I met with a guy in Wrigleyville a year ago, who tried to set up a Chicago lair. Personally, I think lairs are creepy and defeat the purpose of becoming a well-adjusted guy who has a healthy sex life. Just hit on girls by yourself or try to get into parties.

What your friend says almost doesn't matter. All she'll notice is the kind of company you keep, and that reflects back to you. So, either ignore it, tell him to STFU, or find other friends.

Oh, you mean like how people would say that Groucho Marx was always "on". Perhaps I should have said, "It's unhealthy to attempt to be always 'on'."

I bought it. I'm a huge fan of Mark's anyways, as I read his blog religiously, and the book is also quite good. I especially like the game plan he put toward the end of the book. His approach is very low on bullshit, unlike a lot of other PUA types. Closest comparisons I can come up with (from the community) are Lance Mason of Pickup 101 and Sixty from 60 Years of Challenge. The difference between this book and a lot of books out there - if I ever had a son who was trying to figure out how to de…

It is possible to get laid while living with your parents. I'm a similar case (26 years old, living with parents). That said, all other things being equal, it is better to have your own place. So, don't worry about bringing girls back to your place, but make sure you have an exit strategy so that you're not living there in the long run.

I've read some of his books and watched a few of his videos. I like his direct, no-bullshit approach with women, but I don't think his advice is terribly practical for someone just starting.

A lot of guys who are unsuccessful with women are usually chasing after one girl at a time, for long periods of time. They come here and they don't entirely "get it" at first, even if they read the sidebar (which isn't necessarily that often).

Dude, I think you missed the point. When you stop caring so much about where a girl fits on a 1-10 scale, you have more fun, and by extension get more attractive girls.

Suppose we have a girl who is an ugly bitch. She is maybe a 4/10 on the attractiveness scale (if we're being generous), but she is not approachable or receptive (she is catty & vicious to strange men). Do we increase her HB rating based on that? Also, suppose we have a Victoria's Secret model who is bubbly, friendly, and talks to / flirts with everyone. Do we decrease her HB rating based on that?

I'm not really sure why ThrowawayPUA's a moderator on this board. He seems more like a keyboard jockey than someone who actually "gets" women, and by that I mean both mentally & physically.

There is a certain orthodoxy / hivemind here in Seddit. A lot of hero worship to Neil Strauss, Mystery Method, and RSD, and each of their philosophies is, imho, full of questionable theories and practices. I won't go into all the specifics, but my current favorite blogger Mark Manson has done several blog posts trying to dispel some of those myths. Here's a good one he did recently, but if you dig back, he's posted some real solid gold over the past couple years.
/r/seduction19/08/11 04:38 AM

Okay. I agree - if they made a separate post with logical arguments, it'd be more palatable than blatant trolling of other people's threads.
/r/seduction19/08/11 01:36 AM

I don't think PUA Hate is necessarily bad for the Seddit community. There are significant problems with many self-proclaimed PUA "gurus," and a healthy dose of skepticism should be welcome from time to time. I suppose it's bad if they're posting in every new thread, but we should be questioning a lot of supposed dogma around here.

Start talking to her as soon as you two are close enough that you could potentially go on a date. But, in the meantime, please don't fixate on her - it'll ruin things. Go out, approach (and date) other girls. Don't let this girl become your one-itis. Get rid of the mentality, "I don't want to lose this girl," because that'll make you seem needy and potentially drive her away. You've got nothing to lose.

I must come across that way, given how much praise I give his work. I just like his perspective - it's so much more intuitive and simple than most other "PUA" material. Mystery Method's too structured (unnecessarily so); Neil Strauss is way too nervous on camera for me to take him seriously; Owen Cook seems like the guy who was straight-edge for most of his life, then realized that smoking a little pot won't kill you; etc. Most "gurus" are following paradigms and belief structures that are detri…

Owen Cook has not come up with some major "realization" - he's merely recycling a lot of Ekhart Tolle and processed it through his own bizarre world view. The Blueprint Decoded is at least 20 hours long, deals with a lot of silly games like stomping around and screaming like a jackass in the middle of a crowded nightclub (to get over one's fears, I presume), and it's a lot of "inner game" stuff, supposedly. Really, if you have trouble dealing with the anxiety of approaching women, you're better …
/r/seduction16/07/11 08:52 PM

In my opinion, the Blueprint Decoded is a huge waste of time. It's full of mental masturbation and has very few truly practical tips that a person can apply. There are much better products out there.

