I think she is HV, because she’s rich and successful. 🤔 ... Being rich means literally nothing in terms of HV/LV. If someone is financially stable and wise with their money, great. But don't assume they're a HV person for this reason alone.

I'm hard pressed to think that that woman, who stayed with her husband for thirteen years just happened to be utterly clueless and missed a bunch of obvious signs. I agree. She likely wasn't clueless or missed signs. We can tell when a man is not fully engaged or committed to the relationship. Ignorance is bliss and some just don't have the self-esteem to leave and move on. Especially with kids in the mix, I can imagine.

There was a good comment about that recently. Love bombing is impersonal. A man who desires you will remember specifics; what you like, what you've mentioned, etc. Combine that with your intuition.

I once heard a metaphor that forgiveness is like a horse in a round pen: if your thoughts keep returning to someone and how they wronged you, it's like a horse running around and around in a pen. Open the gate and let it out. Forgive the idiocy, the stupidity, the low effort, the manipulation. If the horse gets in again and the gate blows shut, forgive again. There will come a time when you'll suddenly notice you haven't thought about the guy in a long time, and that's the gift of forgiveness: t…

Poor woman. Men know almost immediately when they meet "the one." Men who drag their feet to commit are holding out for someone better to come along, while wanting regular sex.

I despise cooking/cook very few things. Made this abundantly clear to my bf of 1 month (known for 1.5 yrs) and he handles all meals when we're together. He won't let me pick up my plate after we're done; he cooks, cleans it all up, then packs me the leftovers. When he had to isolate due to covid exposure he sent a 200$ ubereats gift card.

I dated an addict and he called AA and NA meetings "show & shines" ... lol. As in, people get done up to try impress each other. I went to a number of meetings with him. To me it was just a lot of disgusting and sexually frustrated men preying on vulnerable women.

My best friend (out of a total of two friends, one of which I communicate with infrequently), is a pickme and makes poor choices with men and her current boyfriend.. an addict of 20 years who is 12 years her senior. She is otherwise intelligent and we connect deeply. I've mentioned FDS once but never more than once. It's up to her to look into it. After finding FDS, I did a lot of soul searching. Learned about attachment style, feminine energy, and how to graciously receive. After doing the work on myself, the most incredible man found me and has been pursuing relentlessly and consistently. We've known each other for 1.5 years but began dating in December. No kissing or sex yet, of course. He remembers everything I say and express interest in. I don't lift a finger and haven't paid for a thing when we're together. He runs around to open d…

I don't mind if I have to hype it up as THE BEST THING EVER and promise countless BJs to get him to do it, I'll do it. I'm not even sure I'd want to go through with this. shrugs I'd probably pay for the appointment without doing it. I sure hope you wouldn't a) offer bjs as incentive (joking or otherwise) or b) book, and pay. Just leave, block, and delete. Don't overthink it.

I don't find this to be a hot take at all. I've dated some immature as fuck men and even they agreed that pubic hair is normal and healthy. Definitely pedophilic tendencies if a man wants bald (like he even has a fucking say 🤣).

I see where you're coming from. But it's possible to have an abundance mindset while also acknowleging that HVM are rare. I think it's unfortunate to discourage such a way of thinking when it's something that should be applied to life in general and not just men, as men should never be a focus. Having an "abundance" mindset toward men is a recipe for disaster, we can all agree with that. Don't forget.. being a personal chauffeur! How can they get to their full potential if they have to waste money on a car and gas? If I hadn't already forgiven myself, I'd still be up at night thinking about the amount of $ I spent and the mileage I put on my car driving an ex (addict) around to his construction job on the other side of the planet. Then doubling back to my own workplace. Yuck.

There's just... so much to unpack. I get the sense she's pulling off some triangulation tactics (consciously or subsconsciously) by mentioning rando guy to the husband. I assume she doesn't get the attention she so clearly craves from the lOvE oF hEr LiFe. Sounds like they both hate eachother.

