Left holding the baby...To be honest we never talked about this pre baby. We talked about both wanting children and naively it never even crossed my mind to ask how he would accommodate one within his lifestyle. I think we both assumed less "give" would be necessary than is the case right now, and I never questioned that he would be a good dad - he is, in the sense that when he's with her he's very good with her, it's just not as often as I assumed it would be. He is going out much less than before - he used to go out … | /r/RedPillWomen | 17/06/23 06:18 PM
Left holding the baby...I see where you're coming from, but I guess I feel that a traditional wife, in that sense, wouldn't be going to work at all? Whereas I will be. She'll be at nursery. And I take your point about date night, probably a very valid one... | /r/RedPillWomen | 17/06/23 04:39 PM
This one woman...Yes I think you're probably right. He doesn't see her on her own. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 09:29 PM
This one woman...So I've asked this before. They all met travelling so he says it's always been the case that she doesn't invite their partners, but they're all quite chilled out so I don't think anyone has brought it up before. It's made a bit muddier by the fact they all have children, so I think if they come out by default their wives have to stay at home and babysit. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 09:28 PM
This one woman...Also I might try that again tonight and just say look, I'd have liked to have been there tonight, I think I'd have enjoyed it. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 09:17 PM
This one woman...They literally just go for drinks or dinner together. I like that idea but I think the issue is he already knows now that I don't like her. I've tried a similar response in the past and his reply is "well you wouldn't want to come if she did ask you". But I like your edit idea, maybe I'll try that next. Thank you! | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 09:14 PM
Homemaking: Tips, Tricks, and QuestionsDon't know if you have them in the States but I love by Shark vacuum, it's awesome! And it has a setting for wood floors. We have a tradition where we go on like a Christmas date just the two of us :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 09:05 PM
This one woman...Thanks for replying. Very nice advice! The thing is I don't get why he thinks she's a bit weird too and still wants to hang out with her? But sure you're right. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/12/21 08:57 PM
Was I rude? Another way to handle this?To me it sounds like she said something a bit stupid because she was nervous and trying to ingratiate herself with you. I would have ignored it and moved onto something else. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/02/21 03:06 PM
Just thoughtsThis made me sad. You sound like a very nice person and he is not being nice to you. The things you describe are not normal. However hard it is you need to find someone else - he will tell you you are wrong about this, but you're not. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/11/20 12:57 PM
What is your least favourite household chore and how do you make it tolerable? This resonated so much! I feel like whenever I mop I manage to mop myself into a corner where i cant leave, haha! | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/07/20 01:21 PM
How to appear thin if you have awful bone structure?I know I'm just a stranger on the internet, but in my opinion you don't need to lose weight, you look great. Just saying. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/05/20 02:36 PM
BurnoutYeah, totally is! You can make the best cheat's fish pie this way. Layer of spinach, layer of mixed fish/nice big prawns, small pot of double/heavy cream, top with instant mash. Properly delicious. The pancakes sound really nice, will look them up! | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/05/20 02:44 PM
BurnoutGood idea, I do this too. And if you batch something like a huge tomato sauce you can reuse it four different ways (e.g. chilli, shepherds pie, marinara etc.), so it's not like all the meals are the same. Plus, I love a good cooking hack – favourite one is using frozen mashed potato. On it's own it's not great but add loads of butter, wholegrain mustard or horseradish, a bit of cream and plenty of salt and pepper and I honestly don't think people can tell the difference. Also pancakes for breakf… | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/05/20 02:17 PM
BurnoutDo you think maybe you could go easier on the cooking? Not stop but maybe don't aim for cordon bleu every time, if that's what you're doing?! I love cooking but have also got cooking fatigue recently, so for a couple of weeks I switched to really simple, minimum effort stuff – salads, sausages and peas, anything I could bung in the oven without really thinking about it (hello chicken goujons...). Took literally seconds and now I'm feeling a bit more creative. Also how old are your kids? Maybe if… | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/05/20 01:44 PM
I feel some type of wayCompletely agree with all the below – you should be sharing this, and he should be respectful of your efforts. Just wanted to offer a different tac for whoever is cleaning – that seems like hours worth of work to me! Do you do a deep clean every day? I work and I do a deep clean once a week, and the rest of the time I just do the basics - tidying, wiping down surfaces, making the bed and spraying to so it looks and smells nice. Could you/both of you ease off on your expectations a bit? As a tota… | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/08/19 10:41 AM