Bullshit. A guy gets laid because he's attractive, not because of the exact sequence of the seduction. If she's into you, she might have sex with you even though you might be using canned material or a structure (which I don't advocate, btw).
/r/seduction11/07/11 06:30 PM

Feminism may have gone a little too far, but I don't consider it evil. The idea that feminism is evil (and other similar misogynistic thought) is a little too prevalent in PUA, IMO.

Well, it starts out kinda fun, with this fantasy of him being God's gift to women. It takes a dark turn as he goes on some Bobby Fischer - like rants about how Feminism is "evil." I will listen/watch/read anything involving Mark Manson. EDIT: I just finished listening, and I love what I hear so far. Looks do matter, and I've noticed that I spend a lot more time recently working on lifting weights, cooking, and reading /r/malefashionadvice. Realize that, while you might have a good time and see some good results this weekend, the overall process of learning to get good with women requires months of dedication and patience. Don't expect a miracle over the weekend, and don't be surprised if your results fluctuate after the bootcamp. What's the main sticking point that you're trying to get over right now?

Losing weight comes with a few caveats. Loose skin, stretch marks, skinny girl attention with a fat girl mentality, etc. Someone who's been starving herself thin might not be able to know when to stop and develop anorexia/bulimia. A fat girl turned skinny who's used to being ignored might go on a man binge and do some things she regrets. Losing weight doesn't always make someone happier. Just be careful.
/r/seduction27/05/11 04:46 AM
46

Be careful as you lose weight - you'll have to get better at saying "no" to more guys, and it can be rough adjusting to a new body when you've been living with the mentality of your old body. Also, be careful about potential eating disorders. Best of luck.
/r/seduction27/05/11 03:59 AM
67

Show off some cleavage and try initiating conversations yourself. Losing weight will cause a dramatic shift in results. I have a female friend who dropped from over 200 lbs to about 130, and she didn't know what to do with all the new attention she had. Also, make sure to wear clothes that flatter your figure. Emphasize the chest, de-emphasize your belly, etc. Sorry if this is blunt, but I'm telling you what works.

I was in a very similar situation: newest kid in school 6th grade, couldn't make friends with anyone, and a couple times the hottest girl would yell out, "[unsexyMF], put your pants on!" or "Stop staring at my tits!" But I'm really sorry about the sexual harassment thing, that must have been very psychologically scarring.
/r/seduction13/05/11 05:39 AM
1

Perhaps that's the thrust of my argument. I feel like, if I met you in person, I could figure out what's really holding you back (besides your mentality). I'm wondering why you were voted "most likely to be a rapist" and if maybe that's just because you were an awkward looking/acting teenager, a phase that you might already be growing out of.

I'm more concerned about the "having no friends" part. That should be corrected first before you worry about getting laid. Get a hobby, see a therapist, hit the gym, etc. etc.
/r/seduction13/05/11 03:29 AM

Tofu, once again, is on point. Focus on developing other areas of your life (not necessarily directly related to your wealth) that women would be attracted to. Work on physical fitness, philanthropy, art, hobbies, etc. I see dressing well as casting a wide net. When a woman shows off her cleavage, she's casting a wide net. She's going to get quality guys and thousands of low-lifes ogling, so she has to spend more time separating the wheat from the chaff. Like Tofu said, spend more time qualifyin…
/r/seduction13/05/11 03:27 AM

If you express sexual interest to a girl, how are you debasing yourself in front of her? How can you assume that you have nothing to offer a girl, even if she rejects you? Is it worse to be considered a creep in the short run with a stranger, or a creep in the long run for being a 40- or 50-year-old virgin? Why do you think your failures are uncorrectable? How can we learn from your story when you don't provide potential solutions? Why do you think it's too late for you? How old are you?
/r/seduction13/05/11 03:17 AM

No, it's rather scattered. Kind of the rantings of a madman (like a surprising amount of seduction material).

It sounds like your problem is with kino escalation. Like, manning up and having the balls to ask a girl out / kiss her / make things sexual. A boot camp might help you over a couple hurdles, but getting a girlfriend will probably require a long-term commitment to facing your fears.