No one can say I didn’t try Sis 💓 we've been conditioned to think that it's good and commendable to try. If I don't feel the vibe with someone.. if they say the wrong things.. look at me the wrong way.. if I just decide I don't really like them anymore for any reason at all.. I'm gone! Without trying! Interestingly when I lost my hair and was lookin real weird (unattractive by society's standards), I interviewed and was successful for a job with a 20k salary increase. Life has been on a steady uphill trajectory since finding my confidence. Personally I think the majority of success is directly related to attitude. Lovely reminder. I've always received attention from men and consider myself a conventionally attractive woman. Then I unexpectedly lost my breasts and had to undergo chemo. My hair fell out and I shaved it. My eyebrows fell off, and eyelashes too. My skin broke out from stress and meds. I was suddenly thrown into a world where people made very little eye contact. No attention, from men or women. At first it was jarring and disturbing. Then it was freeing. I had the same respect as always from t…

That is one of the worst "tips" I've ever seen. It doesn't make sense. That's not what femininity is. Activating my feminine energy (my ability to receive) changed my life. I have been healing from traumas and feel empowered over men. There is a misguided idea that femininity is pink, flouncy, always happy, and submissive. No. A woman who is truly in touch with her feminine energy is empowered. Personally I think hating on femininity in general is harmful. Too many stereotypes have tainted the w…

I guess my point is, don't have a man do your bidding. Then in their eyes you owe them and you can't handle your own. Be strong, because we are much stronger than men. 'Grey rock' them. My first boyfriend was a qUiEt and sHy boy and he was utterly USELESS. He was never concerned about protecting me. I can't begin to count how many times I would make fun weekend plans (my pickme ass making the plans), and he would conveniently forget in order to go "jam" (🤮 hate that word) with the bros. Ugh I shudder. I was then told - after being ditched for months at a time so they could go tour and binge drink - that he enjoyed seeing "how far" he could flirt with women before considering it cheating. Did I mention I would send him money that he would promptly spend on…

I'll be honest that I find these questions a bit juvenile and lacking substance. As the top commenter pointed out, best to stick with more open-ended questions. What kind of porn do you like? This is a tough one. I don't think it's a common question to ask as there are so many pickmes who promote it. A lot of men are catching on to this and will lie. Personally I would change the wording to something along the lines of: "what are your kinks?" Be sly and playful with tone. If he says "ohnooononew…

I've purposefully never participated in OLD because I can't stand to put myself through that kind of headache. Disheartening and laughable, and it was so sad to see the screenshots of what I was trying to avoid, in the one place I felt safe. Can't believe people wade through that bog. I won't date men who regularly consume energy drinks. It's a repulsive habit; their lifestyle is usually horrific and they tend not to care about themselves.

That's a good point to think about. If you were to bring it up out of the blue, and depending on tone and what you're doing in that moment, it could come across as an insecure request for validation.

In past experience when a guy said that I was amazing, I stopped everything, made hard eye contact and asked him to elaborate on WHY so amazing. Of course he started to sweat and couldn't give specifics because he was so self absorbed and hadn't actually been paying attention. You won't need to bring it up first. A guy will either say it and be lying or will say it and can back it up. You're not groveling for compliments, you're questioning their sincerity. Nothing pickme about that.

I am all for strategy over depravity, check my post history. That said, it is necessary. As another commenter pointed out, we're undoing years of conditioning. Many of us have been in horrific relationships that presented well in public or had many outward green flags, but were abused, manipulated, gaslighted, etc. So yes, here in this sub we approach comments about men with a healthy dose of skepticism. I know exactly two things outside of work: he is religious—the sort of Christian who absolutely embodies Christian values and never really talks about it unless you ask—and he plays violin at an advance level in his church’s orchestra. With a bilateral salpingectomy (removal of fallopian tubes), there are 0 hormonal changes. Your uterus stays, everything still functions normally and you continue to get a period. I didn't want to disturb my natural hormones either as I'm young. Do you think mods would have allowed this post if it went against FDS? No. A person has both masculine and feminine inside. A balanced person has embodied the healthy versions of both. Some people work hard and can never bring themselves to accept things done for them (think people pleasers). This is unhealthy masculine energy. If someone can work hard and then graciously receive something from their partner, that's both managed healthily. Lots of confusion here and I can only blame myself for n…

my HVM loves to feel needed and so did my LV ex but the difference between a HVM and a LVM is that you actually have things to express gratitude for with the former whereas you’re scrounging to something to “thank” him for with the latter. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/08/21 01:21 AM

