i think it's just crabs in a bucket mentality with this particular girl. she's the one who actually gets to see her man on a regular basis, they're not dealing with the same issues that you and i would be in our respective ldr's. the tweets about men in their 20's being trash seem like total projection though. agree about not wanting texts every other second, i'm not interested in dating a clingy loser who has nothing else going on in his life. and finances can be rough but it's still possible t…

i recently stopped talking to a 'friend' who made snarky comments about my ldr. 'why don't you text every day??' 'why doesn't he visit you more??' ughhh good riddance. she also makes lots of passive aggressive posts about NEVER being able to date a man her own age. (her bf is way older, mine is a couple of years younger than i am)

it seems like a lot of ladies are very vocal about their love or hatred of makeup. (ie, social media posts about being addicted to sephora, or feminist rants about makeup being oppressive) rpw is probably one of the few places where i've seen women be somewhat neutral on the topic. i wouldn't say i'm completely disinterested in beauty. i've gotten better at doing my own hair and nails, and kind of enjoy it. skincare is important too.

i don't consider doing makeup one of my hobbies. it's a way to make myself look more presentable and nothing more

a more unpopular opinion: french manicures in general are kinda pointless. i could just file my nails, put topcoat on and call it a day.

STOP BROW SHAMING ME WOMAN. jk. i have naturally thick brows but feel way more feminine when i thin them out. sorry not sorry. i don't like black or purple lipstick either. i have a lot of strong feelings about chokers (they are tacky and need to be set on fire)

chunky sweaters, colorful leggings lol, not in canada during a polar vortex. there have been days when i've had to wear leggings under sweatpants, yes i'm cringing at myself but it was -20 with windchill. also, no one sees my cute sweaters when they're covered by parkas. any recommendations for super warm winter coats that are less bulky? canada goose is really popular in my city, but i find their jackets too plain for my tastes. a co-worker recommended eddie bauer. winter fashion is my least fa…

you can't be a feminist rpw. i see so many of these types of posts on the old sub and it's annoying. there are so many other communities for feminists, and yet they insist on barging into this one. why?? netflix isn't worth the monthly subscription fee. someone will probably fight me over this

i hate pinterest. the layout of it is so ugly. halloween is my least favorite holiday, i usually don't celebrate it at all. i don't believe in astrology food porn is mostly unappetizing to me. i would never spend thousands of dollars on a wedding. i'm approaching the wall and still have zero desire to have a kid.

i kind of hate this article. but i've never wanted an elaborate wedding/$3k dress, and i see no point in acting like a princess/celeb during an anniversary celebration. ew. i do think i'll keep my wedding dress and make an effort to stay the same size though.

i'm grateful for the heart to heart talks i've gotten to have with my bf lately. (no, i didn't force him to talk about feels, it's just that our conversations have been more deep and less silly/playful than normal, and i appreciate that side of him) i'm grateful that work is easy today, i can pretty much relax and drink all the tea (i have a cold) i'm grateful for this sub, even though i haven't posted in months. i still read it daily.

it's just a really common excuse used by people who have completely given up on their physical appearance. for instance, i have polycystic ovarian syndrome and one of the side effects of this condition is weight gain. nevertheless i've managed to stay at a healthy weight by reducing my carb and sugar intake....it doesn't even have to be as extreme as counting calories.

it's great for introverts too. (i am talking about actually taking the time to read each other's profiles and write personalized messages, not apps where you're just aimlessly clicking left and right)

could take or leave the part about swearing. i think my so would be more weirded out by me using old fashioned euphemisms than hearing the occasional curse word. he's never said that he considers swearing a turn off, and i would know if it was after nearly 4 years of dating. i do the rubber band thing sometimes but mainly for anxiety. i could also try it for complaining! i'm not a huge gossiper and my social circle is pretty small anyway.

ew ew ew. op i've been in this situation. wasting the pretty on an unambitious, out of shape loser who also liked nerdy low value chicks and would get overly defensive of them and put them on pedestals... the reason was that he was cheating on me with them. now, hopefully this isn't your situation but i have no idea what kind of girl game this other woman has, so i'm assuming she's a plate to him because it doesn't sound like she has any redeeming qualities. there was a lot of emphasis on girl game related goals, which is why the threads were posted in rpw and not /r/GetMotivated or /r/getdisciplined and the like. however, no one is stopping you from including some general self-improvement stuff (or chores that you've been putting off) on your list.

i'm not happy with the popularity of 50 shades because it's poorly written twilight fanfiction. i don't think there's anything erotic about it and i couldn't make it through the entire trilogy. there are certain aspects of it that make me uncomfortable. not in a feminist 'this book promotes rape culture' way but i found christian to be way too controlling outside the bedroom and pretty insecure. /u/Calla_ i was under the impression that the predominantly female fans of the series are the ones su…

greater tendency towards introspection? also LOTS of us are t-types rather than f-types, which is less common among women. there are a few active members who are extroverts but i haven't seen any esfj's which seems to be the 'stereotypical female' personality that probably wouldn't be interested in self-improvement.