Yeah, you're over-thinking it. To answer your bullet points in order: Is it a bad thing if you two wind up in "boyfriend/girlfriend mode"? You could make a pass, get rejected, and still stay friends. If I can offer any value, it's that he doesn't seem like he has his shit together, especially from watching his videos and reading about his mental breakdown towards the end of Neil Strauss' "The Game." It's difficult for a guy to claim to be "anti-PUA" when he's a dating coach. I get that over-arching complaint. With respect to the latest article: A lot of guys get into PUA stuff because they're having trouble getting consistent results with women, and then they take it too far / get burned out, resulting in a lack of quality in their life overall. He isn't saying that other dating coaches haven't come to the same conclusion - some of them have, assuming they haven't gotten completely sucked i…

Neil Strauss' 30 day challenge is full of questionable stuff. There must exist better things for people who want to improve in a given time frame. Personally, once I move out of my Mom's house, I'm considering trying Mark Manson's G3 program. 60 Years of Challenge has been really helpful to me so far - very practical and low on "mental masturbation."

Practical Pickup It's run by Mark Manson, a.k.a. Entropy, and even though he used to be really deep in the whole PUA scene, recently he's had a bit of a common-sense revelation and has become much better at separating the wheat from the chaff when it comes to picking up girls and having an all-around healthier lifestyle. His articles are usually pretty spot on and insightful. He is trying to sell something at the end of the day (his G3 program and private coaching), but I think anyone here could…

The top few comments from that post have it spot on. Being a guy, on the whole, is way easier. Upward mobility (sexually) for a woman is much harder than it is for a guy. All a man has to do is dress better and approach more prospects. A woman, on the other hand, may have to deal with months in the gym, plastic surgery, and liposuction, and even then, there's no guaranteed way to hide one's age.
/r/seduction25/03/11 02:32 AM

Totally agree with this mindset. Keep it stupid simple when you're starting out, then as you get your numbers in, you can experiment with tactics.

Mystery Method is not my go-to reference. It's too complicated, it fucked with my head, and made me feel like I had to learn a ton of stuff just to get girls to like me. Nowadays, I take the approach that "it's a numbers game" and just approach as many women as I can. My go-to references would be things like Practical Pickup, etc.
/r/seduction23/03/11 04:06 PM
1

Find some stuff by Paul Janka. Basically, he'll approach a girl on the street with something situational, make a few comments, get her phone number, and be gone in 60 seconds. Forget about Magic Bullets - that book makes it too complicated. Approaching girls is mostly a numbers game, so get your numbers in.
/r/seduction23/03/11 04:00 PM

Reading your most recent posts, you have some fairly impressive stats. How tall are you? What's your build? How old are you? Just curious as hell, since I'm 5'7" with a skinny build.

You're right. Women can smell if I'm not totally sure about what I'm doing. I'll keep trying more direct approaches until it feels totally natural. However, I'm not crazy about RSD's approach to getting "un-stifled." I think it's silly that they'll walk through a club stomping their feet - seems like they're overcompensating.
/r/seduction19/03/11 10:02 PM
1

I'll keep this in mind and try some more direct approaches next time I'm at the club. Thanks!
/r/seduction19/03/11 09:59 PM
2

This explains so much of a girl's behavior, from what I've seen. Do you ever go to the club secretly looking to hook up, or does having sex with a guy you met at the club seem more like an accident?
/r/seduction19/03/11 09:53 PM

193 cm = 6'4" - that's pretty tall.
/r/seduction19/03/11 09:40 PM

Very curious - what's your rejection rate using the "start grinding" approach? I've tried it at a couple clubs with usually disappointing results. Typically, what I'll do is meet a girl at the bar and try to take her to the dance floor, but that's often time consuming and inefficient. I'm considering trying more aggressive tactics (like Aaron Sleazy - well, maybe not that aggressive), so I'm curious about how well it works for you.

