I’m sorry but I hate this advice. Listening to this kind of passive-aggressive moralising held me back for years. I’ve always been able to get along with women and have had lots of female friends. The moment I started seeing success was when I started following good technical advice on flirting and teasing, and going out on my own with the explicit goal of cracking onto random women. Once I started seeing it as an independent skill and not as a measure of my moral worth as a man I started actual…

This post is a soup of contradictions. You accuse OP of “generalising”, but then assert with no caveats or reservations “women care about personality more than looks”.

Every time I see a handsome, tall white dude on social media now (especially TikTok live, for some reason) Get off TikTok man. Waste of time. Unless you’re consuming Japanese-language content to get better or something like that. I thought I still didn’t come off as a charismatic guy, just some dude they were being nice to. You’re imposing unrealistic expectations on yourself. Celebrate your wins. Actually going up and talking to those girls was a win. Therapy is one thing, but like, I really do…

How do I tackle this so I look confident enough. The key is not to “look” confident, but to actually have a high self-esteem. Be non-reactive and self-amusing not as a way to convince the girl that your confident, but to embody the behaviours of a self-assured man with abundance in his life and eventually become that person. that would come across as try hard isn't it That is indeed try hard.

By pretending to live a luxurious lifestyle you’re going out of your way to target the subset of women who value that.

I know some great seducers who are genuinely lovely to be around. The thing is that they’re not afraid of sexual rejection, and not afraid of being cheeky or assertive. I’m not at their level yet but I’ve found when I embody those traits I do fairly well for myself. Since being that sort of person is far more emotionally healthy in the long run and also works to create sexual abundance, I don’t see why you need to consider becoming an arsehole. Really I think complaining about “bad men” is an ex…

It becomes easier if you work on developing the skills. But you have to actually put in the work. You’re 19; are you really going to wait 11 years for your life to start? I asked 100s of women out, been on multiple dating apps for almost a year Asking out hundreds of women on swiping apps doesn’t help you develop any skills really. All of that for having only 3 girls interested in me 3 girls at 19 is already quite a lot. We have 25 year old virgins in here complaining all the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of women is only attracted to a minority of men. They're not all necessarily attracted to the same minority of men. Women value compatibility and finding someone that's their "type" a lot more than men do on average. Even good looking men get rejected a lot if they're at all proactive.

You have a binary view of success (either you "get the girls" or don't) and are comparing yourself to others. If you want to get good at seduction you have to understand it's a long road with incremental improvements. Uni makes certain things easier but you're working on your cold approach skills which will help you wherever you go in life. I dress well, talk and speak confidently, and appear interesting and fun. My text game does suck though. Like how the hell do guys learn how to sext and esca…

a girl at a gym you frequent. I guess this is debatable but I find it hard to classify going to the same gym as a "social tie", especially if it's a bigger gym. It's like going to the same university; if you're approaching random girs on campus it's still "cold" despite the commonality of going to the same uni.

I think your message would be more effective if you didn’t write as if everyone reading you or disagreeing with you is a moron. If your goal is to actually help people and not show much better you are than everyone else, tone down the abrasiveness.

Is this what greatness looks like? Personally I'm quite successful at my passion which I discovered as a young teenager and I couldn't give two shits about pursuing "greatness". Just want to live my life and do the things I enjoy, which includes flirting with women and having sex. It also includes reading fiction rather than Kant or Patanjali or whatever. I'm also dialing back the dedication with which I'm pursuing my main passion because seduction is the only part of my life that I find lacking…

Why did she react that way in that situation? The wording is important. She probably doesn't act that way when everyone says hello. If OP is from East or Southeast Asia it's very likely that his native language doesn't have verb tenses. It's probably an ESL mistake. Elsewhere he also used present where there should be past: the girl i was going for was with her friends and look like she was having fun

No I would definitely agree that before you reach a certain baseline of sociability, making friends helps. After a certain point there are diminishing returns if you want to have options, because you don’t really get any sort of volume.
/r/seduction17/09/22 12:19 PM
3

I guess I’ve overstated my case; I wouldn’t say it has zero impact on dating. I just think there’s severe diminishing returns past a certain baseline and it isn’t a reliable way to get better at seduction or get hookups with any sort of regularity.

i love when you guys get so threatened I’m only one person, not “you guys”, and I guess I’ll have to disappoint you but I’m not sure how I could find an internet comment about making friends threatening. you can film yourself explaining why it's definitely true so it can still be preserved on the internet I don’t know what this means.