being a mature, committment-minded woman doesn't mean you can't be fun and youthful. you're only 22! smile more, flirt more, and act girly and carefree around guys you're interested in. regarding his use of the term love, you already know that it's slang that's specific to his culture and has nothing to do with romantic interest. but this guy sounds like a player...met on tinder...not exclusive after 4 months...move on. make a list of the things that you're insecure about, try to do as much as y…

you're right, i missed that part when i originally read her post. but considering how prevalent hookup culture is these days, it doesn't MATTER whether she's sleeping with those guys or not. she will be judged for her actions, and the judgement will not be in her favor. a high value woman may be approached by multiple men but that doesn't mean she needs to say yes to all of them. courting is just a nice way of saying orbiting...i'm not sure why you insist that seeing multiple men at once is comp…

it's a vague term. op didn't specify whether she's sleeping with them or not....men would probably assume she is (and not see her as gf material) i think the rpw version of casual dating is finding ONE man that you are interested in, going on dates with him, and seeing if he's interested in a monogamous ltr. we don't encourage women to maintain harems of orbiters or fwb partners.

:/ personally, i would find that fetish a dealbreaker. you're not married to the guy, you've tried to participate in these activities, and you find them gross. that won't magically change if you end up marrying him...does he have any other fetishes that are more enjoyable for you?

facebook is honestly not a big deal. my bf got rid of his profile years ago and hasn't made a new one, although i've jokingly asked him to in the past... eventually i stopped asking because 1) it sounds like nagging 2) i don't even like facebook anymore 3) there is no real value in being able to 'show off' my relationship on any form of social media. i am happy with my man and don't need external validation from random acquaintances. a man who doesn't use facebook seems more intellectual/indepen…

taylor's new song is meant to be satire, but we have previously discussed 'all about that bass' and many other pop songs aren't rp friendly. you can easily explore new musical genres with spotify, 8tracks, last.fm etc. if you really prefer pop, try going back to the early 2000's or even the 90's. make your own positive playlists on itunes or whatever media player you use. as for tv, you can make an effort to be a more critical viewer. but you're probably better off gradually decreasing your tv c…

these things have zero impact on your ability to be a good wife. they are sometimes seen as 'slut tells' on single women, but obviously that doesn't matter to your husband if he loves the tattoos and piercings and actively encouraged you to get more. masculine attitudes and behaviour are bigger turn-offs to men, so keep working on your inner girl game.

You had a great deal of respect for yourself. i don't understand why you came to that conclusion. her story is nothing but daddy issues and sex being used as a validation tool. op says she briefly thought about committing suicide because she was ASHAMED of her own behaviour. how on earth does that describe a self-respecting and confident woman?

if your so was actually in a car accident, it's not unreasonable for him to reject you sexually while he's recovering. but your reasons for initiating sex are kind of selfish. your post doesn't suggest that you want to make his recovery more pleasant, it is pure validation-seeking behavior on your part (the number of times you use 'i' in your post is quite telling) and you need to work on your self-esteem issues as well. btw, try to seduce him rather than 'persuade' him.

i was referring to Why should he hang stuff up before going to bootcamp? i think what i was getting at is that women may not realize how much feminism they have been exposed to through various forms of media and educational settings (especially if they attend university) and think feminism is an outdated movement that's not a significant part of their lives. also i don't think the increase of narcissism is caused by feminism. sorry, but i disagree. manosphere bloggers realize that the current state of gender relations (outside of rp relationships) is hostile. they make plenty of references to the 'battle of the sexes' in their writing. this isn't quite as simple as feminists making themselves unattractive. complaints from men about not being able to find a decent woman for an ltr or marriage are common. even non-feminist women have become less feminine and more entitled/narcissistic/sassy/etc...

i think we should be aware of the reasons why we dislike feminism rather than blindly dismissing it or refusing to read the news at all. mothers should recognize the dangers of feminism, and educate their children on the matter. i enjoy the anti-feminist blogger janet bloomfield (judgybitch) and her responses to the women's issues that mainstream media focuses on. would like to find some other blogs that are similar.

being in a long-distance relationship does make me more aware of my own hypergamy, unfortunately. it is particularly noticeable when we don't get a chance to speak often. i really have to remind myself that i don't enjoy casual dating, nor do i want to 'branch swing' into another ltr. some things that help me: being humble about my flaws and not thinking i deserve a much higher status man keeping a list of my man's positive qualities that make me feel lucky to be with him appreciating the fact t…

okay, some of those aren't entirely hideous, they're the sort of legs a woman might have during winter, illness etc. but there is nothing SEXY or EMPOWERED about them. a couple of them could easily be mistaken for men's legs...(oh noes i must be ~hair shaming~) i don't exactly enjoy shaving (and don't have a high enough pain tolerance to wax) but i'm not dating someone who claims to love 'the natural look' so i do make an effort to keep the hair trimmed.