Well, it's good to talk to a girl for a few minutes just to screen her out, but it wouldn't be too crazy to get a girl's number within the first 5 minutes. That's a big difference between nighttime game and day game. Paul Janka gets girls' numbers within a minute of talking to them, but that's because he meets them usually on the streets of NYC during the day. At night, getting a phone number is not nearly as important as getting physical in the club. Maybe neighbor girl needs to be kept on a bi…

It's okay, I was mostly curious about how you handled logistics - you mostly answered it below when I asked the question of where you actually took the girl. A lot of people in this forum are too hung up on the idea that, given the right words, they can seduce any women, without paying attention to context, body language, or a whole host of other things. The truth is probably that she was into you from the start, and that you just had to keep her in your sights until you sealed the deal.

I'll give Mystery some credit for trying to analyze things and put seduction into a structured format (even though he took it a bit too far). What did Neil contribute? False time constraints? My ex told me "When I go to a hair salon, I look for the stylist with the most tattoos/piercings." I have also found that they tend to do the best jobs. I think the most striking thing about what you wrote here is something that I've read about before - it seems like you're more interested in getting the girl's affection than getting in bed with her. You're putting the cart before the horse. You need to get sexual with a woman if you ever expect to get any affection from her. Maybe this is harsh, but I don't think this counts as a field report - it sounds more like a diary entry.

I suggest that you read 60 Years of Challenge (it's a 4 PDF torrent floating around somewhere). If you're still having these issues about not knowing what to say after reading that, come back to me. If you want to ooze sex, read my last field report. Also, as far as "being alpha" is concerned, read this. EDIT: Just noticed that I already told you about 60 in one of your previous posts. Eventually I'll make a link to it. EDIT 2: I feel like you deserve better advice. Here's my best shot: When I g…

Yeah, I totally agree. I'm glad I didn't find out about this stuff until college. I actually went through a period where pick-up products made me more awkward.

You'll become less creepy with practice (I hope). I remember really creeping a girl out back in college at a frat party (I was pretty drunk and aggressive), and some guy later retold the story in gruesome detail to the rest of the fraternity. Uglier girls have insecurities that they often can't look past. Sometimes, they can't believe that you genuinely might find them even a bit attractive, or they're used to getting hit on by less attractive guys.

I love this story. It's a lot better than my first time going out to a bar solo. I used to be in your situation - years of reading theory with almost no practice. Here are some recommendations for the future: You went out on a Monday night. Even if it is Valentine's Day, it's still Monday. Bars don't really get hopping until Thursday or Friday. Go easy on the liquid courage. It helped you get yourself out of your comfort zone at first, but then you got sloppy (and it's apparent from your re-tell…

What do you think about the recent crop of minimalist teachers of pickup theory, i.e. 60 Years of Challenge, Paul Janka, Aaron Sleazy, the guy who writes practicalpickup.com ... people of that ilk? What do you think of their philosophy on pickup?

/r/seduction15/02/11 11:59 PM

Absolutely. The most important thing to remember is not to act like some constantly-agreeing spineless lapdog. Negs were probably invented to keep guys from falling into that trap. I don't consciously think about negs, teasing, or qualifying while I'm doing it - it just happens as a natural part of conversation.
/r/seduction15/02/11 07:03 PM
13

Here's my take on "negs": I don't really like the term "neg". I much prefer to view these kinds of things as either teasing or qualifying. Teasing is a natural part of flirting. So, from your example, you could say, "Wow, you seem a lot cooler now!" with a sly grin, as if to imply that you weren't that impressed before. It's a little bit of teasing and qualifying combined. Other times I'll repeat what a girl said in a mocking voice, but when she gets offended I'll hug her and say, "I'm just play…

I'll repost from the previous thread: Scarlett Johansson a 9? Jessica Alba an 8? Beyonce Knowles & Salma Hayek are 7s? Anything below that, don't bother? All of this is blasphemy, imo, but maybe this guy is so good-looking that he can afford to have ridiculously high standards. The more likely explanation is that he is more in love with himself than with any of these women.

I actually really like this idea, because it addresses a lot of my concerns about AskSeddit. I was worried that, with AskSeddit, newbies have to be corralled over there by force. If there's a separate forum for higher-level stuff, it's aimed at people who have been here a while, and only people who know the ins and outs of Seddit will know and appreciate the difference. Then again, if I make a field report, I'd want to share it with all of Seddit, not just an offshoot.
/r/seduction12/02/11 09:51 AM
2

This is one of my concerns. I'm sure that, with enough time and nurturing, AskSeddit could become big. Right now, AskSeddit's audience isn't even 1% of Seddit's reader base. People won't want to post in AskSeddit if there aren't enough people reading.

