Oof. Felt this, too. It’s like when you give them casual and easy, they just salivate because they think that’s what the relationship would be like. It’s casual and easy because I haven’t put the expectations of a relationship on you, guy.

I mean, tbh, one of my spiritual leaders told me, when I expressed my concerns over approaching 30 and not having a partner to have children with, “men are no good until 40. Find one with good genes, have your babies, then leave and wait for your man.” 😂

First and foremost should always be our own healing. We have a saying that’s like, “in order to be a pillar in the community, you must first secure your foundation,” because if we crumble, we cannot be a pillar. And we are all pillars, so that if one of us does fall, the rest of us can keep lifting each other up. Traditionally speaking, my people are slow to marry. We may spend years cohabitating before marriage and have several children before it happens. My family is a family of single mothers…

I take breaks from FDS occasionally because it doesn’t account for the fact that blanket solutions do not fit every person. I’m native and a high value man in my community looks a lot different than high value men outside of it. While I’ve gained a lot of insight in my learning here, it just doesn’t fit everything. And that’s okay! There’s value to be had and seen here, truly. I just wish it was a little more inclusive.

Like there’s a very big part of me that loves sex. Everything about it is great. I’m not ashamed of that at all. But there’s also a big part that now refuses to reward bad behavior. I had my first hookup last night in almost a year and I have no remorse over it. We were both clear about our intentions, he’s older and done with kids, so he’s had a vasectomy, so I saw low risk, high reward. And my lord, did it pay off. Am I going to keep hooking up? Probably not. That kind of honesty is hard to fi…

Lol she said “30 partners over her lifetime” And I said, “welp. I’m /really/ promiscuous, I guess.”

Oof. So as a woman with a high body count, part of it has been due to what has been suggested, the other part is my own lack of accountability and self control. I like sex, to suggest otherwise would be a lie. Do I condone my behaviors? Absolutely not. I’ve chilled out in the last year, but I still miss sex a lot. Like… a lot. But, to get to the part where I’ve been promiscuous in hopes that it would form a long lasting relationship or entered sexual relationships under the impression that it wo…

I wasted 6 years on a man who did commit and ended up being a babysitter for an overgrown toddler Never again, ladies

It’s so irritating! Especially dating right now during a pandemic. I don’t feel good going to restaurants and I don’t trust men to be responsible at all. I work with elders in my community and I work in language revitalization, so if I get sick and pass it on, I would literally be killing an already dying language. These dudes have no appreciation for that and are content to put folks at risk just for a crumb of sex. No perspective, no long term goals, no empathy, no forward thinking at all.

I’m thankful that I had a very strong, independent mother. She had a lot of issues, but teaching me how to open up can-of-whoop-ass was not one of them. She raised me to never start a fight, but sure as hell finish one and to always make sure I came home at night.

I’ve started treating matches and dates like an interview. I’m in my late 20s dating men in their mid-late 20s and 30s... we are youngish, but if you don’t have a solid plan for the next 5 years, you ain’t the one.

So, I’m 6’1”. I’m not like super fit or anything, but I’m pretty strong. I absolutely know when I can whoop a dude (I had a lot of country bumpkin guy friends growing up and we did a lot of country bumpkin things... like fight each other for no reason, and honestly... I’m still a bit of a country bumpkin). There have been a lot of times in my dating life where tickle fights and cutesy shit like that have come up and these dudes are always shocked by how strong I am. So, even their idea of what s…

What’s crazy is that, aside from my dating strategy, literally nothing has changed. I still love my family and loved ones fiercely, I do my part in my community, I’m known as a supportive coworker... it’s just that I’m not delicate with men anymore. Recently I was accused of being hardheaded when I refused to violate my morals. I pride myself on my integrity and men seem to think that being unshakable is a challenge to break. I had one of my friends read a message exchange between myself and the…

Oof. Felt. I’ve been very steadfast in treating men the way they’ve treated me. It’s really interesting how I’ve gone from being “sweet and loving” to “a cold hearted bitch” over the last few years. Oh, well. Sucks to suck, fuckers.

I have a friend who did end of life care and no longer does for this exact reason. Folks who don’t understand how traumatic watching so many people die, naturally or not, probably need some deep psych evals. I’m proud of her, as well. Nurses are very special kinds of folk and I can’t imagine how hard it is to be ok when you aren’t.

As an over 6’ tall woman, I can confirm you can be tall and have a personality.

I’ve been explicitly single since November 2019. A few guys have come around, but none really worth the dive. I’ll stay single until I don’t want to be anymore, end of story.

Honestly not much to tell, but the one that made me most uncomfortable was a guy with a multimillion company who invited me out to a cabin in the Rockies as a first date (we live in the Midwest). Yeah... like I’m really going to go out into the wilderness with a complete stranger... Another was an actor whose hometown was close to mine and he came back because Hollywood shut down. He was boring and thought his career was a personality. I ghosted him pretty quickly. When I was younger I was being…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
