I'm still new at this haha, but I appreciate the insight I'll definitely remember that for future reference. I'm not going to give up yet, but I'll heed your warnings and not get my hopes up. Thanks dude!

In high school I was the same way. I would hate reading out loud, answering questions, talking to strangers, etc. Getting a job helped me a lot with talking to people and coming out of my shell. You still got time so take it slow. If you're not old enough for a job, then volunteer for reading or answering questions in class. Force yourself to do these things and you'll get better and more confident.

It's ironic you say that because today is actually my twentieth birthday. I've literally just made the transition from teenager to adult. But I understand. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass, and next time I won't put the seduction community under the spot light at the expense of myself for no reason. Thanks for the advise though.

You're right and that's basically my premise for the speech. A better lifestyle. But I have a feeling that things are changing especially with the whole no slut shaming movement. At least in America anyway. It'll take time but people won't see pick as much of an evil soon enough. Not that I care what people think of pick up because I know it's great. Just a prediction.

I would have looked you in the face. Nodded and walked out the room with you. Just to make it epic.

I basically described a hypothetical AFC so they could relate to it, and then how an AFC can better himself with pick up. End of story. I didn't talk about how they do it, just that it can be done. Absolutely no theory. It was a very simple 4 minute speech.

My speech was a bit simpler than that. I created a hypothetical AFC and explained the progression of pick from the time the book The Game happened to now. I honestly wish I had gone the rhetoric route. I just took a class in propaganda and persuasion and rhetoric is amazing. Laziness got the best of me. Next time I'll definitely confront seddit before I make such a bold move. I do appreciate the concern of those telling me not to do it, and understand the hilarity of the speech blowing up in my …

AFC is an average frustrated chump. Someone who's fed up with being unsuccessful with women.

I understand the advisement against the speech. I'm not trying to make a point, I'm not trying to convert, I'm not trying to promote. I'm just informing people on what I know. I know that pick up helped me grow as a person. The classroom is with like 9 people at a small commuter college. I would never do this at huge university, I'm not that dumb. This was just a small test to see if I could pull it off. I can't imagine the reprecussions are going to be grave. If they are I'll deal with it, but …

I'm not trying to make a point.. I'm just doing it because it's something I knew most people didn't know about in my class. When I dropped the word pick up artist everyone thought I was talking about painting. I also feel as though I know enough to talk about the self help side because it's helped me grow as a person.

The idea of the relationship ladder, is to get rid of it. The goal is to move on to the teaching of this sub.

That's the point. An AFC would see the doing and saying nice things as flirting.

Honestly, I don't know why everyone is flipping shit. I go to a commuter campus. I live at home. And there are 9 people in my class.

I actually go to a commuter campus and the class is with like 9 girls. I don't understand either.

I don't see how a lawsuit can be filed for a speech about self help? If anything I'll take out the words pick up artist. My speech is geared toward guys being social with men and women. I'm not discrimination or single out anyone.

I am well prepared. The way I'm going to move past/justify the pick up and seduction part is by noting it's natural in any man, or women's, life to go out and meet people to have sex, if asked. Both parties do it. There is no doubt about that. If people decide to look it up and judge me that's fine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but women aren't viewed on a higher pedestal within the community, nor are they bellow us. The community doesn't teach that women are sex objects to be thrown to the curb onc…

The focus is on self help aspect, not once did I plan on saying getting laid. I'm not even going to specify which forum one can post to. There will be no mention of r/Seduction at all. Just that PUA's are a group of men bettering themselves. Getting laid is not a focus on the speech at all, nor will I mention it. Train wreck or not I think it will be interesting.

Though it is an informative speech I'm hoping the appeal to emotion within it will take hold of the class and allow the facts to sink in. I understood the risk when I chose the topic and honestly it was just something I knew well enough to explain and laziness. I can handle the ridicule if there is any after the speech, I'm not too worried about that. This is just an attempt to let my confidence in myself and in pick up to shine and also my skills as a rhetorician and orator to grow. The respons…

I agree with this. And this is how I see things now. The Relationship Ladder mentality puts a girl on a pedestal before getting to know her. And that's essentially the problem I used to have.

I wish I had posted this earlier then. It's too late to start another speech, but my speech is basically about how pick up evolved from a means to end to getting laid to a self help community. My class which is 100% girls minus myself and the instructor all know about my topic and I have briefly explained it to them and they all seem open to hearing another side of it. The main focus of the speech is how a group of guys started from being socially inept (not that all are socially inept) and foun…

I see what you mean about the big frame, it puts me in charge of the situation allowing me to make the rules and tests. Not taking their questions seriously will build comfort while giving me some anonymity.

I'll remember this. This also won't be too hard, there's always something to do at work, but there's always time to slack off. Edit: Thanks dude!

Once your realize that you can feel deeply about more than one person you begin to realize that's it's not the end of the world if they don't feel the same. Sometimes it's just best to let go.

The girl who was approached me from the set was the more attractive of the two and was asking most of the questions. Asking for both was an accident, so I immediately went for the girl that was showing the most interest and whom I was most interested in coincidentally. I should have wrote that earlier. I'm definitely working on keeping my mouth shut at times.

I used to be the same way and ultimately it ended badly with the girls I liked. I'd get super clingy and needy because I felt like interesting girls were hard to come by. One day I looked back on how many girls I have been interested in throughout my life and realized it was more than I had expected. This helped me accept the abundance mindset. There is more than just one girl out there who I could see myself with. What really drove the abundance mindset home was talking to everyone around me. N…

I used to be the same way, I needed my friends to fall back on incase something I goofed around others and it was always easier to be in state when joking around with them. But my friends aren't really into pick up so what I started doing was becoming self amusing. Do things to make yourself laugh. Make jokes in your head about funny things you see and get yourself smiling. Be your own friend. When I'm alone and I need to get in the zone I like to sing out loud to my self. Especially at work. If…

It was really just me rationalizing my way out of taking a chance. Somehow it made sense in my head, looking back it was stupid