Hmm... I guess there's always something a little weird about any seduction forum. I don't know how to respond to this, because I don't disagree that much with what you're saying. I'm going to stick with the AskSeddit experiment for right now, but I think it would be healthier if we all had a debate about the pros & cons of having two separate forums.

"The Game" claims to be a true story, and in essence I think it's based on reality, but only loosely. A lot of the stuff that happened in the book was exaggerated, stuff was taken out of sequence, things like phone numbers were given way too much importance, etc. So, yeah, it's mostly a novel.

I totally recommend Intimate Connections by David Burns. It'll help you analyze your fears. Approaching women in a club can be harsh. You might want to start with a lower-intensity bar, or joining activity groups (intramural sports, cooking class, judo, book club, etc.) and work your way up. Personally, I'm not crazy about Neil Strauss' "The Game," but I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board that disagree with me.

The above two points make me feel torn about the whole "AskSeddit" experiment. In theory, it would be nice if all the knowledgeable people from Seddit also added AskSeddit to their front page and checked both regularly. The situation reminds me of /r/math vs /r/cheatatmathhomework. If /r/math was inundated with banal trigonometry & calculus problems, I doubt many people would want to wade through all that. Lipstick is not unattractive or outdated, and neither is smelling good. Sometimes, I'll take just a spritz or two of some cologne that I bought at Ruehl. (EDIT: I just found out Ruehl closed a couple years ago. Shows how far behind the times I am.) Sometimes, just scrubbing with soap and applying a little deodorant is sufficient. Also, I'm not sure whether this belongs here or in AskSeddit, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I see what you mean. If there's a bar attached to a dance floor, I like to go up to girls and say, "I got to get my groove on!" and then start mock grinding them right there, usually because I'm dying to dance. Most girls laugh, at the very least. A surprising number take me up on the offer.

Well, I guess, I'm asking how receptive women are to it. When you open women with this line (I assume in a nightclub, not at the checkout line at Whole Foods), what percentage of women actually want to continue the conversation, or kiss you, or have sex with you? How do these rates compare with other lines you use? In a weird way, I like the line for being so direct, but I'm personally not all that crazy about anal, and I wouldn't want to pretend to be "gangsta" as a first impression (though I m…

After wading through a sea of newbie questions like "How do I talk to girls?" it's refreshing to see a good TofuTofu post. I'm not really in any place to give you advice, but if I had to guess, I think the whole AMOG problem just stems from the nature of what you're trying to do. What you're doing is, in theory, not very different from what club promoters do. In fact, you might as well open up your own nightclub, considering how social you're being. If you didn't have fears, you'd have no problem talking to girls. Maybe you're afraid that you have nothing to say? I actually agree with almost everything you just said. I still think looks play a bit of a role, but a guy can compensate for it with the right fashion sense, being more aggressive, and being sexual. It might help him, though, to try picking up girls on his own or in different venues, so that he can build up successes and confidence. Otherwise, I think we're in agreement. I bet that he's not being direct enough (physically) with women, and he's not dealing with sexual tension properly, i.e. he's…

Why are you so worried about "being alpha"? If I'm getting frustrated with my success rate in one venue, I'll find somewhere else. If I'm with a guy that's stealing all the girls from me, I'll go somewhere by myself, or find another guy who isn't doing that. Some guys are more attractive than others, and you have to find creative ways of dealing with that. How do you outgame a guy who is attractive but quiet, just sitting in the corner playing guitar?

/r/seduction09/02/11 11:30 PM

That's totally my strategy. I go to the bar, have a couple beers, then I carpet-bomb the area with kamikaze attacks. Eventually I'll find a girl that thinks I'm cute, and then maybe we'll go to the dance floor.

Maybe you're doing too much talking and not enough escalating. Looks certainly play a part, but maybe your game isn't as solid as you think it is. Being social is not the same as being seductive. How well do you handle sexual tension? Also, if a guy is stealing your girls, maybe you're better off as a lone wolf.

