There is a strange thing about people. When they get away with something, they tend to do more of the behavior until they get caught. You see it with embezzlers. They take a little and get away with it, then they take a little more. On it goes, until one day they take too much and get caught and their life is in ruins.
Why do people do that?
Is it a need to “get caught”?
Or is it simply that the thrill isn’t enough with taking a little so they take more to feel the same thrill, just the way a junkie needs more of the same drug to get the same high?
I don’t now.
Doesn’t matter.
Women are doing the same thing. They are becoming more brazen, more sure of themselves, need more of the high they get from their power, so instead of hiding their nature, they are starting to flaunt it out in the open.
The problem they’re going to have is at some point the truth will be accepted and then everything collapses.
Exhibit A?
Shakira’s new novel “She Wolf” (O.k., I’m bored bear with me).
Let’s start with the lyrics of the title song:
She Wolf
A domesticated girl that’s all you ask of me . . .
I’m starting to feel just a little abused
like a coffee machine in an office
So I’m gonna go somewhere cozy to get me a lover . . .
If you’re not doing it for her she feels completely justified about getting a lover “to enjoy.”
The very next song is Did It Again (Of course we all know what she did again, she picked the “wrong” man)
You were like one of those guys
The kind with the wandering eyes
But I said hey what the hell, once in my life I’ll take a ride
on the wild side.
You were so full of yourself . . .
I did it again now I got it all wrong
But it felt right I can’t believe it.
Notice, even internally the song is inconsistent in her rationalizations for how she ended up sleeping with a married man, not once, but twice. “What the hell, once in my life I’ll take a ride on the wild side” coupled with “I did it again.”
Which is it?
Why it’s both of course. At the time of the seduction, she, like all women are thinking, just this once I’ll give in. Never mind the fact that they have given in before, repeatedly. This time its different. The feeling is the important part.
It is only after she feels used that it’s an “I fell for it again” little cry.
Finally,
Give it up to me
In which the she responds to the male vocalist that sings such dominant things as “My girl is a Queen, and she do what I say” and in response Shakira sings: “You can have it all, anything you want.” and “So put me in a cage and lock me away and I’ll play the games that you want me to play.”
So there in three songs is the truth, women will cheat if you don’t game them, and feel no remorse, it is the man’s fault if she does. She will lose all common sense if the man excites her and sleep with him, and if the man is sufficiently dominant she will give him everything, including being locked in cage.
Consider this, the new book from the author of Julia and Julie that goes into extreme detail about her affair, Sandra Tsing’s Atlantic Monthly article pushing for acceptance of affairs and calling married men kitchen bitches, Pink’s Please Don’t Leave me and you have a very good picture of the female soul.
Women want it all.
They mean this literally.
