I didn’t read the long thread you posted. But in general I’ve thought of this before & thought that if I found a husband who was filthy rich & I would never have to worry about money then I think I would be more accepting of his cheating. In reality most men cheat already & I’ve gone through a horrible relationship where I found out he had been cheating the entire 4 years we were together- I got nothing out of that relationship. That relationship was a set back for me. If I’m going to be in a re…

Actually I find many men don’t even hide the fact that they watch a ton of porn. They’ll literally tell you “I’ve seen all the types of porn” etc

Shit most of them don’t even use soap on their dick. They definitely need a good scrub with bleach.

If I remember right he’s a resident in a plastic surgery clinic.

Yeah exactly. I’ve never even met him yet why the hell would I go to his place?? I would just be asking to get raped if I did that lol.

I think guys haven’t realized yet that we don’t need them. We are capable of living a fulfilling life on our own & take care of ourselves. We don’t NEED a man. So if they want to participate in our life they better bring something to the table. We’re just fine being on our own, we’re not desperate like they are.

It would probably be a “promise ring” too instead of an actual engagement ring.

I had a first date take me to a really fancy downtown restaurant for dinner & drinks. I didn’t see the bill but it had to be around $200. Our connection prior to meeting for the date was really great so he was invested in getting to know me more. It ended up not working out between us (age difference/ he was much younger) but at least he put in the effort.

The fact is that guys think they can get away with a cheap date & still expect sex to happen. So basically they’re looking for cheap or free sex.

I recently was talking yo a doctor from one of the dating apps. He asked me on a date. He wanted to go to a coffee shop - I told him I’m not drinking coffee or alcohol right now. Then he suggested he cook me dinner. Umm I’m not going to your house when we haven’t even met yet. But they were both low value dates. I just stopped talking to him. Not worth my time.

There are men who choose to be childfree who STILL don't get a vasectomy. If they know they don't want any kids ever & won't even get such a simple procedure to prevent a pregnancy, then why the hell will they even bother with BC? On the other hand, I think men should be required to take BC. Women have had to deal with the physical consequences of BC for way too long. It's time for the men to sacrifice. And even if both partners took BC then there would be less of a chance of a breakthrough preg…

Men should still take BC though. If both partners were on BC there would be less chance of a breakthrough pregnancy. Since BC isn't 100% effective.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 10:49 PM
21

It would be nice if there was male birth control AND there were legal consequences if a guy told a woman he's on birth control & then she gets pregnant because it turns out he's not on BC or he's not taking it as prescribed (skipping doses). Otherwise, even if there's male BC we can't trust them to actually take it. Why do they care about BC, they have no consequences if they get someone pregnant.

This is the exact reason why guys do this - to keep the wife / gf financially dependent on him & she doesn't have a way to leave him since she can't afford to.

Omg I HATE this whole "don't kink shame" movement. It's just fuel to allow men to treat women poorly in bed & act out all of the porn shit they watch.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/03/22 07:25 AM

I noticed this too. It seems like he's set up financially & she's fully dependent on him. Their money already ISN'T being allocated properly between them. The retirement accounts (or lack of) prove that.

Men want a stay at home mom purely for the control they have over her. No one could ever convince me otherwise. I've seen too many women trapped in abusive relationships / marriages because they're stay at home moms which means they don't have a job or money of their own & it's difficult for them to even get a job because they've been out of the work force too long (which is complete bullshit, but that's another conversation). I had severe pain with my menstruation since high school & it took decades to get a doctor to finally listen to me & try to help me. Fuck doctors, especially in the US, I don't trust any of them.

I really hate being born in this world. Sometimes I wish I was born hundreds of years in our future instead when women are treated better. But the way our species is destroying the planet we'll probably not exist long enough to ever reach that point.

Men: women shouldn't expect a man to have proper body & mouth hygiene. Also men: women should get a boob job because I like big boobs. They should also stay ultra skinny & never physically look like they're aging.

The only "bar" that exists is the one guys use to try to drug unsuspecting women.