Hey! No need to go to the extent of testing. This type of dynamic in a relationship should eventually naturally help with the shift in levels. About hormones was a "fun fact", if you will. You don't need to be girly to practice receiving; even if it's something like smiling and saying "I appreciate that" (or whatever) to a compliment from a stranger, if it makes you feel good. And I am sorry to hear about your discomfort. I hope you find some comfort at times.

Preaching to the choir! Totally, I get it. Sis I wasted years of my life on a narcissist methhead junkie, another dude who had a girlfriend already, the list goes on. Seen and heard it all now. I understand the art of manipulation. But in hindsight there were signs. I would say usually there always are even if slight. Have to keep our cards close initially and guard our vulnerability in the early/mid stages.

We'll never get away from using these phrases if we keep using them. Especially as women. Sure some things just are because we've made it that way as a society; it doesn't mean I have to accept them. If a man considers women to be lesser than, that should be apparent from vetting his behaviour and interactions before committing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/21 07:04 PM

I wish people would stop using the "bros before hos" phrase. I hate that word. It's an odd choice of title I must say. As another commenter pointed out, vet their friends and interactions before committing to a relationship.

I had a double mastectomy in April at 27, and learned about my cancer only 4 months into dating. He never budged despite me giving him an out. He offered to wipe for me during recovery, he changed my lightbulbs, he reno'ed my deck, cooked, cleaned, grocery shopped, and made sure to tell me regularly how beautiful I am. A hvm should have a good temperment and the ability to emotionally regulate. Yelling is so unnecessary. My man has displayed endless patience and I expect nothing less. I regained self-respect and respect from others. I've been dating my boyfriend a little under 1 year. When he does things for me - which is all the time - I make a point of telling him how his action/deed makes me feel and it encourages him ... "when you cook a delicious meal and run a bath for me, I feel so warm and cherished." And he beams like a little boy, racing off to do the next thing for me. Often couples don't thank eachother for the little things. It's like training a dog honestly.

We have to be highly aware of our thought process in life in general. You don't have to be dreaming about dirty old men to "attract" them. But if you have bitter etc. thoughts they'll sure show up more - or maybe we're more aware of them - based off personal experience.

I don't follow celebrities etc nor do I have social media outside of reddit, so picking someone famous is hard to gauge. It's important not to fall into a scarcity mindset. HVM exist and we attract what we put out there. If you are angry, upset, and generally disappointed, how do you think your energy feels to others? It can be off-putting and it can be hard to find HV female friends as well in that state of mind. I shifted my mindset and nearly immediately met a suspected HVM. We began dating late summer 2020. Mere months later I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer which resulted in the loss of my breasts…

If they can respect POCs, they should be able to respect women and other minorities too. I feel a lot of what's going on these days with White people "respecting" POC through their instagram posts or rally attendance or whatever, isn't respect.. but rather virtue signalling. It's a trend right now. So the respect isn't actually there, for POC or women.

I've spent too much of my working life de-escalating situations and have seen too many horrific assault and death videos to get too confrontational with most people now. I'm glad you're safe. Feeling ashamed is just a part of the process. I let a man slam meth into his neck, IN MY BATHROOM. Girl... we've all played the stupid games and won the stupid prizes. There are layers to healing and it takes time. Months and years. Harness that shame, guilt, anger, and turn it into personal power. You are WISER, and you are RESILIENT. You aren't 100% familiar with what we believe in here and that's okay. It's not about how you feel about the relationship. Guys don't care. His view of it may be different. I only say this based on experience. I thought I had positive platonic relationships with men, but they were a sham.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 08:14 PM
0

