Yea exactly this! In my teens and early twenties the guys my age had a normal, healthy sexuality. But now in my early thirties, the same age group guys are ruined by porn. It’s so depressing !

This is amazing. Excellent translation into English. And even better into scrote-speak. This is 100% accurate.

Yes this is exactly what I thought! None of it is actually about her as an individual. Only her as some kind of replaceable trope in his mind.

Hahaha no I don’t think so. He is into mostly independent artists that I have never heard of. And I don’t think he even knew what they looked like half the time.

I am also tired of getting shitty advice from my therapist. She is good about a lot of stuff, except about men. She is totally not FDS and seems quite libfem borderline pick me at times. I spoke to her about how I was attacked by a man on the street for not talking to him (see my post history for full story) and she first started asking questions about him trying to understand him and what would make him act that way. I’m like IDGAF! And then she goes on to tell me that when she used to live in …

Fortunately I can say my ex is like this. He is a very talented musician himself, and he listens to a lot of independent female artists and often raved about their talent and recommended them to me. Definitely a green flag. Shame it is so rare that it stands out as noteworthy.

My Mum did this in the 90s and worked full time. The FDS podcast does a great bit on boomer relationship dynamics and how this really fucked us up. Most guys my age saw their mothers working AND doing all the cooking, cleaning, childcare, and pandering to husbands etc, and this is what they think relationships/marriage/family is supposed to be like. They saw mothers do everything for them as little baby kings and as well as everything for their fathers as big baby kings. And this is how they und…

It’s so vile and depressing laying next to a guy desperately pulling himself off trying to get hard. This shit did not happen 15 years ago. (And I was laying next to guys in my 20s then and still am now 😂) Nothing turns me off more. Last time I just got up and left.

Yes! I am currently on a weekend break alone and it is great. Doing whatever I want, whenever, enjoying my own company. And each time I’m sitting at a restaurant alone, if I ever get nostalgic for a partner, I just take a look at the couples around me to see their bored faces and lack of conversation and remember that it’s much worse to be lonely in a couple than to be happy alone.

I totally agree. I’m in my early 30s and even the difference now compared to 15 years ago when I started having sex in my late teens is shocking! The guys I dated in my late teens/early 20s were a bit clueless and the usual self centered man stuff, but overall they were decent guys and they all made an effort in bed. Importantly, they could get hard and stay hard and have nice normal sex. I am constantly shocked at the difference 15 years has made. I came out of a very long term relationship and…

I actually ended up in a threesome with my (formerly) good friend and her now husband when I was in my early 20s. It is to this day one of the only sexual experiences that really felt non-consensual. I had briefly lived with them and he used to make sleazy jokes about wanting to fck me, like at night he’d say ‘we’re off to bed... you coming?’ And shit like that. I’d been living abroad a couple of years and I’d just come home and was having a hard time readjusting, and I went out with some friend…

Thank you sis! 🙏❤️ I guess our self perseveration response kicks in and knows innately what is best and at that moment it was just to get away. Even as I was walking away I was still braced for him to come after me and hit me or something... I’m glad in the end that throughout the whole thing I never gave him a second of my attention or energy, which is what these vampires are looking for.

If I’m in a serious relationship with a man who I love and who treats me well, he can get all the cuddles and hair stroking he wants. And it is always reciprocal. But when these guys curl up on you in the early stages of dating and expect this treatment it’s just 🤢

Had a guy once who curled up and put his head in my lap when we were on the couch on the first date. I tried to tell myself it was sweet 🤡. Come to think of it this has happened more than once with more than one dude. When we curl up or lie down together somewhere and it’s always them wanting to rest their head on me and get their hair stroked or whatever. Always leaves me feeling like mummy to a big man baby. Such a turn off, especially when you’re not in a serious relationship with the guy and…

I had a interesting experience of this recently. It was during lockdown and I had started dating this guy who I knew wasn’t at my level and had problems (overweight, unemployed, uneducated, emotionally immature, unaccountable), but he was good to talk to and he was really into me, so I overlooked all the red flags. I think the fact it was lockdown and the middle of winter made a big difference because there was literally nothing to do and nowhere to go, so we would spend time together talking on…

Thanks sis 🙏 And I totally agree re subservient images if women in porn. It’s often certain types of men too, those who don’t have much power of their own in the world, yet because of patriarchy get to believe that at least they are still better than women, and so try to cut them down to validate their own pathetic selves.

Seriously. The shock of it is half! Like literally on my lunch break next to my building getting some food like I do every single day and this shit happens. I am determined not to let it affect me, but there is some part of you that loses the feeling by of safety that you used to have in familiar places after incidents like this. And that is the worst fucking part, not jsut the attack which is over in a moment, but the undermining of our confidence to be in public spaces.