The easiest way to get laid is to just try to have normal conversations and let time pass. Yeah never flirt with girls, flirting is yucky.
/r/seduction17/09/22 11:35 AM

I have more female friends than male friends and I can’t say it’s done much for me. Haven’t hooked up with any of their friends nor have girls been swarming to me when I’ve gone out with them as a group. The only time I’ve pulled is going out solo, and most of my other recent hookups have been through the Latin dance scene. It’s great to have friends of both genders but it’s delusional to expect it to help you get laid.

ive already explained why consent is good game. You haven’t actually. You’ve asserted that you have, and repeatedly made very strong “ought” statements, but no “is” statements on technique born out of real observations.

I don’t know what 2022 you live in but in my experience social dynamics haven’t fundamentally changed. The only difference I’ve noticed is that sometimes people will ask if you’re OK with hand-shaking due to covid worries (but not because of a fundamental change in views on explicit verbal consent), but that was actually more common in 2021 than this year I’d say. I don’t know what you’re playing at, if you’re trying to construct a bad parody of an SJW or something, but I’d suggest you stop givi…

Well yes, it was a very obvious and intentional reductio ad absurdum. I used it to highlight how extreme and unworkable your advice was; it was a blanket ideological statement that doesn’t take into account real social dynamics. If you’d like to revise your advice to something sane, you’re absolutely free to.
/r/seduction26/08/22 10:13 AM

I’ve literally never observed anyone of any gender or cultural background ask for explicit verbal consent to tap someone on the shoulder. That goes for this calendar year and all the other one’s I’ve experienced.
/r/seduction26/08/22 10:06 AM
2

You’re making very extreme, normative/ideological statements without backing them up in any real way. “Good game” isn’t about having a strict set of rules in any case, you need to adapt to each person and social context. If you find me a case of someone being sued for non-consensual shoulder tapping, maybe I’ll care about your advice. In the meantime I’m going to have to dismiss your entirely ideological view, as it’s not a set of behaviours I’ve observed in any of the countries I’ve lived in no…

In what society are people getting taken to court for tapping someone on the shoulder without asking for explicit verbal consent? Your position, at least as stated so far, is quite extreme and not something I’ve ever actually observed.

What are some tips or conversations to make it fun? Search “flirting” and “push-pull” in this sub and you’ll find some threads that cover this in detail. Good luck, it’ll take some time to grow into. Text messages to remind them they still exist? Ouch like a simple hello? I’m trying to avoid those sort of messages. Thanks man Yeah most of the time those suck, unless the girl is already totally set on you. With “undecided” girls you can drive them away with dry rapport-building over text.

It’s funny because in other threads people claim game is impossible in Scandinavia because they “never” talk to strangers, whereas Americans are all bubbly extraverts who love smalltalk. I don’t believe it’s down to a huge difference between the societies. Conning women into sleeping with you by acting and pretending to be someone who aren't naturally makes you happy? I don’t know if that would make me happy, I’ve never done that. If I ever do I’ll let you know if it works, but I’m as skeptical as you are that that could make anyone happy, especially in the long term. You’re making a lot of very concrete assumptions about my life. If you’d like to get to know me, feel free to ask. You are making getting laid too important, which is why you're frustrated. I’m not frustrated. I’ve never felt more self-actualized and happy because I’m doing something that brings me a lot of joy. Your frustration causes you to try to manipulate women and you'll con a few I don’t believe I’ve ever “conned” a woman into sleeping with me, and wouldn’t know how to even if I wanted to…

Look, that’s easy to say when you’re coming from a place of abundance and aren’t struggling to get laid. When you are struggling to get laid, and you take seriously the advice that you just need to “interact normally” and “treat women like people”, and in return all you get is platonic relationships with women who don’t see you sexually, of course you’re going to get frustrated.

