I felt nauseous reading this. I’d cut ties with all of them. Not like she had a family to begin with when literally no one is there to defend her and she’s alone in all of this.

Everyone is asking if he forced her to say this to make him look better, because as of right now their happy couple brand image is going down the toilet.

The amount of backlash he got resulted in the wife sitting down to film another tik tok to explain to everyone “what a wonderful husband he is” because he sometimes does laundry and makes the bed. I’m so glad everyone in the comments are still giving them shit for it, telling her to leave him, and blink twice if she needs help.

Men have 0 reluctance/remorse to be selfish and cruel towards a woman when that woman no longer benefits them. They don’t hesitate to leave a situation they don’t like just to please everyone around them the way women are trained to please everyone. But women get attacked for having the same energy men get excused for.

Probably to emulate the way successful, rich rappers/rock musicians/artists act with the dgaf attitude about haters, but when a broke nobody does it it’s especially embarrassing

This is why you don’t tell male SO about trauma inflicted upon you by other men. They are unlikely empathize with you at best, and will turn it into their fetish and/or hold it against you at worst.

The op of the other post is asking whether she is setting women back and I think the answer to that is yes and no. By no means do I think it’s morally wrong to be a SAHM/SAHF, but I do not feel it is feminist given it’s not the safe/smart thing (for a woman especially) to do. All the women in my life who’ve made the decision to leave their jobs and stay at home to raise their children have made an incredible sacrifice that women do not get enough praise for, and it’s such a huge risk. However, m…

Deep down in their lizard brains they know they did you wrong and hurt you. Maybe he feels somewhat guilty for it and reaches out to scope out how you’re doing, not because he cares about you, but to check out of ego and curiosity whether you’re happy or depressed without him. When you respond to him all cheery and full of life again, it’s a confirmation to him that all that guilt was for nothing, and he will act like a POS again and ghost once he gets that housekeeping done in his conscience. But I would not contact him again ever, for closure or anything because he doesn’t deserve you trying to give him an explanation. Just ghost and block him on everything. He does not care about you I promise you. He might reach out only because he cares why you’re no longer giving him attention. Sending him messages like “so m…

Guy #2 sounds like he's negging you when he says he doesn't normally like blondes. Regardless of his subsequent mention of you "converting" him, I can't imagine any reason for any man to say that unless he wants to incite a reaction out of you. Whether it's conscious or subconscious, it's a statement said to make you defensive and feel like you somehow have to prove yourself to him by comparing you with his exes. Fuck that. Ummmmm this entire relationship is a hot mess express on both ends. I cant assume who’s in the wrong but I always give the benefit of the doubt to the pregnant woman, because 99% of the time the man must’ve acted like a total chode for her to sell his console and refuse him the bed. He’s not giving the whole story.

If this is true, I’m going to have to take the guy’s side on this. Because if the genders were reversed, and my fiancé acted like this, I’d leave him. Nowhere does it say he called her a gold digger or that he acted like one before he got his inheritance. She made him sign the documents and he adhered to all her demands. She had no issue protecting her assets from him (rightfully so), but the problem is her backtracking now that the prenup is no longer to her advantage. She’s being hypocritical.

It’s also what keeps women unsure of themselves. The whole needing to communicate advice is why so many women make clowns of themselves sending paragraphs of texts to men who couldn’t care less. And why they will finish thoroughly explaining themselves and still doubt and question whether they were thorough enough. Men will give the most vague response or say the dumbest shit and not lose any sleep over it, nor will he be blamed when the relationship goes south. It’s the woman that’s demonized f…

Same, I was like why is it productive to even admit that? Deep down inside she knows her struggle with her boyfriend’s weird porn habit goes hand in hand with the cheating/disrespect the other woman is dealing with, even if it seems like there’s no correlation, they’re bonding over the fact that they’re both doormats. She’s SO close to getting it.

I’m not talking about men who don’t have money, because if you’re broke, you’re broke and the topic isn’t worth discussing. I’m talking about the ones who are cheap for the sake of being cheap. If this is someone you’re supposedly in love with, pinching pennies because it’s not money spent on you doesn’t add up to me. That’s not love.

I’m not religious either, nor did I wait until marriage, but I also find waiting until marriage interesting, especially in the context of the Catholic Church. Pope John Paul II wrote a book called ‘Love & Responsibility’ in which he explains exactly why the church only condones sex within straight marriages (I’m not going to go into church theology on LGBTQ+ marriages because that’s a different can of worms). While it’s better to be a bitch than a doormat, I want to be somewhere in the Goldilocks middle-ground, so I find it’s best to move in silence. Be nice and sympathetic, but don’t give away your energy in larger quantities than is reciprocated back towards you. If a situation isn’t to your satisfaction, you don’t have to lash out to radiate bad bitch energy. The fact that you’re mad at your past self can be used to your benefit & you can take it as a blessing because cringing at your past self is a sign of growth. If you looked back and saw no flaws in your younger self, then you didn’t learn from your mistakes. Embrace the present you, and look up to future you as a role model, but it doesn’t mean you should hate on your past self. When you stop being an altruistic caregiver and nurturer with 0 reciprocation, they can’t take you for granted or start expecting it from you as a given. Men leave their wives and girlfriends when they fall ill because those men no longer have a nanny/chef/maid they believe is their right to have. They can’t feel deprived if they don’t feel entitled to those privileges in the first place.