What's harsh? FDS has never been okay with male friends. They rarely exist.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 08:08 PM

Your best guy friend wants to fuck you, and watches porn. Gross... he'd be no friend of mine.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/21 08:01 PM
4

You've described it perfectly. If they can grasp the concept of mirroring you in that way it's an indicator of their emotional intelligence and ability to pick up on detail. Even though it's not that hard. I'll add that not only are they needy and insecure, but some constantly harass as a way to know what you're doing all the time. God forbid talking to other men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/06/21 12:16 AM
21

Platonic guy friends don't typically exist; this is an energy vampire. If they're not trying to fuck you, they're trying to gain your attention and eat up your time. Glad to hear you're not responding. Fully cease contact asap. Nothing positive ever comes from these types.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 05:08 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 04:50 PM

I proudly say I've never signed up for or used OLD. Sadly the losers still find us and have no problem trying to start a chat. There is no shortage of unabashed men. But if we live fully, gratefully, and don't have a desperate need for attention, we attract good people naturally.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 04:26 PM

I will hate who hates me I think 'pity' would be a better word.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 04:18 PM

Or the reverse, "sOrRy iVe bEeN sO qUiET tOdAy!!!!" When he's sending 2 memes per hour or telling you about lunch today with no replies from you. Admitting he's sending nothing of substance. Calling out your "lack of response" in a weird passive way using himself instead. Trying to sap some sort of constant communication.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 03:24 PM
19

Texting with your friends is different than a man texting you during the dating stages. A "hectic texter" in male form, IME, signifies instability or a need for attention.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 03:18 PM
7

Why can't he think of one thing to say and let you respond? Yep. This is basic respect to me. Especially when initially getting to know someone. Phone conversations are best, when you're not on a date, etc. Texting should not be a regular form of communication. And when it's about nothing important?.. I don't have the time.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/21 03:15 PM

I find these videos so cringe. I think seeing examples of high class, real proposals would be a better alternative. We know how low the bar is, it's all around in real life. Now we have faked videos of trash behaviour.🤦‍♀️

Make them 👏 fucking 👏 work. 👏 Mens testosterone levels are fucking whack right now. They're so used to being fawned over by pickmes. When a MAN GIVES, his testosterone goes up. When a woman receives, so does her estrogen. This creates a healthier, more balanced relationship dynamic. Those in LTRs with HVM, have many nights where he gives to you completely, sexually. No reciprocation. It's beneficial to both.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/06/21 03:41 PM

Why does he only make meals for himself? Easy to make two more when the supplies are out. Unless there's more to this. Him making breakfast for you and your child shouldn't be considered 'extra'?

She also says that guys get really comfortable once you offer to go 50/50...That's coz the guy now knows that you don't see yourself as a prize and he assumes that you are on his level which is really below the earth's core. 👏 when men GIVE, their testosterone goes up. When we receive, our estrogen increases; the relationship dynamic is healthier and as it should be. And your point on women thinking they're trapped in a cage after saying 'yes' ... so sad. Knowing that you can leave at any moment…

Disgusting. I sometimes wonder about needing to jump from the balcony. Mine ended up being drug addicted. After removing him from my home, I spent that same night at my parents. Even the ones that state "do not copy" on them (secure building key)... can be copied in a machine at some stores. You likely won't be able to get new secure building keys as the entire building would then need them. But certainly your apartment or home key.

It feels amazing! 💓 We get a bad name over here, but I couldn't care less. I know my truth and the moronic windbags that shit talk this sub have no clue. I have high expectations for special occasion gifts, without shame. Many men are worthless, regardless of income. Let their actions speak. When men do/give, their testosterone levels rise. My suspected HVM is not well off by any means, but when we're together he always: • buys snacks and groceries • cooks for me • gets small gifts when he sees something I'd like • drives across cities to pick me up/drop me off (including picking up craiglist items for me in diff cities) • makes my tea or coffee • fills my beverages • carries my bags These are a handful of examples, and all of the points that cost money are done without ever complaining about price. 100%. They can find a pickme pretty much anytime, anywhere. So they're always looking. Women have a hard time finding HV men. So when we stop looking, we lose that air of desperation and attract higher quality people. Since I stopped seeking a man and adopted FDS principles ~two years ago, I've met someone who treats me like a queen and does/is what you've described in your post.