I like how you've joined a rock climbing group and that you're pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. I think it's a bad sign that you've started adopting a lot of PUA lingo. When you focus on tactics like "DHVs" and "negs", you lose touch with how she's really feeling. When you ask for a phone number, just go for it, and don't overthink it. Comedians all suffer from the problem that their profession, by its very nature, is dependent on validation. That's why a lot of them suck with women, even really rich and famous comedians. So, by and large, I'd say that you're right - you shouldn't take advice about women from comedians. However, Chris Rock's point is still valid. It's nice that you're working on a lot of other stuff in your life, but this is all peripheral. You should be asking girls out on dates. Everything else is set. Don't get too involved in PUA stuff - you're only 16. Just enjoy being a kid, screw around, and make mistakes. I'm 26 right now, with your exact same height and weight. I lost my virginity at 16, totally by chance (with some friend of my sister that just wanted to fool around). If you've never had a girlfriend before, don't worry about b…

Oh yeah, you're in college, aren't you... I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm really qualified to answer your questions. All I can do right now is fantasize about a hot programmer. It's kinda like the stereotype of the sexy librarian. I think you need a woman's advice. Try to find women who are as physically attractive as yourself that date dominant men, and talk to them about what they do. Seddit is very testosterone-heavy for obvious reasons. Also, since you're in college, look for organizations …

I've found meeting girls at the gym to be very intimidating. But I bet that if you started talking to guys at the gym, they'd probably be very receptive, and they'd fall over each other trying to demonstrate dominance :)

Try to find activities where guys are competitive - video game tournaments, sports, finance, etc. Also, hit the gym, buy some heels, all that typical Cosmo bullshit. I'm sad to hear this, because I'm gradually becoming more dominant, and I'd love to date a hot programmer. I think you might be in a unique predicament, where some guys are intimidated by your looks, and other guys are intimidated by your brains. Try to flirt with more guys, and see what sticks.

Lance Mason of Pickup 101 did something where he studied the basic structures of romance novels, and he found a recurring theme in some of the bestsellers: The story arc would be that there is a protagonist woman and a hero guy who ignores her for much of the story. He's out slaying dragons and doing heroic shit for most of the plot, but then towards the end, he notices something in the protagonist woman that no one else notices, and he becomes completely vulnerable in that moment. That's the "m…

Where are you meeting guys? What exactly are you having trouble picking up on? It seems to me that I can figure out whether or not another guy is dominant or passive within a few minutes of meeting him. Actually, I think Mister_glados has a really good point. If a PUA gives you a product that answers all your questions about how to get laid, you don't need to go back to him. But if he gives you something that leads you on but doesn't quite answer your questions, he makes more money. If you get in close with a girl, that "social hierarchy" stuff doesn't really matter. When you make a move on a girl, like put your arm around her, or take her to the dance floor, or make out with her, she'll feel sexual tension between you two and decide that she either wants it or doesn't. At that point, all the other guys in the room don't really matter. Have you ever been near a girl that you weren't that attracted to at first, but then she starts talking to you, and maybe brushes up against…

Trial & error. I got my first gf by asking for her e-mail, taking her on an awkward date, then awkwardly kissing her with too much tongue at the end of the date. Truth is, a lot of PUA stuff makes the whole dating thing seem too complicated. Many of the precepts help to make it more efficient, painless, & effective for guys, but overall, you don't need brains to get girls. You just need balls.

Oh. You don't have to say a whole lot. I actually try to keep talking to a minimum when I pick up girls. Hopefully the resources I provided in 1, 2, & 3 should help you with what to say. I am also not comfortable with a lot of PUA stuff, including the jargon. Here's what I'd recommend: Read Intimate Connections by David D. Burns. I agree with this so much. If you see a girl that you fancy, go over and talk to her while escalating kino. If you're paying attention to tiny details like "mirroring," you've already lost. While you're talking to a girl, you should get a gut feeling for whether or not she's into you, and if you can't tell, reach out and hold her hand and see if she pulls away. Or do something similar where it involves something physical and mutual.

