I can see you don't like being told you have a LV interest, but think long and hard about whether being interested in other people's dirty laundry is HV or LV

Imagine watching a show about the lives of complete strangers ... I know the truth hurts but being obsessed with gossip for entertainment is pretty low value, no matter how normalised it has become
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/01/22 09:39 AM

Right and what I'm saying is that keeping up with the gossip of strangers, or gossip in general, is low value. Life your life how you want... just know that you have low value hobbies like using the gossip of other people's lives as entertainment...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/01/22 09:36 AM

The fact that you follow all these nonsense doesn't exactly say HVW. Spend the time you spend learning about strangers' gossip on learning a skill.

Also, just for interest, go look up "The Evolution of Trust"... Good explanation of game theory and what strategy works best in this situation 😂

Well done my friend :) another suggestion: just a baby crying for like 6 hours

Invest in an impressive stereo system and then play one of those YouTube channels that's list 6 hours of construction sounds... hammering and drilling etc... make sure you have a subwoofer. Put it on, go out for the evening.

I knew a guy with only female friends. Men could see he was a whiner. Some women fell for the sadsack routine. All in all: a covert narcissist.

Think of how many men go to Thailand every year for sex tourism. Lots of pedos out there unfortunately :(

I had one stare at me blankly when I said one of my best friends had terminal, aggressive cancer. Then as I was talking about the friend he looked bored and when I asked him if I should talk about something else he looked visibly relieved and said yes. Later on he called it my friend's strange disease"

Exactly... just because someone has Asperger's and severe childhood trauma doesn't mean they have to be an asshole with antisocial tendencies... my favourite thing this guy said to me? Said Tarantino films are comedies and then when I said only to psychopaths, said "I HAVE ASPERGER'S, BITCH".... cool....

Read attachment theory. If someone is secure they're not going to chase.
/r/askFDS21/07/21 12:01 PM

I think there's an unfortunate confounding variable when we hold out for a long time, and that's that the only sorts of guys willing to chase for that long are avoidants... Secure men will walk away a lot sooner than that. It's worth reading about attachment theory...

I have not seen him interact with any female friends like this, no... but he's not particularly close with the ones I know and see him interact with.... No plans to pursue... how to show him I'm available? I mean if the backrub was a move, I just sort of took it.... I have no idea how to flirt... at all... I have definitely been blinded by crushes before... but this crush arises from the fact that he keeps on doing nice things for me... What do I do? Just wait for the next backrub?

I do like him. I just don't know how to respond to any of this... Unless he just straight up kisses me I am always going to think dudes aren't into me.

Also hilarious is that she thinks she's high value but then her life revolves around taking high angled selfies and telling other women to get Botox and hair extensions...

She finds guys on tinder who have actual things going for them and match based on looks and whatever bullshit she writes and then after one or two dates they ghost.. and then IRL these absolute crapbags throw themselves at her. It's actually hilarious.

Yeah I used to have one like that. Guys used to throw themselves at her but it wasn't all guys... Just the garbage. She'd get ghosted by decent ones or they'd be repulsed in the first place

The guys I've worked with that have later turned out to be pedophiles... seemed like the nicest guys in the world. It's messed up. One of them was raping his own mute, disabled stepdaughter (which seems to be why he pursued his wife in the first place). Fucked up.

Regarding the admirable profession... I'm a teacher, generally regarded as admirable, and I've worked with a fair few men who have later been brought up on child porn/pedophile charges......

That having been said, I live in Stockholm and came from England and that's the standard with everyone. Women aren't friendly here, men aren't friendly... They are social when they're drunk and then ghost you, friend or lover, the next day. It's fucking weird.

" assertiveness, extraversion, charisma and confidence " - so like a narcissist? I'd be wary as f of those sorts of dudes... but also, most dudes like that are just faking confidence anyway and they see assertive, extraverted, charismatic and confident women as a threat... if you're next to them, they worry people will see they're faking everything, not as great as they seem to be, and thus, it's unattractive to them

I was dating a guy and on date three we were at a costume party with mutual friends and he pulled me in the bathroom, asked me to unzip his costume, and proceeded to pee in front of me. Then, as he was doing so, he told me he was a "free bird" and wasn't "into commitment". Then later on, while holding my hand, he started hitting on my friend and when I said something he told me to "stop cockblocking" him. I'm better now. Hopefully he's dead.