I love that you manage to get back at this guy and throw him off guard! I don’t know what happened today, but it went from noticing him to walking past him to feeling the pain and shock of what he threw at me in a matter of seconds, and somehow in that time I computed that it was not a good idea to hang around and test whether that violence would escalate. It is irrelevant what the guy wanted. It is not any woman’s responsibility to be available to random men on the street whenever they want it. And this example just proves that we should listen to our intuition. You think somehow things would have gone differently if I had stopped and talked to him? He would have politely complimented me on my outfit or wished me a nice day and let me go on my way? Also there’s a reason he’s choosing to accost the young woman alone on the street, and not any olde…

« In a judgement handed down on Tuesday, she said Mr Bhoola had shown "no insight" into his actions. I moved country twice for my ex. The first time I was working and living abroad and we were doing long distance. He made it clear there was no way he would move there, so I moved back to my home country where he was living (not his home country) so we could be together. Then less than a year later he gets a great job offer in his home country. Of course I say he should go for it and I will follow him there in 8 months (when I finish my masters), even though I didn’t speak the language fluently (…

Just read this anecdote casually in a book about habits and I had to stop I was so disgusted. Firstly the idea that men are so disgusting that they can’t keep their urine in a straight line and not all over the floor in a public, shared place. But worse that the only way to encourage them to do so was to let them think that they were aiming their urine stream at an insect, and essentially would be killing that living creature by drowning it in piss. What the actual fuck? And the weirdest feeling…

Yes!! This is my new #1 most important green flag that I just realised. I feel like society has always drilled into me that I can’t have it all, that I need to settle, that a nice guy is good enough. So I would go out with guys that were not on my level and always secretly feel ashamed and embarrassed of them. If I can be both nice and a high achiever with goals and ambitions who pushes myself constantly, why is it so unrealistic to expect to be with a guy who is at least on the same level as me…

I have been in this relationship more than once and it was horrible. Feeling like a bitch for continuously asking for the same bare minimum over and over again. I réaliséd in the end it was because I made my own life so fucking great, coming up with interesting plans and things to do, places to go, holidays or lovely evenings at home. He wanted in on the amazing life I was created for myself, rather than creating his own life and adding value to my life. I realise now that these men were actuall…

I totally agree about rejection in sex vs in love and being valued. I think what’s interesting about men being rejected when it comes to sex is because of their sense that they are entitled to sex. That they are entitled to women’s bodies, which exist only to serve men’s sexual pleasure. And that’s why the rejection could lead to violence because it is actually about control and entitlement. If men didn’t feel any entitlement to access and control women’s bodies, there would be less sense of rej…

Men are not violent against women because the poor things never got enough emotional education. Men are violent against women when they see women as objects that men can own and control for their own pleasure and satisfaction. An idea that is reinforced almost everywhere in society, especially through pornography. And when women dare to assert ourselves that we are human beings and not objects purely for men’s needs and egos, this makes men angry. It is control not hurt feelings that makes men v…

Yeah I wouldnt really call that ‘advice’. Not sure what exactly the point of a message like that is. Perhaps you could have tried to share your approach to phone calls or something? I find this to be not very constructive in comparison to the usual FDS community vibe. It’s not a lack of confidence and I have no issue in managing my Queen energy with men. I also know what you mean and agree it would be wonderful to be able to attract people more broadly. But I don’t think it’s a packaging problem. What’s the deal with guys on OLD who immediately want to move off the app onto WhatsApp or something? I like to keep my own messaging channels and accounts for people I’ve actually met in real life. If we go on a date, and I want to see you again, then you can have my phone number. Mostly just to keep my inbox tidy and not full up of dudes I never met in the end. Hmm idk. There are lots of posts of ‘why don’t people like us’ about this sub. My response is, why does it matter? If anything, the strong reaction we generate is an indicator of just how powerful we are becoming and how much of a potential we have to really challenge the shitty status quo. Let the people who disagree with us hate us. And even ‘disagree’ just means they are caught up one or two points and can’t move past it to actually engage critically with what we are saying. If you have a letter box in the foyer downstairs or a name plate at or near your front door, add two surnames to it (yours and a made-up name) so that it looks like you’re living with one other person (who could be a man..). My ex moved out of our flat and it still stays MY-NAME/HIS-NAME on the letterbox downstairs. It’s a small thing but I prefer other people in the building and delivery people etc not knowing I’m alone.

I find mostly that the guys know what to do to seduce and court a woman... they know how to plan a date and ask a girl out, with a time, placed location etc. The end goal is often the same as anywhere else... just to get the woman into bed, and after this they can start with the same old shitty behaviour. But at least they aren’t completely hopeless in the process like so many of the stories I read on this sub... Also ‘the chase’ is a real thing in dating culture here, and it is considered very …

Absolutely. Absolutely yes. I watched my mother get treated like shit by my father and two older brothers my whole life. I have this confused relationship with LVM because I grew up loving them despite their behaviour as they were family... and developed this idea that deep down they were just sad broken men who could be fixed. This was made for me! Googling to see what it was and whether it could be ‘fixed’ maybe if I just tried hard enough. I found out that ‘it’ was Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Thankfully the advice was no, it definitely can’t be fixed and to block, delete and go no contact. Which I did and never looked back. And was probably the first step toward FDS. And googling is also how I found FDS! But never again googling men’s behaviour. Just regularly checking in on this sub to make sure I keep this …