i like lean looking men, but slightly muscular arms are nice. i'm not a fitness freak so i don't want to be with someone who considers the gym his second home. both my bf and i work out but we do it somewhat sporadically and hate routines. really indifferent towards tattoos. i am dating a man with a small tattoo on his bicep and it really hasn't had an impact on my attraction to him although it's a pretty tacky design. i think you should take a short break from men until your move. don't try to convince this guy to date you, stay away from tinder, and keep yourself occupied with other activities until you start college. it's only a month, that won't turn you into a spinster cat lady lol. when you do get to college, be more aware of comments that indicate a guy is really disinterested in anything long-term and come up with a polite response to them as /u/sugarcrush has suggested. the rest of her advice is good …

tumblr is definitely more oriented towards sjw types. the written posts about femininity and rpw values are typically found on wordpress blogs and in this sub. creating a tumblr and filling it with nothing but original content can be rewarding for some people but i feel like it's not the most productive use of one's time. a lot of us try to limit our social media usage for that reason. if you just want to look at pretty girly stuff pinterest can be a better place for it. how often do you 'ask' him to cut back on drinking? and how is your tone, honestly? he may perceive it as nagging and that's probably turning him off a lot. has he actually been diagnosed with depression? if so, he should probably be seeing a therapist rather than self-medicating. maybe he's not low t, and treating the depression will improve his sex drive.

see, my idea of a serious relationship is one that's at least 1 and a half to 2 years, so doing the math....yikes. of course, if she's been sleeping around, her idea of serious may be a few months at best. then it's less questionable but she's still a plate more likely than not. she needs to move on and try to avoid plate status in her college dating life.

i really think that considering his history of trust issues, trying an ldr doesn't seem reasonable. he will worry and get jealous about you meeting other men at college. also the age gap sounds a bit too large, you are a teenager (unless you took time off after high school?) and he's a divorced man. you're not quite in the same place in life and have different levels of maturity, even if he married at a young age. this relationship has very little chance of surviving. sorry.

when you're at a smaller school that only has 2 national sorority chapters, and one local sorority it's harder to find a group you connect with. the women i met at the recruitment events seemed lovely and polite, and really did emphasize their charity work and academic requirements. but i didn't feel an instant sense of belonging to their sisterhood. and although rush events were dry, these girls were also organizing unofficial keggers on the side so it really made me think twice about being one…

not speaking from rp theory but a lot of alcoholics tend to minimize/deny their excessive drinking habits so i can't see that working out too well for them. she has to make the decision to quit drinking on her own. if it's a really serious problem (ie, she is self-destructive when she drinks) maybe he can drag her into aa or something but that's a last resort. if he just hates the weight gain from beer, maybe gently steering her towards lower carb drinks could help.

they pretend to like femininity (yay tacky makeup and unflattering fashion!!) but call selfies of athletic and attractive women 'acts of war'. stay at home moms are viewed with both subtle and overt hostility. feminine attitudes are replaced by crudity and sarcasm. and so on. third wave feminism offers women an illusion of choice while promoting conformity to feminist norms.

it's actually legal for women to walk around topless here but shockingly enough, i have never seen a woman take advantage of this hard-earned right. how can feminists write countless essays about the "dangers of the male gaze" while also engaging in these campaigns? ridiculous. heterosexual men will not magically stop being aroused by naked women and most likely don't care about those women's motivations for being naked. edit: typo

there's a lot psychological research that states that couples who co-habit are less likely to end up getting married, are quicker to divorce, etc. i would be hesitant about moving in before marriage although i've done the extended visit thing and vacationed with my bf once.

i like rounded and trimmed nails, usually natural but sometimes i will put polish on. i'm not the greatest at doing a proper manicure so i go to a salon for that. if you wanted to use tumblr as a private blog you could actually make your posts private. i think there are certain productive uses for tumblr, although there aren't many of them. for instance, if you had any artistic inclinations tumblr could serve as a portfolio for your work. or you can browse it for decor ideas/recipes/fashion inspiration without reblogging anything. he does openly say he was attracted to his future wife because of her bicurious tendencies, and he does want threesomes, as you said in your other post. and yes these thoughts are extremely common among men. but it doesn't seem like the best example of 'average straight male' thought because they (most likely) don't want their woman to be poly or to leave them for another woman. still an interesting read though.
/r/RedPillWomen01/05/14 09:39 PM

this scenario is about a fully polyamorous relationship. wanting to date two women and expecting that they will be in love with him and each other. he also says in the comments that he's okay with his wife dating another man. this isn't really the typical straight man threesome fantasy. i don't know of many men who are turned on by the thought of their gf/wife having romantic feelings for another woman.