Nice guys don't say pump and dump, regardless of how they were treated. Nice guys don't talk about "pumping" women.

About 2 years ago I blocked this guy that I met through meetup group because he clearly hated me and other women and was super creepy. Not coincidentally he's friends with a bunch of other guys who are known for harassing women. Without me knowing a guy I know added these creeps to my new meetup group and this one immediately started saying sexist and profane things that the women immediately started complaining about. I blocked him from the group but he showed up anyway bringing with him anothe…

The "does it work?" thing.... what's the metric? Today some pickmeisha called FDS a group of incels.... and I thought no... we're voluntarily celibate (in some cases) rather than opening our legs for some imbecile. Here's why I think FDS works: not because it gets you a man, because who the fuck needs one. FDS works because you stop caring if you have a man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/20 03:27 PM
16

If women could stop being pickmeishas, LVM and NVM would HAVE to step up their game and evolve and it would be less shit for all of us... hell, it would be a less shit planet. But also, realistically, a lot of men would be unwilling to do the work and would just join incel forums in droves and commit a lot of violence.

I (used to) know a guy who works at a gas station, lives with his parents, hasn't finished university, is a videogame addict and legitimately thinks he's better than me (four university degrees, full time job running a department at a well known private school, own my own apartment, etc). Instead of texting her at night again, ask her on a clear and unambiguous date (ask her if you can take her on a date and take her to dinner sometime). I should point out that you should not ask her to hang out, go for a walk, a coffee, or a drink - ask her on a legitimate dinner out and pay for it. If she says no, there you go. There's a high probability that she does think you're a hookup guy and is turned off by the fact that you're coming across as low value. Asking for a date confidently is…

It's been about 20 years since I saw a Cosmo magazine but do they still print "25 ways to please your man" on every cover? I wonder if this woman actually buys into this or she's just happy to have some shit job in publishing that pays 25000 USD a year because the job market is so bad for journalism grads that this is marginally better than unemployment... Well, first of all, consent can be revoked halfway through sex... let's say you get your written consent.... she can change her mind after she signs the document at any time. That's why you're the first person on planet earth to suggest such a thing and why there isn't a booming market for lawyers that specialise in sex contracts. If you don't trust women, consider if you should be having sex with them and maybe buy a fleshlight.

Hey there - I also got in a relationship with an abusive narcissist, and when I ended it he also stalked me. Step one: google narcissism and gaslighting, learn more and realise it's not you, it's him. Also, narcissists would adopt a new strategy if theirs wasn't successful in some way... they've learned, consciously or subconsciously, to use your own brain chemistry against you. Smart women get drawn in and get murdered by them alllllllll the time. Don't fool yourself into thinking he'd never ha…

"wants all of their girl friends to be in the same miserable boat that they are" - bingo. All these people who rushed into marriage with whoever they were dating at 27 ... The validity of their lives depends on convincing themselves and those around them that they made the right choice. Happy single people around them must be very very difficult when they're dealing with the terrible decisions they made in their 20s

At 42 I've met a lotttt of men, been friends with a lot, seen a lot of friends get married etc.... Honestly, maybe one couple is still happy? The rest are divorced, on the verge of divorce, feel trapped, have constant stress from fighting/inlaws/godknows. I don't suffer for lack of guys wanting to date me. The problem is that I like this guy and I don't want just friendship from him - it'll end in me chasing him and pining forever and considering we've known each other only three months and it's gone from zero to intense, I just plan to bail entirely. Should he want to try dating, that's pretty much the only option available to him right now if he wants me in his life, and if not, unfortunately, I'm going to get over it and move on. This doesn't …

I think I matter to him a lot but I don't know if he's actually capable of being in a relationship. The last guy I went through this shit with cried and cried when I left but it was him crying for the fact that he couldn't feel feelings and didn't know what was wrong with him (because apparently this lack of deeper feelings kept ruining his attempted relationships). So if this guy is broken inside there's not much I can do here ...
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:39 PM

Yeah but then within three months of meeting her do you buy a bicycle to spend more time with her, spend 6-7 days a week with her, make her the one person who's seen the inside of your apartment in a group of like 10 friends you've known for years and years... there's more than one confusing message here
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:37 PM