Screenshot 4 gave me the info I suspected : all the guy friends in that group shut down the wives suspicions about Mary because they were ALL fucking her. "Mary admitted she went through some situationsips with my ex & a couple of his friends" Yep. They all were having a piece of Mary & they didn't want to give that up. So anytime one of the wives brought up suspicion about Mary the guys all shut that shit down quick.

Great points! Always listen when guys say these small comments about themselves (like they're not good enough, boring, confused) because they are telling you who they are, unintentionally. I don't think they realize what they're doing, but if you pay attention to these little things LISTEN TO THEM. They're not just passing comments. They're telling us who they are. Believe them lol. So many times we don't pay attention to these little things. After being in such a toxic relationship I notice the…

Yep & this is why the whole "stick by your man when he is struggling & he'll be there when he's successful" mindset is so toxic. I'm not here to build up a man, he can see a therapist & a life coach / mentor to help build him up. I'm done doing that because they don't appreciate it, they don't respect you for it, & you're wasting your time because even if they do improve (which I think is rare) then they'll leave you for someone they perceive as being better (because they think they deserve more…

Hmm it's hard to think of examples. For me it can be really subtle things. If he makes a comment that you're too good looking for him / he's not good enough for you. He doesn't take criticism well. He can't admit to his mistakes. I'm sorry, hopefully others can add their thoughts on this as well. I just woke up & my brain is still sleeping lol.

Does anyone have insight on how to handle this though? Some guys will NEVER bring this up so do we give them a certain time frame for them to bring up the "are we a couple" stuff & if they don't bring it up in that time frame then just move on from them? Like say we give them 3 months to bring up this topic. We don't tell them there's a timeline on this of course. At the end of the 3 months if they haven't brought it up then we end it with them. Thoughts?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/03/22 05:05 PM
105

Exactly! This is the exact reason why we don't pursue men or initiate things with a man. Because they'll say yes to anyone even if they don't see a future with you. Just for sex. I refuse to initiate with a guy or be the one to ask him out.

The low self esteem is a huge red flag for me now. After my last relationship where he ended up being a total failure I realized a HUGE part of his issue was extreme low self esteem. If I pick up clues that a guy has really low self esteem then I end it with him. So many guys have this crippling low self esteem & it contributes to their bad behavior in a relationship. So I won't deal with it anymore.

I found one of these signs in Vietnam. It must be a "joke" enough that many places use this to get attention. It just showcases how much of a problem it really is. Most men are "man babies". It's not cute.

Same - sometimes I miss being in a relationship but seeing posts like this remind me it's worth it to wait for the right person. I've been in a shitty relationship before & it was hell. I would rather be single with my pets than ever be in a bad relationship again. It was so sad seeing her write at the end about how she should have asked him WHY when they were talking about it the night before & blaming herself for not asking him. No need to ask him. He probably wouldn't give an honest answer an…

I came here to share this post & knew it had to be shared already, glad I checked first lol! Omg what a dumpster fire!! She had 2 kids with someone she's not married to. She got the marriage license & he still wouldn't go through with it. She asked what he loved most about her & his answer was basically that she's his mother, babysitter, & maid. This post was the most difficult to read. I cringed with each new paragraph. I really wish girls in adolescent age were taught that they can have expect…

I don't understand why people can be so cruel to keep these lies for a friend?? It's the whole "not my relationship not my business / I don't want to meddle" attitude, but it makes them just as horrible of a person as the cheater is when they stick by his lies for him.

This was the biggest thing that caught my attention. How much a guy's friends will lie for him & not tell these women the truth. I had found out my ex had been cheating & seeing prostitutes throughout our 4 years together. Then I found out he had actually started seeing prostitutes at least 3 years before we met & started dating & that his friends new about that. And no one ever told. No hints about it. Nothing. They were completely fucking silent. Which actually explained why I never really got…

Exactly. Men don't "put up with" a lack of sex in their relationship, why should women have to deal with it? Most men will use a lack of sex as a reason to cheat. If I'm not satisfied in the bedroom then I'm out of that relationship. I've been in a dead bedroom relationship before & won't go through that again.

