Um - an unp…

I mean. I wouldn’t want to be meeting someone new in the middle of the pandemic. But, aside from that it’s keeping you as a warm dish in a buffet. If a guy strings along 10 girls, does the bare minimum, he’ll get his emotional needs met, social interaction needs met, ego stroked, and will probably score some nudes to boot. All while never leaving his stained couch or changing out of his sweatpants. It’s a win/win.

The nature of dating means women don’t need pick up lines. And honestly I hate when men use them. So. Thank you, next.

These threads are cancer on Reddit. One is posted literally every day. I’m over it. Boys are crying because they don’t get compliments, affection, affirmation. But you know who women get these things from? Other women. So if a man wants these things- he has to give these things. Especially to other men. We’re not 100% responsible for all the emotional labor in the world. Also, to the first guy - wash your fucking dick, man.

The only reason a DTR talk would be hard/scary is if you don’t know what he wants. If you don’t know what he wants, he doesn’t want you. It should be crystal clear in his words and actions. If it’s not, it’s time to bounce. And six months? Child, please.

I had a woman on here that I mistook for a man because she was shaming a girl relating to an abortion (she called her a piece of shit for getting pregnant by her ex and not wanting him to know that she was getting an abortion). She did the smug “I’m not a man” gotcha thing. I told her that was worse then - that she’s type of woman to shame another for her choice. I got petty satisfaction from all her downvotes. I get why some women are like that but I have zero patience for that noise.

According to this logic, I can bang six dudes one time each in a month and have a lOOsE pUSsY but it won’t be “loose” if I bang one dude 30 times that same month. Because we all know that it’s not how many times you have sex, it’s how many different dicks you had 🙄

I’ve definitely gotten surprise oral from my current partner. With zero expectations of reciprocation. I’m 41 though and it’s the first time it’s happened. And I love it. I don’t mind giving BJ’s but when I feel it’s expected it’s a huge turn off and it doesn’t happen anymore. It’s not a right, it’s a privilege and should be viewed as such.

People don’t get the whole “love language” thing and use it as an excuse to be a shit human. Yes, your love language is important - but the reason we identify love languages is so we can understand how best to love our PARTNER. The literal title is: The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate It’s about how to love your partner in the way they feel loved. Not an excuse for falling short.

Reddit is awful today. Everyone was calling this woman an asshole for having her mom in the delivery room instead of her husband. Another thread is people ripping a woman who wants to leave her two year old with her husband to care for sick family and he’s “not capable” so it’s her fault of course and what if her baby dies, how would she feel? I have no faith in humanity today.

I said porn and sex work was demeaning and exploitative and riddled with sex traffic victims and someone on a thread a while back was like “have you actually talked to someone in sex work before you decided to be their champion?” Um. I get group sex chats about once a week. I also get “accidental” messages with links to porn. And random “hey” messages that I don’t answer. It’s pretty common unfortunately. I just delete/block/move on. I assume they are bots and aren’t specifically targeting me.

Thank you ❤️ It really is the libfem mentality. It’s dangerous. They act like it’s empowering but it’s abuse. There’s nothing empowering about allowing yourself to be victimized over and over for someone’s sexual pleasure. It’s so demeaning. And if you like it it’s probably some sort of unrealized or processed trauma.

You know, I’ve been reflecting on this a lot lately. I was pretty violently raped when I was 18. I started to sort of crave rough sex because it was violent and it gave me “control”. It was so beyond fucked up and a direct result of my trauma. Then I met a guy and he liked to rough me up and I “liked it”. But then shit started to change. He became more gentle and kind and didn’t like the rough shit anymore. I could SEE him fall in love with me through his actions via sex. The nasty truth is that…

Exactly. The literally cannot image thinking I had the right to tell a partner how to dress, or do their hair or what tattoos they could get. I might have an opinion, but I’d keep it to myself unless asked. And even then, I wouldn’t let them make a choice about their body based on me. The thought is so completely foreign to me. One of the most freeing things a woman can do for herself is realize that SHE provides the closure for herself. By leaving. When I’m on top I can control things much easier - pressure and friction. Also, maybe TMI, but if you’re in top, have your partner place his hand on the small of your back and exert gentle pressure. It works wonders. Also missionary works well for me, too - but the guy has to be a skilled at the art of grinding. It can’t be jackhammering. It’s more circular motions that work.