They like to make all these metaphors to justify double standards. My favorite one I used to hear is “If you have a lock that opens to any key then it’s a faulty lock, but if you have a key that opens every lock, then it’s a master key,” which is used to praise men and shame women for the same thing. But you could also say “a pencil sharpener that sharpens every pencil is a quality sharpener, but a pencil that keeps getting sharpened is a nub.” These metaphors are so empty and meaningless and co…

It’s not just a stronger will, but the fact that societal repercussions in many parts of the world are often so much worse for women who partake in the same things men get away with. The risk of getting shunned by your community or having your husband beat you to a pulp and throw acid in your face outweighs any possible temptations you might have. It’s a negative feedback cycle that I find hard to trace within patriarchy.

My psychology professor back in high school told us that this behavior stems back to evolution. And claimed that men are naturally prone to sleep around because they have the energy to distribute their sperm to any and every potential partner because that’s the evolutionarily optimal thing to do for them. But women only have the energy for one pregnancy 9 months at a time and thus cannot be having sex at every whim, needing to chose their mates more wisely. Years later it still doesn’t sit well …

100%. It's very apparent that my male colleagues are so much nicer to me when I have makeup on versus when i'm barefaced. And it's not even different men. It's the same guys who are indifferent to me one day, and then acting like gentlemen, cracking jokes, and opening the door for me when i'm done up. It's not subtle enough for me to write it off as all in my head.

Pffffffff they're not even married. Should he decide he's no longer feeling it, she has no legal rights, and he can just kick her out of the house with nowhere to go. That's skydiving with a parachute you already know is faulty.

If you read through the posts on FDS, the accounts of so many women on here who have endured various forms of abuse at the hands of men and have come out of the other side, their experience and cost-benefit analysis shows that putting yourself in such a vulnerable position is not worth it. The risks outweigh the benefits. If men were more reliable than not, more loyal, mature, and loving than not, there would be no need for a sub like this. I only hope the best for you and that your partner is c…

Honestly, I don't really believe there is any love in men who act this way. You don't abuse your wife and give her hot and cold treatment depending on what your mood dictates. They regress to violence or throw tantrums when they don't have control in a situation, just like a toddler would. Women don't act this way because they're held more accountable for their actions while growing up by their parents, teachers, peers, etc.

I think it's important to be analytical with everything men do, meaning not only listen to actions, but take those actions with a grain of salt. It took me a lot of effort and contemplation to realize the positives don't cancel out the negatives. For example, before my parents got divorced, they would have such violent arguments, and my dad often got physical when he was losing them. I remember a specific incident where he grabbed her leg and dragged her across the living room floor, leaving her…

If she defines feminism based on her freedom of choice to be a SAHM, I get where she's coming from. Just like she has the freedom of choice to go to clown school and become a clown. But the ideology advocates for gender equality, and she is setting herself up to be extremely vulnerable against disloyalty, psychological abuse, financial abuse, and/or physical abuse. If shit hits the fan, she has very little insurance to offset his bullshit. It's not equality.

I’ve had a few friends do this to me. I get that being in a new relationship means you have less time to spend on other things, but to ignore your friends completely is a huge mistake IMO and they are shooting themselves in the foot. Because those same girlfriends that later get played by their boyfriends will come crying back to their friends in search of a support system and realize it’s not there anymore. I’m over it. The most pathetic case ever: I had a friend who was in a LDR with some dude…

When you were a kid and you begged your parents for a dog, there was a whole lecture about how in exchange for keeping it as a pet, you would have a whole new list of responsibilities that required you to take care of and provide for this animal. I don't think most men even consider a relationship as a responsibility wherein they need to be the provider anymore. Women are treated as less than dogs in many parts of the world.

I'm so glad you got out and are doing much better now. All of the women around me are so much happier when they're away from their boyfriends or husbands (whether they got out of the relationship, or took a break for a few hours to go out before said husband starts blowing up their phone again) which has lead to my questioning whether I've been tricked into thinking I need one. It has only resulted in stress so far. LOL kind of starting to believe it's a scam, and detrimental to women's health i…

I agree it won’t cure her, and she will live the rest of her life with this trauma. That’s why I said it’s the least. The marriage is doomed regardless, since he’s willingly spending long nights with her and kissing her. So I can’t really pin her as someone who’s “stealing” him when he’s the one letting all of this happen.

If I were the wife I’d just get a divorce. Yeah it’s painful and I feel sorry for the child, but their marriage is forever broken since he will pine for his ex more than ever. To live through so much trauma with the memory of someone you’re in love with being the only thing that’s getting you through it, I feel like getting him back to her is the least she deserves in terms of recovery. As long as he’s still in the child’s life, I don’t see a better option.

Oh 100%. We were friends while he was dating someone else and going through a breakup. Later I find out he was so distraught because he cheated on her, and when she left, he suddenly realized how much he “loved” her. After this sob fest was over, he asked me out two weeks later. I asked him, “what about your ex that you’re so desperate to win back??” He said he was over it. FOH I’m still cringing at myself for associating with that in the first place.

In the past I've fallen into the therapist role for a dude who would call me late at night to talk through his problems with me and cry, but admitted he couldn't do it in front of his frat friends bc they all called him a pussy. It's definitely bad. They act like this because women let them get away with it so they have no incentive to step up. You don't change what you're comfortable with. Someone on another post mentioned girls who are fwb with guys while still looking for a relationship by dating other guys are in a negative feedback cycle, since those same guys are fwb with other girls. It's a web; women as a collective need to untangle themselves out of it to see any change. So many guys are mad at FDS bc they know…

A lot of women would do well to start waking up from their delusions and stop baselessly assuming other women as their threat/competition/bitter rival.