There were a lot of flags. Another big flag was when we threw a Halloween party a few months after we started dating. He didn't want to pair with me for beer pong so I paired with some guy that came to the party (he was a friend of a friend) & I KICKED ASS at beer pong that night. I was making trick shots & everything, it was great lol. That night after everyone left & my bf & I went to bed he treated me like shit & gave me the cold shoulder. This is actually child neglect & would warrant a call to child protective services because it's an environment where the baby isn't getting fed when necessary. It's neglecting the baby's physical needs which (especially at this young age) is vital to proper health & keeping it alive. Also this environment of the baby not being allowed to feed when needed will have long-term psychology effects & the child will possibly have an unhealthy relationship with food when they're older (along with a host…

Wow there's a lot of gas lighting. Yikes. Even aside from that, why didn't he buy the breakfast groceries himself? He acts like $20 isn't much to argue about - then why didn't he just buy it? Why take her card for it? And you don't need a pin# to use a credit or debit card, especially for such a small amount. It seems like he was testing the waters & maybe going to misuse her card after he had the pin# for it.

Exactly! "Not all dates were paid outings" He showed his true self in the beginning. If he's not going to put any effort in at the very beginning then how worse will he be years (actually months) into a relationship? Women notice these things & will move onto someone else who will actually put the effort in.

I've had to fight for proper medical care SO MANY FUCKING TIMES in my life. It's complete bullshit & one of the reasons I've finally moved out of the US. I had debilitating period pains since middle school. At one point I called my regular family doctor 3 days in a row crying & begging for help. I would say you could "move in" with a guy by basically living there & staying there all the time but keep your own place still. This way you're not splitting rent & bills (which could be the motivation for him wanting you to move in), you can still get a good idea of what his real behavior & habits are, & you still have your own place if it all falls to pieces.

"Sex robots will replace the need for women" News flash: vibrators have already replaced the need for men. We're a step ahead of y'all already. Most men are terrible in bed & don't know how to please a woman. Why would we want to waste our time & energy on that when we can use a vibrator, get things done on our own, have better orgasms, & not have to deal with a man.

I hate this part of our society / culture. Women are brainwashed into sacrificing everything for a man yet the man is allowed to abandon her & their family whenever he wants to. I'm actually glad that my dad bailed on me & my sibling when we were really young. I started dating my ex right before he started law school, then all through law school & for a while afterwards when he was practicing. He didn't gaslight or emotionally manipulate me in the beginning. Makes me wonder if these type of people end up in the legal field or if the legal field helps to create these behaviors?

I agree 100% Also, younger men tend to be more open-minded to learning new cultures (not racist), want to travel (not stay living in the same small boring town), try new activities..... LIVE LIFE. Older men are washed up, close-minded, stuck in their boring routine, didn't take care of themselves physically, misogynistic, etc etc. The list can go on forever. And yes, if I would have to deal with the BS either way then I'm 100% going with the younger man who looks better & has more stamina ;)

Exactly my thoughts. It's worrying that the baby might not be getting enough food, but I'm also worried about the mental health effect this is going to have on the baby. Trauma even as an infant has a lasting effect on a person's psyche (studies have proven this). An infant who can't care for themself & is dependent on their caregivers will likely experience this situation (a caregiver refusing food) as traumatic. It can affect the way they view food when they're older (overeating due to fear of…

When I discovered my ex had been cheating throughout our entire 4 year relationship (with strangers from the internet & prostitutes) I did "out him" online & to his family. Online (when I first found out) I just said he cheated throughout the relationship, I didn't say he was meeting with prostitutes. Still, his family (especially his mom) was irate with me. I was with my ex for 4 years. At the end I discovered he had been cheating the entire 4 years with strangers from the internet & prostitutes. He's an alcoholic, has done some sort of cheating in the past & is doing cheating behavior again, he has a sexual infatuation with her mom, she thinks he'll gaslight her when she finally confronts him about it which tells me he's gaslighted her before, & he's not bothered that she has been giving him the silent treatment for a few days. Fuck focusing on school. Get a divorce attorney ASAP.