Someone’s level of comfort with what other people wear on their own bodies? Sis, please. You need to seriously examine why you’d be okay with this. I CAN see the other side that’s rooted in misogyny and the control that men have historically enjoyed over women’s bodies. And I dismiss it. Not all thoughts/opinions/feelings are valid and we should stop collectively treating them as if they are. And IDGAF what my parents wore. They were their own people.

I really could not disagree more. I take pretty serious issue with the mindset that he has the right to be uncomfortable with what she’s wearing. It doesn’t have anything to do with him. It’s her body. He doesn’t own her, and the fact that he thinks he has the right to say anything about it is gross and controlling. I got into yesterday on here because a guy was uncomfortable with his girlfriend’s costume and when she wouldn’t change it he dumped her. Everyone was congratulating him and his boundaries while I said it’s controlling to have “boundaries” about other peoples clothing choices. Sometimes I just really hate boys.

There’s a pretty promising sub that I’ve browsed a bit recently that’s focused on men sort of leveling up. I haven’t dug super deep yet so I don’t want to link, but it’s not all terrible out there.

Just for fun, I put together a small album with problematic openers. Keep in mind, I was only on apps for about two months before I decided it wasn’t worth it. And this was two years ago - pickme days. Here you go!

Even as a woman with the typical “hourglass” figure, I still felt inadequate. I was shamed for showing too much or not enough skin, and overly sexualized from a very young age. I wasn’t taken seriously professionally because I have blonde hair, blue eyes and big tits. You can’t win with people, so I’m focused on “winning” with myself. Because I’m the only one who matters.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/10/20 07:54 PM

Woah. What is happening here? You can be a pickme AND a victim. In fact, the nature of men almost ensures it. Pickme isn’t a value judgement - in fact I’d wager most of us are current or former pickme’s. We live in a society where women are literally conditioned to be pickme’s. It’s spoon fed to us from birth that the best thing that can happen to us is to be picked for marriage. Observing that another woman fell into the common trap isn’t shaming OR blaming her at all. I don’t get that line of …

I was on the purple pill sub discussing abusive relationships. A guy told me that since I had been in a few, I should examine my role in them - why I kept “picking” bad guys. While I don’t necessarily disagree, when we examine our behavior and what we put up with, and decide to raise our standards, then we’re unrealistic and entitled bitches. In that same thread a guy was literally telling girls to lower their standards. We can’t win. It’s our fault if guys abuse/lie/cheat on us. We’re bitches f…

There was a study in 2014 that found its mostly urine but there’s another liquid from something called Skene’s gland that was made up of prostatic acid phosphate. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/323953 It was a pretty interesting study as the bladders were completely empty before masturbation and they filled right up.

I never wanted kids but felt a lot of pressure to after my birth control failed. And I did. While I don’t regret it (my kids are super rad), it’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I’m not a natural at this - it takes a LOT of work for anyone, but especially someone as selfish as I am. All that to say I’m super proud of you for knowing yourself so well and not caving like I did. That’s fantastic!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/10/20 01:53 AM

This always really, REALLY bothered me. I hate the weird humblebrags about literally doing everything regarding parenthood. It’s harmful and normalizes the woman taking the brunt of the child rearing. I have such a weird relationship with motherhood.

I’ve been told my whole life that I’m too much. Everything. Passionate, sensitive, loud, caring, etc. I’m only just now - at 41 - realizing that just because people can’t handle me doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with me. It means they just aren’t the right fit for me. Not just romantically but in other relationships, too. There will be people out there for which I am just enough.