Those are great questions. I feel many men ask the exact opposite when they're looking; Is she financially stable? Can she offer me something I don't already have? Does she have endless time for me? Can she make me happy?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/04/21 11:58 PM

The more they get away with treating you like shit, the less incentive there is for them to end things. It's like a buffet that they don't have to pay for; take what they want with nothing returned. You're so strong.

You dodged a bullet. It hurts to end things with someone that you got involved with so young; it makes sense that you're feeling sad and doubtful. There is far better out there, though. And the good news is, you're already associated with the very best... yourself. You did nothing wrong by ending the relationship. Nothing lost, and everything gained. Allow yourself to feel the feels, but also recognize that there's likely built up sadness due to how you were treated. I can feel the hurt just rea…

You may be interested in looking into your "attachment style" ... you can heal yourself! I would break up with N/LV men and feel similar to what you describe. But you have to look at the reasons behind the breakup; if it helps, write a list. Seeing things on paper gives good clarity.

🙋‍♀️ my symptoms were intense acne flare-ups, joint pain, and disordered eating. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 26 (all gone now yay), and I can't help but chalk it up to some traumas, working years in a high stress job, and then coming home to an alcoholic LVM at night who contributed nothing.

Yes. I know a small handful. But I would always wonder, how to figure out if they do? If you straight up ask a man if he watches porn he'll either say yes, lie, or you'll be left uncertain. On a sub dedicated to porn free relationships, one member provided a valuable question to ask a man: "What kind of porn do you watch?" 😊 You can say this coyly, without sounding accusatory, and I'd imagine more often than not you'll receive an honest answer.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/04/21 03:18 PM

It's strategic incompetence. Some of them only do it because they have their sad girlfriends picking it all up in the background. I've witnessed generally tidy men devolve into someone who does nothing, based on the enabling behaviours of their girlfriend.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/04/21 07:56 PM

He's part of the laughing stock of humanity. His gf - if she won't leave his ass - needs to assert a boundary here and take him up on ‼️his suggestion‼️ to only look after herself. No cooking for or cleaning up behind him. If his mess accumulates into something too large to mentally handle, maybe it will serve as a good reminder that he is trash incarnated.

I wasted way too much time on a guy who was handsome, ripped, relatively intelligent in a book-smarts sense, and a self-proclaimed "Man of God." He was also a sex-addicted meth junkie who cheated multiple times at "massage parlours" and with women from NA meetings. The fucking horror. I still can't believe it.

It took a lot of time dedicated to personal growth and being strict with myself. Lots of reading and tears. But how wonderful that you found it! One thing that helped me was to keep in mind that the world has good people in it. For all the male depravity content we see here, there are also good men out there. I had to work hard to not fall into a scarcity mindset. HVM are certainly rare, but they exist. Try not to get too down about things like that initially.

Not at all what I'm trying to get across, it's easy to misunderstand online. I think a man of quality will have no issues pursuing and investing, without expecting anything in turn aside from a serious relationship, if the woman has made it clear that that's what she interested in as well (monogamy and committment).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/04/21 10:01 PM
8

I'm not advocating for "excitement, chase, and drama." FDS taught me to receive and allow myself to be invested in and pursued. That will show you how serious a man is. I can still be pursued while maintaining warmth and building a connection. It's about allowing myself to be invested in.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/04/21 09:47 PM

Yes, there's more to the picture. It wasn't hands and knees groveling, he's an affectionate man and I'm much less so. We have been dating since early summer 2020 so I would say "suspected" HVM based off his actions, morals, values and integrity displayed so far. It's still too early to say HV without doubt.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/04/21 09:40 PM

I think it's nature; the male has to work hard to win over the female, as it should be. You can be loving and sensual without being sexual.