Wow. I really hope she's talking to EVERY divorce attorney in her state (so the husband can't get any of the good attorneys to represent him) & that she didn't sign a prenup. This is the exact reason why you don't sign a prenup. A prenup just allows a man to use & abuse you then throw you away when he doesn't need you anymore.

The same thing is happening in the US. Women now are realizing they don't have to live the life their mother & grandmother did. They can be independent, live life to fulfill their own wants & dreams. Men still want the life that their father & grandfather had but a lot of them aren't getting it & they're pissed - these are the incels.

I've had a few guys tell me that they swipe right on literally every woman on the dating apps to try to match with whoever. Is it desperation? Is it to feed their ego when they do match with someone? This is why I don't take a "match" seriously anymore. It's not really a match together if they're swiping right on everyone's profile.

If men were that horny they would put in more effort toward themselves (like taking care of your hygiene, how you look, etc) to be able to better reach their goal of having sex. Instead they just complain that no one wants to fuck them.

Incels don't have trouble dating because they're average looking, they have trouble dating because they're assholes. Many women date short men. The two longer relationships I've had were with men who were 5'7" & overweight. But they had a great personality. If more average looking men would focus on taking care of themselves & having a decent personality they wouldn't have so much trouble dating. But most guys in the US are lazy & don't want to put any effort into themselves. So then deal with b…

The problem I'm seeing is that men have very low standards. Many men have even said they'll fuck any woman who gives them the time of day. On the other hand, women do have standards. The most basic fucking standards like shower & groom yourself, actually put on a nice outfit for a date instead of wearing the plain jeans & graphic tee you've been wearing all day. Also, women are held to higher society beauty standards. I have spent time, money, & energy on making myself look good. I'll be damned …

The problem is that guys think that the ones who were born with the ugly stick are "average." In this post I'm seeing pictures of middle-aged men who don't take care of themselves at all (very overweight / out of shape, don't put any effort into their looks or the clothes that they wear). That's not average, that's below average.

I stay pretty busy too. I maybe go on 2 dates a week at the most, most weeks just 1. I find that if I'm only seeing one guy at a time that I do feel more emotionally invested. I had a very similar thing happen with my ex, except we were together 4 years. There are definitely some red flags though, I just didn't recognize them until after everything was said & done. The red flags never would have made me think he was living a second life with a sex addiction & cheating, but they were red flags of his emotional immaturity & a LOT of gas lighting. That's so true, we're very capable of dealing with rejection because it's a normal part of our life. And I've seen so many men on reddit & other social media & have even heard men say that they will fuck literally anyone. It's very pathetic & you can't filter those guys out if we're the one asking them out. They've literally said they will fuck any vagina, so if you ask them out you have no idea if you fall into the "any vagina" category & you also make it too easy for them.

At the end of my last relationship (4 years) I had found that he was cheating basically the entire time. I had given him a couple really expensive birthday gifts which he hadn't used yet. I took them right back to the store & got my money back lol.

That's something I would think about a lot! Now I've had a hysterectomy & don't need to worry about ever becoming a single mom. It's such a relief!

Yeah that's what I'm trying to navigate now. It's definitely a lot more difficult if you don't start it off properly from the beginning! I do have another guy I'm talking with still who I met after the first guy left town. This other guy just messaged asking to hang out this week, so I'm trying to start this one better. I'll try to speed read the handbook tonight. Also, the first guy may be borderline gone now because I saw on his Facebook that his phone was broken last night when it ended up in…

Well the handbook & FDS came a little late for me lol. This already started before I ever heard of FDS, so not much I can change about the past at this point