Bedtime boo-boos...Yeah, I think that's it. Once I'm asleep he thinks if he's quiet I wont wake up... but I always do! And for the headphones suggestion, it's a bit of a weird set up with a projector, but might suggest he watch stuff no his laptop in future. Thanks all! | /r/RedPillWomen | 07/08/19 10:23 AM
Hello ladies! Can anyone suggest hobbies to get into? I’ve been wanting to find one that I can do long term and get into, hopefully make some friends at the same time.Drawing? | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/08/19 05:01 PM
Bedtime boo-boos...Hmm, I think he'd just say it's not that big a deal to him, it's only half an hour or so...etc. but will try anyway. | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/08/19 10:18 AM
Bedtime boo-boos...Hmm, he likes to read in bed so think maybe we need like a bedside table and a lamp? Good thinking though. thanks | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/08/19 08:58 AM
Bedtime boo-boos...Good idea! I have an eye mask somewhere, will dig it out... | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/08/19 08:58 AM
Cute loungewear – UK/international?Agreed! Any brands you recommend? Don't feel quite comfortable wearing just a sports bra as I have giant boobs so the ones in my size aren't very pretty, would quite like a little cropped tee or something to go over the top | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/07/19 08:26 AM
Cute loungewear – UK/international?Thanks. Aren't Lovehoney and Ann summers more lingerie? Was thinking kind of sporty, but maybe they do both? | /r/RedPillWomen | 17/07/19 11:02 AM
Going to the salon?I get a gel manicure every three weeks, change it to normal polish or just nothing if I'm feeling broke. I think it's one of the best beauty treatments you can get, as its obvious that you've had them done and they do last. You can get gel manicure kits with the lamps on Amazon also - I have tried these with good results :) also I'm getting a course of laser hair removal - working brilliantly but it depends on your hair type and skin! | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/07/19 07:31 AM
| – | Homemaking: Tips, Tricks & QuestionsIf you have a glass shower screen it makes a big difference if you squeegee it after each use, as it doesn't allow the water to form watermarks in the first place,l. Vinegar spray is great on glass and Viakal is amazing for the rest and personally I love the smell! | /r/RedPillWomen | 10/07/19 07:56 AM |
Share the most important advice you have from personal experience re: "qualifying your buyer"Personally I've found tough times to be quite revealing. Everyone loves a fancy dinner, but are they going to come to visit your ill grandparents with you/help you move house/come see you when you're sick? If no, probably not a keeper. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/19 07:58 AM
| -3 | RPW Way to communicate my feelings about a humiliating situation with husbandI'm surprised everyone is suggesting OP confront him about this. To my mind he hasn't done anything wrong, it sounds like he was enthusiastically greeting an old friend and it was completely innocent. In fact, the fact he did it in front of you to me suggests there's nothing going on there, otherwise he'd be a lot more secretive about it. I just ignore it and try and get to know her - she might be ok! | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/07/19 07:51 AM |
Hair accessories? You can get really beautiful silk/turban style headbands from places like Anthropologie, and cheaper knock offs on the high st. I think they look very sophisticated and elegant | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/06/19 03:40 AM
How can I make myself look more feminine?Honestly, it sounds like your self-confidence is quite low. Probably not what you want to hear, but I know that I'm when I'm feeling at my worst – tired, stressed, anxious, unhappy – my skin looks terrible and I think I look a lot older. When I'm on holiday and rested/happy, I think I look tons better. And it's just the same face so... I think if you could learn to be more comfortable in your own skin, through whatever method worked, then you'd feel and look prettier by being happier. | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/06/19 12:13 PM
| – | Homemaking: Tips, Tricks & QuestionsSorry for the slow reply! Smear it all over with a cloth, wipe off with old newspaper and buff :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 13/06/19 01:28 PM |
| – | Homemaking: Tips, Tricks & QuestionsVinegar spray is simple and works amazingly on stainless steel and glass – Stardrops is the best. I use Zoflora a lot (product that smells like flowers) – capful in the toilet, capful in the sink of hot water while I'm cleaning, sometimes I fill the kitchen sink and soak my cloths in it to disinfect them – makes the whole house smell amazing, I am addicted! And use it to freshen up the bin too. Ketchup is good for cleaning brass with newspaper too. | /r/RedPillWomen | 07/06/19 07:43 AM |
Struggling to be supportive. Thanks – again, really useful, especially points 1 and 2. I think I am taking it all on personally and need to step back a bit. | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/05/19 09:32 PM
Struggling to be supportive. Thanks, that's really good advice. He likes sports but recently he doesn't even have the motivation for them. I suggested we take up tennis together but then felt like I was cramping his style a bit... thoughts? | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/05/19 09:12 PM
[help] How do you beautify your living space?I think art is a great shout actually. A couple of really nice big prints can transform somewhere instantly – try online for decent deals on things like retro travel posters etc. | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/04/19 12:03 AM
[help] How do you beautify your living space?Declutter – put things in baskets, boxes, stationary trays etc – and then decorate with a really nice quality blanket and a nice scented candle on some kind of tray. Doesn't have to be super expensive, just has to look nice! Also flowers make things look much more stylish :) Plus I would save up and get some kind of nice retro chair and a nice cushion if you have a small room with a desk in it, and make sure all textiles are the same colour :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/03/19 11:25 PM
How to not be a doormat?"If you still want to do things for them or with them, that's ok but it's important to do it without expectation of reciprocity." I think this is a really good point. For a long time after university I felt so frustrated with friends that would just take and take but never give anything back. Then I learnt that I have my close friends – a handful of them, who are always there for me, make me feel great, and who I would do anything for – and my fun friends, who are jolly at a dinner party but are… | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/01/19 02:22 PM
How to not be a doormat?Something I've also learnt is that people are almost never as angry about things as you think they are. If I had to disappoint someone in some way, I'd always have it in my head that they'd then spend days fuming over it and cursing the day I was born... lol. The reality is probably that they'll feel slightly put out, but if they're a good friend and you're putting effort into the relationship, they'll get over it fairly quickly and things will resume as always. Also re: guys, I think most men m… | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/01/19 01:48 PM
How to not be a doormat?I feel like this a lot, and one of things that's helped me is not necessarily turning things down/saying no etc. but setting out my "terms" out very clearly. So, for example, if a friend wanted a hand with an essay (or something like that), I would normally jump straight to it, often cancelling my own plans to do so, and even if I didn't really feel like it. And of course, that would happen again and again, and I'd start to notice that the favour was never really returned, so it didn't feel grea… | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/01/19 01:44 PM

