You being scared to piss them off is part of what gives them power over you in the first place! They deserve to be insulted, ignored, whatever it is.

Yes, that's actually partially what I meant, I'm just hesitant to say anything controversial here due to the recent bannings of other subs! I'm not a "person who menstruates," I am a woman, and if I'm not allowed to call myself a woman, well I don't want to join their club.

Removing toxic people from our lives opens up space for the right kind of people to come in. Unfortunately, the right people usually don't come in until the wrong people are gone.

Do you have examples of people who lost their jobs for having respectful dissenting opinions? Mostly I've just seen racists getting exposed and called out. I'm okay with it.

VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure you are reporting directly to the reddit admins. Clicking "report" on a post only sends a report to the mods of that subreddit so you need to do it through www.reddit.com/report !! Please note I am NOT advising that users brigade that sub. That would be against Reddit’s TOS, please don’t brigade. However, if you do see something that needs to be reported, these are the correct steps to getting the content removed.

One of the rules to posting in this subreddit is to thoroughly read the handbook before posting. Not only that, you came expecting us to do emotional labor for you without having read the rules first which is exactly what we advocate against. That’s why people (including myself) care. I’m sorry you found my comments aggressive - I am direct so that the message will come across. Sugarcoating the message dilutes it. I hope you’ll also be well!

Oh, great, thanks for giving me permission! Really appreciate it. You should use this backbone with the men you date. Also, to clarify, I had no trouble reading or comprehending the content. It just pissed me off because novels about women having no boundaries don't belong in this sub.

A good therapist who has done their own work shouldn’t have pickme traits. Pickme traits get eradicated when doing that deep emotional healing. Good therapists are all about boundaries which PickMe’s don’t have.

Change doesn’t happen overnight. Many of us have been on our level up journey for years. Focusing on yourself instead of relationships is a start, bc it sounds like you’re not at a healthy place to date.

This is true to a point. Once you glow tf up, you’ll have HVM and LVM knocking at your door. LVM are the only ones trying to tear the damn door down.

Read the handbook, block your ex. If you can’t be alone without feeling crushing loneliness, professional therapy would be a good route to help you work that out.

Yes, when trauma is at the forefront of your mind it will be attractive to those who wish to exploit and abuse it. This is why trauma informed therapy is so important. I hope you are getting help too. When you are able to get to a place that the trauma doesn’t live constantly in your consciousness (it takes professional help, I know from experience), you may notice a difference with the people you attract into your life. I hope you find healing. <3

Only 7 months? Girl, you know you need to quit this man before that length of time gets any longer! as much as I’m trying to overhaul my pickmeisha ways, I’m terrified I won’t find anyone better. Being alone and able to work on loving yourself is a far better and more rewarding state of being than the push-pull relationship you're in now. Yes, it was also helpful for me to know why my parents divorced. However, her mother telling her at 15 about "every disgusting thing" her father did is not healthy or really okay, and it is indeed parentification.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 04:53 AM
4

I feel once men get sex from a woman a switch goes off in their brain and if he isn’t already enamored by her he will rarely get there. I 100% agree with this.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 03:37 AM
13

In your case it's called parentification, where your parent tells you things that you are just too young to know, and makes you provide emotional support to them. It's not fair to put all that on you at a young age because it makes you grow up too fast and takes away your opportunity to just be a kid. Our parents are supposed to protect us from stuff like that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 03:36 AM

Not just that, but that line can literally be used against her in court because it's considered "parental alienation."

I’m sick of seeing people from other subs think this one is just where raging land whales go to demand Channing Tantums while being ugly, lazy, and entitled themselves. Hey, please know that they don't actually think that! It's a form of negging to make us feel bad, or feel like we need to prove that we're not bad women. They're pissed that we're helping other women learn standards and love themselves. Don't worry what a bunch of incel losers or RP wannabes say about FDS. <3

Well, when you’re unable to have a conversation and/or receive feedback without getting defensive and emotional, it is a sign of immaturity.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/06/20 09:56 PM
4

Plus, you say you’re scared of being single and that is not what FDS is about. Time to level up. If you’re not happy in your relationship, leave it. If you are happy in your relationship, stay. But don’t expect strangers to validate your decisions or perform free couples therapy for you. Our responses are general for a reason - this is more of a dating strategy sub and less of a relationship support sub unless you want to apply FDS to your relationship.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/06/20 08:29 PM

You should be careful that your desire for a relationship isn’t actually a desire to get the love you never got (and should have gotten) as a child. HVW work out their traumas before trying to really date!