No girl in an interwction as superficial as a one night stand is going to train or teach you. In my experience, one-time lays have taught me a lot. So have fwb arrangements, so have deep emotional connections. I don’t think there’s a single answer to this but sleeping around and learning to seduce a wider variety of girls isn’t a bad option.

I didnt say that a and You’re right, I misquoted you. You implied it’d make you bad at sex. 2)getting a girlfriend teaches you more about seduction than any of these socially inept wannabe pickup artists on this sub. Yeah I really don’t know why people felt the need to attack you or make fun of you for asking a question. Really it's a form of sexism. They think that they're being feministic or enlightened by shaming men, but really it's just a way of expressing the idea that men should naturally be good at getting with women otherwise they're losers or in some way fundamentally defective as people. There's the macho-man version of this trope ("if you can't get laid it's because you're not manly enough"), and…

You're right that this is what modern media propagates, but it's not true that the concept of romantic love and its connection to sex is "deeply integrated in all the world's cultures and societies".
/r/seduction20/08/22 11:19 AM

Wow men are really declining...... in nature the male always has to do things to attract a female. Which is why things like pick up artistry exist -- to learn how to "do things".
/r/seduction20/08/22 11:14 AM

If you want sex from women then start caring about the woman more. IMO this is an ideological statement more than it is good technical advice. This can help sometimes (comfort is good), but it's not the full story. There are plenty of men who get laid all the time and fundamentally don't care about women at all. You should care about women because it's the right thing to do. For getting laid more, there's working on your seduction skills.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:53 AM
1

If you actually listen to destiny he says all the time that women enjoy sex BUT with men they know well and are comfortable with, I’ve heard him say this so many times at this point Comfortable with, yes (in general). Know well, not necessarily. There are two different variables that interact: comfort and attraction. Depending on the woman's personality, and the phase they are at in their life or period cycle (or the social context as well), one variable or the other will be more important.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:46 AM

They come for seduction advice. "Go get a girlfriend right now otherwise you'll be lonely in your mid 30s" is not seduction advice.

Media. Most of us associate sex with love since that’s what we have been seeing. That’s how it always been, and it’s hard to change something so deeply integrated in all the worlds cultures and societies. This is anthropologically and historically inaccurate.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:40 AM

That "nothing special" is just your perception. The fact that he treats them "like crap" is what makes him special and different. And, crucially, there are ways to provide emotional excitement without treating people badly. The arsehole/nice guy dichotomy is just a way to stoke the flames of male sexual resentment and give gameless guys an excuse not to work on their charisma, self-esteem and flirting skills.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:31 AM
2

Yes. It depends on what level of detail you're looking at and which variables you choose to highlight. I found your initial comment too simplistic for a beginner to game, especially for someone who doesn't really know the process (OP doesn't seem to have much experience signaling intent or approaching at all given the level of fear of rejection they have). What you're saying now makes sense.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:28 AM

Just tailored to your presentation Exactly. If you "present" as one gender, you have to "tailor" your approach to your gender and the gender you're trying to attract. Of course there are other factors involved; that doesn't mean that gender isn't a factor, just that it interacts with other variables (height, style, social context etc.). I'm masc presenting. I've never had issues approaching femmes Why is this relevant? I never claimed that "all men have issues approaching women". I said that the…

There are plenty of men who enjoy being around women a lot and have loads of female friends and still barely get laid. Of course genuine enjoyment can help but it's not the full story.
/r/seduction20/08/22 10:06 AM

It's not necessarily an emotional "connection" in the sense of high levels of comfort and rapport, but some form of emotional stimulation (whence the importance of things like teasing).

"Making the approach" is different in that the base level of comfort between two random women is on average going to be higher than between a woman and a strange man. For similar reasons, "signaling intent" will be even more important since you're kind of slipping under the radar, so you can't get away with being as indirect, unless perhaps if you're already in an LGBT space and the assumptions are different. Of course people are more similar than they're different, but people change according t…

It’s not strange to have high standards. But I’d suggest you’ll be better off exploring a bit more and having elastic criteria.

