Somehow I'm always shocked because I'm the furthest thing from it. 1	Humor and Sarcasm I too, suffer from this problem. I come off as a dick easily to the uninitiated. I have two different strategies to solve this. Ease into my humor, a joke at a time to see what kind of response I get. Shock and awe, like jumping into a pool to get accustomed to the water. 1	How can we avoid hits in confidence or recover quickly from drops? There are times when I have confidence and feel good enough to approach and flirt but then it takes a crippling hit when I fail with a girl.. What's working for me currently is forgetting the failures the best I can. I focus on what successes I had the day or recently. It takes a good amount of work to make the switch to this frame, it's all in practice like all things game oriented. Being independent of outcome will help as well.