I definitely interpret their body language differently. They look close and like they could be dating. And since we don’t know the truth other than the words in the pic, I’m inclined to go with the “they’re dating” interpretation. I don’t know many gorgeous women who get so close to a strange guy they just met, and definitely no high value ones.

Check out shera7 on YouTube. MJ Harris on YouTube is good too. Also read “Why Men Love Bitches.” A good way to have self respect is by walking away from some asshole who “isn’t sure” about you anymore. Standing up for ourselves grows our self respect, while shrinking ourselves down to be loved erodes it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/06/20 04:50 PM

I think I read it the opposite way. I read it as not settling for anything ever and vetting ruthlessly for what we want, which is FDS approved.

Echoing what the commenter said, therapy would be a very good option to help you work through your feelings here! This is just a bit above our pay grade, we can’t really tell you if you have attachment issues or depression or if you love your boyfriend enough. To me it sounds like it could be a case of looking for problems to help justify some internal feeling or fear, but I’m not a therapist and could be wrong.

I would say 25 & under because of life experience reasons. But I'll also say that your early 20's are best spent leveling yourself up, practice dating guys but focus on yourself. The 3 months suggestion is from when you first start dating afaik but some of us like to go longer. If you have severe trust & abandonment issues, it's important to work on those before dating. If those issues are still at play, you will very likely not be able to be happy in a relationship. Those issues also lead to ch…

I think we are speaking past each other because I’m not going to give the time of day to a man who isn’t pursuing me and making time with me. I’m busy living my life. Dating got much easier for me though after I learned about masculine vs feminine energies and how to stay in my own feminine energy. Adrienne Everheart on YouTube talks about it a lot. :) If you are sitting around wondering if you should text a man, you already lost. I don’t text men.

I totally agree with what you’re saying. I think attachment styles are used to make women do extra labor in our relationships and/or stay in crappy/wrong situations. It causes us to analyze things like this instead of just leaving (when we should just leave). However I do think everyone should know their own attachment style. Learning about attachment styles helped me figure out why I was attracted to avoidant types, and why those situations caused me so much confusion and pain. Now I apply that…

Yeah, I definitely agree with you. I wasn’t suggesting anyone fall for a LVM excuse about needing space. It’s just that understanding masculine/feminine energy can be helpful for someone who might not have that full of a plate right now, and people do need their space in relationships.

Trauma informed therapy is a great treatment for trauma. It can be incredibly validating for the patient. For me personally it was life changing. I did all of the work and my healing came from within but I needed professional guidance. Just like you’d hire an electrician to rewire your house, it’s good to have a professional help you rewire your brain.

Men who call women girls are ick in general.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/05/20 07:33 PM
5

I mean this as nicely as possible... but how come you need so much attention in the early days? Your own life should be engaging and fulfilling too! Wanting so much contact early on is going to be a red flag for HVM. Just like we need men to have engaging lives and not get their happiness solely from talking to us!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/05/20 05:52 PM
25

It’s complicated why they do it. The cycle of “mean and sweet” can be very confusing and disorienting, particularly when this person has spent time gaining your trust and maybe your self esteem is already low or you’re vulnerable because you’re going through something. I’ve had a shitload of therapy and won’t ever end up in that situation again, but I do understand how it can happen. If someone isn’t educated about abuse, they may not even realize they are being abused. It’s tragic.

Some might argue that the masculine/feminine energy needs space to thrive sometimes. Why Men Love Bitches explains it pretty well. Men need space sometimes, I think it’s pretty universal. And a woman who gives them space and can keep herself happy whether or not they’re around is a green flag for HVM. Now I’m not talking about dating someone who is avoidant or unhealthy with how they go about this. There is a happy medium to be reached. If the guy disappears and then comes back “missing you,” ki…

Unfortunately this is so true. My “bff” told me (“as a favor”) that these boys we knew were talking about me being ugly. We were in 6th grade. I honestly thought I was ugly after that, and would look in the mirror for hours trying to understand just what features were so ugly. I don’t really need your ego to tell my ego where I went wrong! Spiritual journeys are incredibly personal and powerful, we each need to take our own path. This is all really great, but it’s important to keep our feet rooted firmly on the ground despite synchronicities when it comes to men. I was really certain that my ex bf had been led to me by the universe. I still am , but the reasons are not nice like I originally thought. I needed to learn a very painful and heartbreaking lesson through that relationship, and I did, and I suffered some very tough months because of it. I would have walked away sooner were I not 100% convinced he was my soulmat…