We kind of talked about it briefly the third time we hung out & we just both said we weren't seeing anyone else. I'm pretty confident he still isn't seeing anyone else. We hung out a few times for like 3 weeks then he went out of state for a couple months for work. He's been gone a month now & we haven't had that talk again but we do chat a bit every single day. He'll be gone another 1-2 months so I figured I'd see what happens between us when he is back. In the meantime, I WAS still on the dati…

I really appreciate such a detailed answer! I've flipped through the handbook a bit but haven't Sat down & really read it yet. I think I'm going to make time for that tomorrow because I feel like I'm doing things wrong with this guy & I don't really know how to get it on the FDS track from here. There's so much that goes into all of this & I have a lot to learn. Your reply was really helpful & gives me something to reflect on, thank you!

During those first 4 months were you seeing other guys or still going on dates with other guys? If not, then aren't you basically together already & what would make him want to put a title on it if he basically already has it? This is something I wonder about & I'm at the beginning stages with someone & don't want that to happen.

The sub states it's for MEN who have relationship questions. So which sub do WOMEN use for questions?

Let's talk every day & hang out, but I'm not ready for a relationship.

I see two huge red flags - He's just getting out of a 10 year relationship, he needs time to process shit before he gets into another relationship. He cheated in his recent relationship. I won't date a guy if I find out he's cheated in a relationship. It shows me he has low morals, low self control, & most of the time once he's a cheater he's always a cheater.

Men are so delusional

My last relationship (the fucking worst ever) was 4 years long with an attorney. Definitely not as smart as he thought he was, oh but he definitely thought he was lol. And at the end I found out he cheated on me the entire relationship. A high-end college degree don't mean shit.

Sounds like you probably work in an interesting field! It sucks being in a field that's male dominated & have to work harder to get just a fraction of the respect & opportunities.

A couple months into dating my ex we had a huge house party at his house. Whenever we played drinking games he always wanted to be on a team with his friends, not me. That's red flag #1. So this night I teamed up with some straight up hottie for beer pong (this was our first time meeting the guy) & not only did this hottie & I win 7 games in a row, I also made a few really cool trick shots. After everyone went home that night (I stayed the night) my ex just treated me like shit, cold shoulder, I…

I see it as a compliment on your confidence. Bum bags aren't super popular (although they're getting more popular) & you're rocking it. A yellow dress would be a bold color to wear & not many people would have the confidence to wear something that's so bold & makes them stand out like that. And with his follow up response, it definitely seems like more of a compliment.

I want to still be able to kiss him when we're standing together - can't do that if he's 6' tall lol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/08/20 04:04 PM

Wow that's pathetic. I actually like guys who are shorter. I'm 5'3" & like guys just a few inches taller.

No they don't have different brains, but they do develop at a different rate.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 09:17 PM

Technically their prefrontal cortex doesn't finish developing until around age 25, so it's not actually a myth that they don't mature until later. But they do definitely take advantage of that & it's not a valid excuse when you're a full grown ass adult over 25!

I would say as long as my name is on the bank account as well, so he can't take over full control of it at some point, or I have a bank account of my own then I'd be open to it. Yeah if there was a divorce then she should get child support, but that doesn't mean it'll happen right away so she would still need to be able to provide for herself for a while. Also, if he's making this much money then he probably has a lot of connections & can get vindictive if he wanted to. I'm probably thinking of …

When do we see men of any age doing that? Not often.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 06:16 PM
21

That's too risky for me to ever do. I've seen many women not able to leave abusive marriages or a marriage where the husband is cheating because she doesn't have her own money & she can't get a job because she hasn't worked in a long time. Unfortunately, employers don't considered stay-at-home as a job, so you're looked at as having not had a job in 10 years & no one wants to employ you. Her husband may make $975k a year now, what happens when he takes control of the finances, cheats, abuses her…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:46 PM
45

Every woman should at least have a part-time job to save her own money on the side if she ever needs to leave & to stay relevant in the workplace in case she ever needs to leave & NEEDS a job. So many women become stay at home moms, then the marriage ends & they can't find a job because they hadn't worked in the last decade.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:29 PM