Discrepancy?
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:27 PM

He seems the type to not date friends because he knows all his relationships end badly /wouldn't risk a friendship. But considering I just took friendship off the table... dunno. Sad.
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:26 PM

The last guy wouldn't have sex with me because having sex with someone he was close friends with would have meant a relationship... so bizarrely close friendship with me while banging randos.... which is why I got the fuck out of there....
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:19 PM
1

I mean that's a theory a few people have thrown out... he's had like one girlfriend ever and talks about never having feelings ... maybe just asexual... like I keep thinking, take the sex... i'm not unattractive... ? I certainly have enough guys who want to bang me... ?
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:17 PM

I don't know what's going on but I don't think he's lying here (or maybe he is)... I mean usually I'm in the centre of a room telling jokes and the life of the party, so I imagine my attention is very flattering to people who are normally used to being left out of things. But he's smart and funny and interesting and I think he's great and I've told him that and he's told me he "has no feelings deeper than friendship" (" I really do enjoy hanging out with you, I also think you're smart and funny,…
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:13 PM

I would say he completely lacks confidence. In social situations he basically clings to me and only really talks to me and has spoken openly about his lack of confidence. I mean whatever the case, he knows how to find me, he knows what I feel and what I want, and I don't think I can do much more in terms of getting out of the friendzone other than sitting back and telling him I'm not interested in just being friends and I need to concentrate on other people.
/r/seduction03/09/20 08:07 PM

Well, the last guy admitted it after like a year when I told him I couldn't be his friend anymore. He started by being into me (infatuated) and then trying to back it up by telling me he no longer had feelings and just wanted to be friends. I didn't want to lose him either so tried to be friends, made myself very sick mentally over it, and then couldn't take it anymore and essentially went over and broke up with him, at which point he just started sobbing and told me of course he had feelings fo…

I'm not very good at this shit either... I clearly liked him a lot ... but i'm sure he didn't get which way...
/r/seduction03/09/20 07:58 PM

Yes he definitely does. I just don't want to be his therapist... it's one thing if we're a couple but past experience tells me I'll just end emotionally supporting him until he finds a girlfriend (and then supporting him again when she dumps him, etc)
/r/seduction03/09/20 07:57 PM

I agree, I believe him. That having been said, I believed the last guy who told me he had no feelings for me yet wanted to hang out allllllllll the time, and he later told me that of course he did have feelings; he just didn't want to act on them because he wasn't ready for a relationship so thought the best way not to lose me was to tell me he had no feelings. Pretty fucked up. So I don't know anymore, but I do know that I can't go through something like that again; I can't try to be friends wi…

/r/seduction03/09/20 07:45 PM

Maybe... but then he kept ramping things up... like we didn't start by hanging out every day and then the next thing I know, he's meeting me for lunch, after work, buying a bike, etc... and then last Monday when he said something like "well we can do this today and then on saturday we'll do that" I realised he just ASSUMES we'll spend all our time together forever... and that I don't have other plans or even need to be asked....

I think there's a possibility, small, that he didn't think it through and told me he had no feelings because he thought that he wasn't ready for a relationship/it wouldn't work out, and thought if he said he had no feelings that we could remain friends... And the reason I think that is because this happened with another guy once: he knew he wasn't ready for a relationship (which he defined as exactly what we were doing plus sex) so he just lied and told me he had no feelings for me. I was upset,…

I really think it's number 2. This guy is not a player. He's an only child who watched his parents have a terrible, terrible divorce when he was young and talks about not understanding women, relationships, etc... I know he's got a lot of people who like him but no one he's close with, and I'm a teacher and the type of person to get people to open up.... and of course I adore him. But I can't do this this - it's too painful.
/r/seduction03/09/20 07:31 PM

I don't complain... I get it.. if someone has feelings for me and I don't reciprocate, I don't expect to get everything I want while they get a fraction. At this point in my life, I know what comes from this: he finds a girl who doesn't want us spending time together and I was a placeholder and/or I get to pine away trying to make him want me. If this was a friendship that lasted 20 years I'd probably work a little harder, but this was three months and it seems insanely intense... it makes me th…