| – | Homemaking: Tips, Tricks & QuestionsBar Keepers friend is a grit that turns into a paste – worked wonders on my shower screen and you can leave it on for a while before rinsing x | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/08/18 07:03 PM |
| – | Homemaking: Tips, Tricks & QuestionsHave you tried Zoflora? Great disinfectant for putting down sinks/loos/general cleaning in all different floral fragrances. I love the hyacinth one – a little goes a loooooong way! Not sure if they have in the US though. | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/08/18 07:02 PM |

Genuine questionGood way of putting it that last line, thanks. Is there a post that describes the choosing part then? Because that seems the most crucial thing. | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/07/18 08:00 AM
Genuine questionAs someone who has only discovered both of these subreddits today, they do seem quite different. One thing I would say, which is a total sweeping statement, is that the red pill seems to contain a lot of people who are quite bitter/maybe not that objective in the comments? Some of the remarks seem quite revenge-focused to me, whereas the comments on this thread seem positive overall. But then, I've only read a few of both :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 13/07/18 10:22 PM
Genuine questionSome good points here, and it's helping me to understand, thank you :) You are right that it feels all consuming at first glance, but I'm sure that's just because this is what this thread is focused on, rather than your whole lives/the whole picture, as you say. Re: your last comment, I guess it's because there aren't many posts here about what they do for you? And again, I'm sure that comes down to the nature of the forum – that's not the focus, but it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I'm curious… | /r/RedPillWomen | 13/07/18 10:17 PM

Often neglected but important! and good music, fun decorations/straws etc. and try to create a loop, so that people can circulate from room to room and don't all gather in one place. | 1 | How to be the hostess with the mostest?Once things are cooked you can put them in an oven on the lowest possible setting covered in foil.. OR put them on a platter covered with a foil and then lots of teatowels to keep the heat in :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 13/07/18 10:00 PM |

Genuine questionThanks for this, I guess both replies make me realise that the idea is, if you're with someone decent, then they're also putting the same amount of effort in naturally. Which is great, and I guess is a bit of a new thing for me! Can I ask how long you've been together? Would be interested to hear from people in their 40s/50s to see if the dynamic stands the test of time.... Makes me realise that perhaps I'm judging by the people I've been with, who on the whole, give or take a couple of lovely o… | /r/RedPillWomen | 13/07/18 09:57 PM