Dude. There’s having basic social skills (you’ll probably get laid a bit if you’re at least presentable and meeting girls relatively regularly), and then there’s having strong sexual charisma (you can get way more). If you think there isn’t more to seduction than not scratching your balls in public, you’ve hardly scratched the service.
/r/seduction16/08/22 02:03 PM

Bro you need therapy Also there are ways to advance other than jumping straight into cold approach. If as you recognise can’t talk to girls at all you need to expand your social circle and work on your basic social skills.

Women are probably just as horny as men (if not more so under the right circumstances) but it’s hard to believe it when you’re bad at turning them on and your life experience is mostly of getting rejected (I say this from experience). I imagine that’s why men stumble on these strategies that “work” but are definitely sub-optimal (and unethical of course).

There's a grain of truth to what you're saying but you're simplifying it quite a lot. Just because some PUAs sell game as a sort of superpower that will get you any girl doesn't mean you need to go into the opposite extreme. You've also not addressed the fact that your framework can lead to wrong action.

I think Todd’s advice is to add more qualification/disqualification and push-pull so girls chase you a bit more; maybe checking out his videos on qualification will help. He’d call what you’re doing a “leveling” behaviour, so maybe check out one of the videos on leveling. You’ll probably lose some of the girls along the way but eventually get other ones where you enjoy the interactions more, I think. But I’m far from an expert, I’m still working out this stuff myself. There's a problem with this outlook. This can lead men to "stupidly" play the numbers game, where you're just going through girl after girl waiting for a yes girl to turn up. This makes you less of an attractive person because your heart's not really in these interactions. If you're working on your charisma and flirting skills, you'll eventually widen the pool of women that will be interested in you, regardless of how many women along the way aren't interested. Game and seduction skills exist an…

All good! I think maybe I didn’t express myself very well. I don’t hate Tinder. If you’re already decent at seduction and your profile passes a certain attractiveness threshold, it’s probably the easiest form of pickup since it solves logistical issues and the algorithm plays the number game for you to a certain extent. The problem is that for a beginner, it can be actually harder, because you’re going to get rejected more often than not and might go for months without any compelling leads, so y…

I don’t know what “the man culture” is. I’m just one man; most men I know aren’t like me. I’m in my late 20s and I’d say most of my male friends don’t care about playing the field at all, and even the ones that still want to date around a bit aren’t as dedicated to it as I am. I do my best to be honest while still being tactful. If it comes up I’ll say I’m not looking for anything serious. Often it doesn’t come up at all (plenty of girls are totally open to hookups or fwb arrangements with the r…

Cue tinder, cuts that stuff out. It doesn’t. 1) There’s no guarantee OP will get matches and dates. 2) Plenty of girls on Tinder (probably most) who are open to hookups still want to spend some time getting comfortable with the person.

Here you have a valuable resource at hand- an actual grown-ass woman- Bruh. Women are literally half of the population. Most of us have interacted with women before. Just because you’re a woman doesn’t mean you have more insight into how every other woman behaves than every man.
/r/seduction13/08/22 02:25 PM

If I look back after we pass them come talk to me. This is an idiosyncratic preference, I’ve never heard any other woman express this. How many times have you had men approach you after you “looked back” at them and the interaction then gooinh well? In any case, being in the role of “initiating” is difficult and so adding extra arbitrary rules to it doesn’t make it any better.
/r/seduction13/08/22 02:20 PM

You also have to learn/realize that common hello‘s to people is not necessarily an invitation to flirt with them no matter what He has recognized this and explicitly stated as much in the comment you’re responding to.

I don't think feminists say that men need to write girls they're talking to good morning and that kind of stuff. This is more someone being desperate out of scarcity, I don't see what it has to do with feminism.