Him continuing to see anyone at all during a global pandemic is very telling of his crappy personality and lack of regard for others. Also, any man can pretend to be high value for a couple of months if they want to. I decided that I’m not going to assign any man that title until I’ve known him for a year. Not that I’m meeting any men while on quarantine - I won’t have to worry about this for a while. :)

We have interests and hobbies that are fulfilling. We do things every day for ourselves just because we love ourselves. We work on improving ourselves for our own sake. Self-improvement that comes from a place of self-love and wanting better for yourself leads to a higher self-worth and positive feelings about self. If we have mental health issues, we go to therapy/treatment and commit to working on ourselves. If we don’t know what would make us happy, we spend time in therapy working that out t…

Not only is that man cheating on his wife, but he’s ignoring quarantine rules and putting his family even further at risk with his behavior. What trash!

Yes! It’s almost the plot of Secret Obsession on Netflix. It’s depraved.

There are healthier ways! This is not someone I’d want to be friends with. Our lives are not competitions. Me doing my best won’t hinder you from doing your best. OP isn’t laughing at her friends misery but she sure is relishing the possibility!

I’m not at risk of getting very sick from it either and I’ve not hung out with any friends in 6 weeks now. The whole point of staying home / shelter in place / quarantine is to protect those vulnerable populations. Don’t be selfish! Elderly and obese people’s lives still matter.

I do see what you’re saying, but I also agree with the commenter above. This is a weird time. I haven’t seen my friends or literally anyone since the last weekend in February because my state has a shelter in place order and I live alone. We can spread the virus even when asymptomatic so it’s important to follow the order. Maybe they’ve decided to shelter in place together - that would make sense during this time. The advice I would give is to be patient, take your own space when you need to, an…

Right? I would rather be live my entire fabulous life alone than even date someone who thinks like that.

He literally told her he’s going to kill her in the 3rd video. How unbelievably sad.

That’s what I was thinking. My abusive narcissistic ex used to “jokingly” put me down and “jokingly” act hateful towards me. These videos and the looks he gives her remind me so much of that. I hope she comes out of denial soon and I hope she has a good support system.

If someone says shit like that, just leave the date. Go home. You now know where that persons mind is at, and it’s not worth it! If you really must say something to them, how about “ew!” And then leave. :)

So the first step is recognizing that this is happening and that you want to work to have calmer reactions. You’ve done that, so that’s good! It takes a lot of practice to change a habit, but it can be changed if you want it to. Practicing mindfulness meditation can really help with patience. It trains your brain (eventually) to notice what is happening and eventually help you gain the space to make different choices in the moment. Working with a therapist can also be really helpful. I used to g…

They don’t have to, but my friends and I enjoy treating each other and giving small thoughtful gifts. I’m talking less than $20.

I see what you’re saying, but that’s not the perspective we were asking men to take. If you were a man, would you be attracted to and want to date the woman you are now? That’s what these men were asked to envision, in reverse. And most of them couldn’t.

I see what you’re saying. I can also see a woman who already knows her bf likes porn, and she claims to be “enforcing boundaries” by trying to control or monitor his porn use. When to me the true enforcement of boundaries looks different. She shouldn’t try to change him, she should just leave. She can’t control whether he watches porn or not, but she can control if she is in that relationship.

He’s also showing that he doesn’t respect her point of view or what she says she needs, by continuing to push and push. He doesn’t care about her wellbeing.

You can be mad! That’s totally irresponsible behavior and unfortunately shows what your friend is about. I know we all need friends but yikes!

Ugh. When someone continues to push and reason with me after I’ve already said no, It tells me they’ll always be pushing my boundaries. Immediate next. Good for you for standing your ground.

You are really reaching here. Not wanting to be solely valued on her “tits” does not mean she wants to be with a man who isn’t attracted to her. Are you in seventh grade?!

Or maybe men should be clear that they’re being nice to get sex, and not pretend to be our friends... if you’re acting like my friend, why should I assume you’re actually just trying to fuck?

She’s talking about dating which has different qualifications vs. just a sex partner. Also, not all women are into casual sex. Also, you just proved her point 😂

That does apply in places like Sweden, but affirmative action in the US does not mean that a less qualified person will get the job over a more qualified person just because of their skin color or gender. That’s absurd.
