Exactly what you said. It's the "compulsive nature" I think, that seems over the top. But perhaps I should do as you say and just allow myself to look. Because, now that I think about it, wouldn't repressing a feeling only makes it come back stronger... Ya.

And trust me it is a challenge. Surprisingly though the scrutiny is not so much out in public as it is at home. My bro is telling my mom to ignore my non-verbal attempts to communicate. They say that body language accounts for over half of communication. So I'm also finding it interesting to see how well I can communicate my thoughts without speech. I have a "fake note" that says I'm taking part in a high-stake bet and cannot speak, but so far I haven't used it very much at all. I haven't felt the need to explain my silence to anybody, because people seem to just go with it, which is a bit surprising to me.

I normally care a great deal about what people think of me, and I am trying to teach myself NOT to care so much about how people perceive my actions. ie. to become more centered within my own reality. [edit] Also I'm trying to take myself and life a little less seriously

Yea. It's good though. It really pushes you outside your comfort zone, which is necessary at some point, if you're serious about succeeding. What I like about it most, is that it's low pressure. Especially the early missions, you are expected just to open, and if you don't do anything else, that is OK. It's baby steps, and that's how I like it. Good luck to you!