I’ve gotten in so many arguments on Reddit about this sub. The difference between red pillers and us is that we recognize that there are good men out there we discuss how to find them. The other peeps view women as objects not worth anything. If people can’t see the difference there, it’s on them. I’ve wasted enough time trying to defend something to people that just want to argue. Fuck that shit.

As a really casual and small example - the tinder sub. The highest upvoted threads are the ones dragging women and the main goal over there is getting laid. Just because it started as that doesn’t mean it can’t morph into something else. And you can say it’s totally bullshit all you want. It literally doesn’t matter to me. I thought you were genuinely curious so I was trying to be helpful. You want to shit on it, knock yourself out!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/20 06:45 AM

Some do, some are just over it all. FDS isn’t entirely or even mostly about dating. It’s about women working on being the best version of themselves for themselves. If that includes finding a dude, that’s good. If not, that’s good, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/20 06:34 AM
1

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but I don’t think that self reflection is the only or best answer. It’s always good to examine ourselves after a relationship has ended, but blaming a girls “picker” after a bad relationship just smacks of victim blaming to me. There should be personal responsibility at play, absolutely. I don’t think all men are awful, and I’m certainly not bitter about past relationships, but I do think that awful men are celebrated and it’s socially acceptable to be awfu…

Even though I’m now divorced, my ex did most of the heavy lifting during pregnancy and throughout infancy. We split for other reasons, but in that regard he was an excellent partner and is still a fantastic father. I had a male friend mention that women move on rather quickly when they end a relationship. This hasn’t been my experience, but I told him it’s probably because women try TOO hard to make things work that by the time they are done, they are over it all. They’ve already mourned the relationship while still being in it. This was true for my marriage. I wasn’t healed or ready to date, but I was at peace with how things ended.

Girl. He cheated on you. So who gives a fuck what he’s doing now? You certainly shouldn’t. If anything, you should feel badly for the girl he’s with now because he ain’t shit, passively and move on. He’s not worth another thought. It literally doesn’t matter what she has that you don’t or why he does things. All that matters is you getting on with your life. Figuring out what YOU want and how to love yourself. His actions are a reflection of him, not you. Your actions now are a reflection of you…

Are you intentionally misunderstanding me? Of course birth control is amazing and I’m so thankful that it exists and gives women options. Saying that I’m not happy with the side effects, efficacy, and all the other issues doesn’t detract from that. How can we expect to make anything better, ever, if we don’t discuss the issues? But it is a joke as it stands. There are plenty of risks to the pill - and it can be rendered ineffective by putting them in the microwave- with no evidence of tampering. Females aren’t educated when given the pill the vast majority of the time. I was never told that they had to be taken at the same time every day, that it’s not as effective if you’re a bigger girl, that over the counter supplements and other medications can impact its efficacy and SO much more. What’s hilarious is that women do 99% of the “heavy lifting” in relationships. I’d rather be responsible for asking men out, and paying for shit - putting minimal effort into my appearance, emotional availability, chores, parenting, and house admin than what women are expected to do (literally EVERYTHING ELSE). They have it so fucking easy and they bitch about the small bit. Pathetic. If traditional gender roles were switched, they would implode. I’d pay to see that shit. The reality is that wom…

Why are you scared? It doesn’t sound like you’re losing anything of value. In fact, you should be scared of staying and wasting even more time you could be spending focusing on yourself!

I’m happily partnered up, but I used to go out alone a lot. I think it just takes practice. At some point I just stopped caring. I was doing my own thing and it just didn’t matter anymore. Good luck! If it helps at all, if I see a lady out solo, I think, “good for her!”, rather than, “aww poor thing”.

It shouldn’t have taken that to make him back off. No should have been enough.

I ended up homeless, sleeping in my car, which was then stolen (after a kind soul got me a hotel room for the night). With the help of loved ones and friends, I moved into my new place last week.