blue pillers have poor reading comprehension skills. they have such a hard time understanding that 1) we chose to become rpw and are not saying that women should have no agency whatsover in romantic relationships 2) we're not uneducated full-time housewives 3) most of us seem to be agnostic or atheist. instead they rely on lazy snark and 'wow just wow' statements to feel superior. go outside you nerds.

i think there's some 'slut guilt', they may have wanted to have fun in their youth and are trying to overcompensate by acting frigid with a more serious partner. but also they may have not enjoyed their threesomes and whatnot? i don't think there's anything wrong with a woman realizing what her sexual boundaries are. some fantasies are better left as fantasies tbh.

yeah acceptance is one thing but happiness seems excessive. since we're in an ldr, i take advantage of every opportunity we have for physical intimacy. now, if i had been denying him sex i'd be happier to catch him watching porn than to catch him cheating but it's still nothing to be thrilled about.

sure i could see that. i'm actually not big on feels (intp personality type here) but his ex gf was very jealous so he probably had to show a lot of restraint in that relationship and that influenced the way he interacts with me.
/r/RedPillWomen22/03/14 06:13 PM

it wasn't a source of conflict. we were having a regular conversation, the subject of porn came up, we discussed it openly and it hasn't come up since then. he felt shy about telling me because it was somewhat early in the relationship. hence my use of admitted. i think you're overanalyzing that a tiny bit. i guess it's hard for me to believe that a man who never showed much of an interest in casual hookups and has a slightly low sex drive is very interested in seeing strange. i'm sure it still …

there's a difference between being the feminist beta male who claims he 'hates porn cause it's degrading' (hard to believe and also unattractive) and just consuming porn in small quantities.

okay here is an example. a regular man may argue with his gf/wife but still find himself turned on by her. would a demisexual man just completely lose interest in the woman during an argument? would that destroy his emotional attraction and make him unable to continue sleeping with her? sorry if it's a silly question, demisexuality is so uncommon and i've never seen anyone try to apply rp to it before!

unpopular opinion: you don't need to banish every single feminist thought you may have. just make sure to ditch the loudmouthed, shrill behavior and sloppy, masculine appearance that is commonly associated with feminists. i don't think anyone in this sub currently identifies as a feminist but many of us come from that kind of background. we may even sympathize with the feminists on certain issues. and your self-worth shouldn't be derived from your ability to act rp. that being said, you can make…

i don't know about it being ideal, i think many rp individuals consider sex important and would not know how to act in a relationship with someone who identifies as demisexual or asexual. in theory, rpw might be interested in a demisexual man. especially if they are looking for a husband with a low past partner count. in reality....hard to say, maybe lack of preselection would lower his perceived value.

i've done it with my ex and my current bf. the ex seemed way more interested in the video than me, and it was a depressing experience. i felt extremely isolated from him and not turned on. it wasn't even jealousy exactly, it's just the fact that he seemed to take it too seriously? for instance, we were watching an 'instructional' type of video once and it made me giggle, which made him get sulky. ughhh i am so glad i'm no longer with him. current bf just sees it as a form of foreplay, and also d…

my boyfriend doesn't really enjoy porn. he has admitted to watching it on rare occasions when we first started dating, but usually prefers to think about me/look at pictures of me. yes, that sounds like snowflaking but i trust him, and i've spent enough time with him to know he doesn't have a hidden porn stash. he was also really shy/hesitant about losing his virginity. i think if he was raised on porn, he would have been less anxious and may have tried to imitate moves he saw on screen. persona…

not responding to the troll but i feel like i've seen this topic here before, and i actually do want to discuss it. a lot of rp people will say that same sex relationships aren't their concern and that reproductive strategies don't really apply to them which is true to an extent. however i do believe that there's no such thing as a 100% egalitarian relationship. a lesbian couple will still have a more dominant woman and a more submissive woman. they can figure out which one is the first mate and…

i think misrepresentation is more of an issue than short hair itself. also you do have to wonder about her reason for cutting her hair (or making any other drastic changes in appearance like getting a tattoo) sometimes it's just a matter of wanting to experiment with new looks or giving in to peer pressure. other times, it may signal underlying emotional problems. i haven't read the comments either but this article is nothing special. she's certainly not the first female author to have regrets about her promiscuity. yes, she recommends husband hunting but admits to using tinder, being a party girl etc. your future husband is NOT on tinder. it would be really rare to read an article on xojane (or jezebel) that says 'i didn't sleep around in college, i don't regret it and i would strongly encourage other women to do the same' ...sigh.