What I find absurd is that half of the comments are suggesting cold approaching in cafés as opposed to the street. Isn’t a girl also “trapped” if she’s sitting in a café? Isn’t it also going to be “weird” or “creepy” if she’s just there to study, get some caffeine or catch up with her friend? Even in bars women are “on guard” because they often get awkwardly or sleezily hit on there, and in nightclubs they might “just want to dance” with their friends. I don’t see an obvious solution here: there…

That doesn't mean you do nothing but it means nearly every approach is warm because they already fucking want you. You're equivocating here. The distinction between cold and warm approaches has nothing to do with the target's level of interest. I don't understand. You say all men do this or that terrible thing, but that you at the same time don't resent men. Why don't you resent men if you think they're "all the same"? If it was true that they're all the same certainly it would make sense to resent them. I'm not making assumptions about your life, I feel that what you're saying here reflects resentment. I may be wrong and I'm open to being proven wrong.

Nah it's nonsense. Height is definitely a factor but it's far from the only one (even in terms of raw physical attractiveness, which itself is only one factor in overall attractiveness), and 6ft is seen as tall in the vast majority of countries (where do you live man, Montenegro?).

I wouldn't say it's necessarily about what women explicitly "want", but what they respond to. I doubt there are many women who wake up every morning and fantasise about men taking them on walks before sex, but if a charming guy takes them on a walk and they feel desired and aroused they might go for it. The same goes for, say, "nightlife" hookups. Vanishingly few women go out with the explicit goal of picking up men, but a much larger subset of women (may still be a minority, I don't know) will …

I can't claim to speak for all men. It's probably good to be at least somewhat interested in the people you ask out; I certainly don't ask out women I'm not interested in at all. But there are varying levels of interest and interest doesn't equal compatibility. Surely you can go on a date with someone where you don't know if you're really compatible yet, and that goes for both the person responsible for initiating and the person responsible for accepting the advances. I don't think you've addressed his point, which is the disparity of how difficult it is to get dates in the first place. The fact is that as a man you need to put in a lot more effort to get to the "filtering" stage (getting leads and deciding whether they're worth your time). It's an obstacle that women generally don't face.

There is no such thing as getting better at attracting all women. She either likes you, or she doesn't. This simply isn't true. If you look unapproachable or are generally abrasive you might be selecting for men who don't mind women who look unapproachable or are abrasive, who are often men who have little shame or care/respect for boundaries. Some might also be attracted to what they "can't get". I'm not necessarily saying you should jump to the other extreme and become bubbly and eminently approachable. I do see that girls that are friendly and approachable have to deel with creeps as well. Just some food for thought.
/r/seduction14/06/22 01:41 AM

Learning to build comfort with a total stranger and be daring/assertive while still being respectful of boundaries and able to calibrate to different levels of interest is a big part of becoming a more attractive man in general. That's an opportunity and not an insurmountable obstacle. There's just as much creepiness on dating apps and in social circles. You might as well say that no way of meeting women works "beyond exceptions".

Just look around at all the couples you see. How many of the men are "roided up"? How many guys that get laid regularly are "roided up"? I shouldn't even at least call them out on it saying it was uncalled for What would that give you? You're there to get laid, not fix the world or give people sermons.

I think you've identified one of the factors. I'd quit porn and drugs and try to use social media judiciously.

Probably need to flirt more rather than dry conversation/interrogating. Wouldn't have guaranteed she'd be interested in you but would've increased the chances by a lot. In any case you shouldn't frame this as an issue of talking to a single girl.

That may be part of your problem. On Tinder you're going to have a higher-than-average proportion of guys just looking for a quick lay, especially when you think in terms of the guys that actually get matches. You could try to get really good at filtering them but given your trauma and feelings of inadequacy I think you'll be better served by taking a slower approach and meeting people organically. Also try to get as many of your emotional needs met without a relationship so you're following rea…

Based on your post in r/self I think you have some issues with what we call "inner game" or just feelings of inadequacy which may make you actively chase people who just aren't into you or end up pushing people away because they may see you as needy. It's not about being upfront or not upfront but congruent. Also I would avoid dating apps, the guys you end up actually matching with are more likely to be looking for hookups. Since this is a seduction sub I'll leave you with advice from one of the…

You're quite young so you might still have some calibration issues related to basic social skills or just need to mix up the venues a bit. Have you considered working on your inner game or mixing in some social circle game? In any case since you're a teenager you have all the time in the world to figure this out. Definitely do yourself a favour and delete Tinder though.