I hate to say it, but Mystery might have had a good reason for why this happens. Back in the caveman-era-days, if you tried to hit on the wrong woman, you risked serious injury or death. In those times, people lived in tribes of about 50 people. Of those, maybe 5 or so were women of marriageable age. If you hit on a woman and she wasn't into you, word of it would spread to the other women in the tribe ("Ew, he's a creep!"), and your reputation might be tarnished for good. If you hit on a girl th…

Heed this advice! Not enough people in our society respect a person's mental health. You don't have to be batshit crazy to get some benefit from seeing a therapist. This girl isn't worth it. Plenty of famous people have lost their virginity to prostitutes - John F. Kennedy & David Cross immediately come to mind. There's no shame in wanting to get rid of your virginity, even if you feel like you need to pay for it. Buy nice clothes. Hit the gym. Get a haircut. See your dentist. Honestly, women are way more insecure about their own looks. You are probably attracting girls left and right without even knowing it. But confidence will really help you out with your attractiveness. Just accept that you're not Jon Hamm and just go for it anyway. You'll become more confident as you do more ballsy stuff.

I do something similar. It's something I learned from Zen Buddhist meditation - I focus on my breath. If I'm getting anxious, it's usually because of stuff that happened to me in the past or stuff that I anticipate's going to happen in the future. Focusing on my breath forces me to be in the present moment, and so I relax a bit.

It seems like you were in from the start, especially since her friends were trying to hook the two of you up. Just ask her to hang out again, and don't be afraid to fuck it up. There is a flaw in my logic, you're right. I'm trying to find a proper rebuttal to what you said, but in doing research, I realize that I'm more confused about my position than I thought I was. In any case, when I'm out chasing tail, I pay much more attention to non-verbal cues than what a girl is actually saying.

My advice may have been a bit harsh. I think there's a misconception about "building attraction" in the seduction community. To a fair extent, attraction is a rather visceral thing, and you can usually tell if a girl is into you rather quickly. It can be a fruitless struggle to convert girls, especially as time drags on. But I do commend you on getting out of your comfort zone. As you talk to more girls, you'll get more comfortable with it.
/r/seduction22/01/11 09:20 AM

I'm sorry, but based on your story, I don't think she's into you. There's no "building attraction" at this point - either you had it or you didn't. My guess is, any positive response she's given (to either you or the "AMOG" sitting next to her in class) is politeness. She's got big tits, right? She probably gets guys hitting on her all the time, so she's figured out a way of keeping them away with minimal effort or confrontation. If you keep pursuing her while she's giving you what are, in my mi…

You have not lost with this friend - you simply know where you stand now. There are other women who will accept you. Go out and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Whatever confidence you thought you had was false confidence. True confidence came when you had the balls to ask your friend out. You are actually more confident now than you were before - you just don't know it yet. You don't have any specific girl to pine for, so you have nothing to lose, and that's the most freeing mentality you can …

I don't like the mentality that you have to come up with a different response for each shit test. If a girl gives you a shit test, give her a look that says "I know your game. I know what you're really thinking."

I agree with everything thesacred said. Also, you're using "RSD natural style"? IMO, RSD is full of mental masturbation, which can really mess with your head. I've watched The Blueprint, and I'm so glad that I don't think of any of that stuff when I'm actually trying to get with a girl. Don't think about "state" or "the nimbus" - think about the girl, what are her interests, and having sex with her. Don't be afraid to run out of things to say. The silences are where sexual tension lies.

I'm sorry - I joined a nerd frat my Junior year, so I'm not one to give advice on this stuff. I guess, dress in Hollister and practice doing keg stands. If you show adeptness at picking up chicks at frat parties, it'll definitely put points in your favor.

At some point, you have to let a girl know you're interested in her. Maybe Cakebread's approach isn't the most tactful, but it's better than a lot of indirect approaches that go nowhere. Mystery Method has infected too many people's minds with the idea that it's bad to compliment a woman.

Yeah, I've walked up to a girl at a bar and started grinding with her within seconds of meeting her. I used to think it was impossible until I did it, and now it seems obvious. You can't do it with every girl, but it's surprising how easy & often it can happen.

Kino doesn't require talking. Also, you could whisper, "I need a break - come with me," and take her to a place where talking isn't forbidden. Whispering is a great excuse to get close to her and give her some incidental kino. Also, you could write flirty notes to each other.
/r/seduction18/01/11 06:24 AM

You make a good point. But being social and being seductive are two different things, and I felt like venting that I'm more interested in being seductive than social. It's totally possible to walk into a club without talking to the bouncer, without making small talk with the bartender, then chatting up a hot girl.