God I wouldn't clean a guy's house if we don't even live together. I guess I didn't realize some women do this :( I've cooked for a guy, but it was only once or twice, not something I would do regularly. You made some good points.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:14 PM

I hate the "what do you bring to the table"! It's always said in such a sarcastic way. Most of us have a LOT to bring to the table. Hell, I have a master's degree & guys still give me this BS. It's just another way to gaslight us.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:06 PM
4

Yep, exactly this! Guys aren't as stupid as we believe (sometimes lol). They know what they're doing in this situation. They know early on if they want a relationship with you or not. They can tell if you want a relationship. They string along just to get what they want. It's selfish & inconsiderate.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:03 PM
3

Exactly! If he knew he wasn't ready then he shouldn't even be dating & wasting people's time.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 05:00 PM
2

I definitely agree with not giving out marriage benefits while you're dating. But in the first few months a girl isn't doing all of these things for him. I would say probably not for the first year. Maybe when they finally move in together she's doing some of this stuff. So the cooking, cleaning, splitting bills, etc I feel aren't a consideration in this scenario because it's not happening. Sucks if the situationship lasts long enough for them to move in together though.

Yeah good sex can fuck with our minds!

Because morals But we know that's a personality characteristic many men lack.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 04:55 PM
4

So basically they want a relationship without the relationship. That's the problem. A true FWB you're not hanging out & messaging every day, you're just meeting for sex. When you're doing things together outside of sex then feelings will happen. Guys want to have their cake & eat it too.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 04:53 PM
3

Yep exactly!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 04:43 AM
11

I think there are women who do this, but I definitely believe many more men do it versus women. I agree, after a breakup people need to take time off from dating to grieve & process the loss of the relationship.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 12:51 AM

Damn this is something I really needed to hear. Thanks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/08/20 12:37 AM

Lol "nice guy entitlement" this is too common! Psychiatrist only diagnose & prescribe medication. Therapist / counselor would be the one to try to make him be more accountable, but they're not miracle workers either. Some people just don't want to change.

True
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 09:08 PM

The fact that he has the audacity to actually tell you that he doesn't want marriage & admits to being a bad boyfriend - is this dude brain dead? Or he's so full of himself he actually thinks he's a prize??
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 09:08 PM
47

"Don't be his security blanket" - that hits hard
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 09:05 PM
17

Lol well guess at least you got a nice meal for your wasted time? Lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:59 PM
49

Yeah, it's BS. They're the same guys who complain when a woman thinks the guy should pay for the dinner dates. If you're out here knowing you don't want a relationship, wasting my time, 100% you should be paying for the dates.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:26 PM
52

That's what I don't understand either - why are they even putting themselves out there when they know they're not ready for a relationship?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:22 PM
14

Wow that's pretty rare for them to be honest about that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:21 PM
18

Yep this is my thinking about it too. It's just a placeholder until someone different comes along that he likes more.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:19 PM

Damn, I appreciate the truth bomb.

Yep same exact thing here - he's doing the same thing when I started to pull back.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/08/20 04:18 PM

That wasn't even the worst of it. I found out much more after this. Any time in the future a boyfriend wants to keep his phone private from me then he can keep his life separate from me as well because it's a definite red flag & I won't fall for it again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/08/20 03:16 AM
28

I always have to remind myself of the 'wanting clarity'. If it's been a little while & I still feel confused about what's going on between me & a guy - I don't need clarity because the answer is going to be "nothing serious" & I need to just move on.

I wonder if this works for Siri too.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/08/20 03:30 PM

Yes - red flag! My ex was like this. After 4 years I did use his phone once to look up a tech support phone number (my phone was upstairs). He let his guard down for that one moment. The web page he had open on his phone was OK Cupid. Things went quickly downhill from there lol.

"Don't marry potential" I live by this! I don't DATE potential. There was a guy who kept trying to take me on a date & finally I said to him "why? His response was that he could do it, he just hasn't yet, he literally said "I have potential".