Good on you for recognising that! I had the same problem, swiping apps set me back years. edit: thought you were op for some reason lol

I don't agree with this guy at all but there is a chance she doesn't have a boyfriend and just felt put on the spot by a stranger so she thought the safest option was to reject you ("I have a boyfriend" is often the go-to reject-a-stranger response). The fact that her friends smiled after you recalibrated shows you're on the right track though, well done.

It really depends on your goals, interests, personality. Personally I've been doing a combination of social circle (mostly salsa classes and events; used to do some meetups) and cold approach (just minimal nightgame at the moment). I'm not as dedicated to the latter as some of the guys here but I've always been a cautious person so realistically I can only do it bit-by-bit. But I'd say some sort of combination of social circle and cold approach is ideal for beginners, the exact mix of the two an…

True, am I wrong? Of course not. Now let's get off the apps and go meet some women. Happy approaching!

I was bullied throughout middle school, lost all my friends due to mental health and then my high school closed so I was forced into online school That doesn't mean you're not needy, it means you have trauma. Which has made you needy. You have a spiritual challenge ahead of you that you'll need to overcome if you want to have good relationships -- I'd encourage you to get help from a professional if you can. You will not resolve this issue by fixating on any single girl.

Sorry to comment here if this wasn’t the kind of response you were looking for. You probably wanted to hear from other guys. My apologies. Your comment is great and completely in line with the spirit of this sub.

Fucking idiotic girls cockblocking you They could've been genuinely concerned for her safety, they knew nothing about OP at that point. Trying to isolate her immediately was a bad move; building comfort is just as important as being assertive and building sexual tension. The fact that they melted after OP was genuine and open suggests they weren't trying to "cockblock".

I understand that as a woman you've probably had frustrating experiences with unempathetic men so I see where you're coming from. This sub is more about men discussing and working through our frustrations in life, which will often be different to yours. As someone who's been on both sides of this (I've been boring and serious around people I like and have mostly snapped myself out of it), I don't necessarily think moralising helps here. At least in my experience raising your self-esteem is bette…

Why are you in this sub if you believe that? The basic axiom of this sub is that that isn't true. In any case, please finish the sentence so it's actually accurate: the majority of guys are seen as undesirable on swiping apps.

If she's telling you about all these other people she's hooking up with or sexting she's not considering a monogamous relationship with you. Saying she wants to kiss you could mean just that, that she wants to kiss you (i.e. feels somewhat aroused). I would honestly pull back a bit and find ways to meet other people. Don't necessarily have to cut her out of your life but I wouldn't make her your main priority. Please avoid "letting her know how you feel", what good is that going to for you? I’ve…

Before I even got home (5 minutes away) she texted and said “Nice to meet you!” Massive green light. Take that W brother.

You're the one who in here and made a crass generalization that women are better than men ("we realize this isn't fun for others [and men don't]"). You're only really confirming my suggestion that some men don't really care about their conversational partner's enjoyment of them. Mate, OP is literally trying to be give a more enjoyable experience to people he talks to. What are you talking about?

The thing with signals is that it's more about feeling them than seeing them. If you interact with and flirt with a lot of women eventually you'll build intuition for when they're just flirting for the attention or whether there's actually sexual tension.

Maybe it's just my age showing but I can't imagine using someone's instagram to get their snapchat. You might as well get their phone number and then text to ask for their Facebook. I really don't see the utility of it. Social media is for flirting and coordinating dates. You don't need to collect all their profiles across different platforms.

It's not about whether it's a public utility, but whether it's a useful tool for our goals. For people who feel like it's negatively impacting their mental health, it's not. The fact that you had some success on it is irrelevant. Waaaay cheaper than going out drinking and hoping to meet a match IRL You don't need to pay a cent on drinks to go outside and meet women. That's not even the case in bars, let alone everywhere else.