I do like this girl, but I don't want to fuck this up. You have to be okay with fucking it up, otherwise you'll come across as needy. Just admit that you're needy right now because you don't have other options. Try to go for kino on this date, don't talk to her so much on the phone or text. If she's not into it, just let her go. Ask more girls out so you develop an abundance mentality, then you won't be as needy.

I admire your ballsiness, but I think you got greedy twice in a row. I've never had a threesome myself, but from what I've heard from Jeffy of RSD, he was able to get threesomes on a regular basis because he was in a long-term relationship with a girl who was bisexual and into threesomes. They would go tandem hunting for women. Usually Jeffy's girlfriend would start, and then Jeffy would come in to make sure that the target was into him as well, and then they'd go back to Jeffy's place and screw…

Sexual attraction is like the electromagnetic force. It's most effective when two things are really close together, and fizzles out over distance. This is why kino is so important for establishing a sexual connection. This is also why, in general, long-distance relationships don't work. I'm sorry, I don't really have advice for this situation. For myself, I would avoid long-distance relationships.

Read the sidebar. Have you read the sidebar yet? Read the sidebar. What do you want from her? Do you want a one-night stand? A relationship? Whatever it is, you should probably use kino to gauge whether or not she's into you, ask for a phone number, and try to set up a date elsewhere. Or try to lead her away from her friends to a place where the two of you can be a little more secluded. And if she isn't that into you, just move on.

Yes. Read the sidebar. This is commonly called LMR (Last-Minute Resistance). I think onebit has a good point here. By putting her in the friendzone, you were somewhat dishonest to her about what you really want, and you did it out of fear. If you want a long-term relationship, you'll probably have to be more honest about it to yourself and to her, and not be afraid of losing her. But then again, I'm a straight guy who's only been in 1 LTR, so don't take me so seriously. Anyhow, I love your very unique perspective, and I look forward to future posts.

This is something I hadn't really thought about. I went through a phase in my life where I was the least popular and a social pariah, so rejection doesn't phase me as much because any one girl rejecting me couldn't possibly be as bad as 7th grade. Whereas, if a guy has always been attractive and well-liked, asking girls out requires him to risk going into uncharted territory.
/r/seduction15/01/11 01:58 AM

Just ask them. You'll always feel a little anxious, but the more girls you ask out, the less anxious you'll be. And, if that doesn't satisfy you, I refer you to this other reddit post. I don't know if that's necessarily ethical, but it might help you with your self-esteem and your fear. It was good that you drew a line in the sand. I've heard from some people that it's not a good idea to make out with girls in public, that is, before you've taken her where you intend to have sex. The rationale is that, if you make out with a girl on a dance floor or in a bar (or at a frat party, in your case), she sees that as not necessarily going anywhere. If you restrict it to short kisses, then that gives her something to look forward to in the bedroom. Once you make out with her in your be…

I'm not rejecting myself. Looks obviously play a factor - I'd have an easier time at nightclubs if I was over 6' tall. But, viewing seduction as a numbers game, that just means I have to try a little harder than tall guys. I've accepted that. If you don't think looks matter, imagine a short, fat, balding, neckbearded guy in sweatpants trying to pick up a 5'10" Victoria's Secret model. I knew this video was going to piss some people off. Negs are unnecessary. Find a torrent of "60 Years of Challenge" and read it. Mystery's approach is too formulaic, too complicated. You don't need such a grand structure to get laid. Hooking up with a girl is an organic process, and while I tend to have a math/science view of things in general, with pickup I take a more Zen approach. I think you've got the right frame of mind. In the future, if a girl starts talking about her ex or someone she's not-so-serious with, try to change the subject, or say, "Is this how it's gonna be, you just talking about the other guy?" Get her in physical proximity, because that's when you can know for certain whether or not she's worth pursuing. Best of luck.
/r/seduction12/01/11 03:02 PM

It's usually a bad idea to ask a girl to decide between you and another guy, especially if you've never had sex with her. It would have been better if you'd met with her in person and showed her (with kino) that you're into her. My guess is that it's probably not worth the effort to keep pursuing her, but you might still have a shot. My gut tells me that when she says, "I feel emotionally crazy. I'm all over the place." - that's probably not a good sign for you.
