Ok, here’s a little article about 13 different wedding disasters (I would argue that most weddings are disasters . . . for the man) but then this article is clear that these are disasters for women:
Many women spend their entire lifetimes dreaming about their weddingday. But could anyone ever imagine that bridal bliss could turn this sour?
Men are just a prop.
The weddings:
- “Several things went wrong” makes it sound like the caterer brought spoiled meat, or the DJ got sick, or the flowers got mixed up. What “went wrong” was the bride: drunk, yelling obscenities, throwing cake and vases at her husband, flipped out and tried to bite a peace officer and kicked out a window in a police car. What went wrong is the fool that decided to marry her.
- Food poisoning. I give them a pass on. Not figuring out the laws of the foreign country they’re getting married in? Come on, you spent three days picking the dress (total hours spent) months agonizing over the invitations, make everyone feel obligated to buy tickets to a foreign country (not cheap) and then screw up so you get married before they arrive? More evidence of the complete narcissism of weddings. Expecting people to shell out tons of money and waste their vacation looking at the woman in her dress. Gag. And then you screw up so they miss the day?
- More narcissism: a $3,000 dress, handmade invitations and a horse-drawn carriage. But during the carriage ride to the church with her father, the horse spooked and she ends up getting a concussion and a trip to the hospital. Detect a pattern here? Narcissism leads to disaster.
- Eh, I’m o.k. with this one. fiance bails and you have a party for retired people . . .
- More female instigated violence: This time because the band took a break, the bride goes crazy and breaks things leading to the police getting called.
- Getting married to a guy you have a restraining order on . . . Brilliant!
- O.k., this one starts with a man saying something at a lesbian wedding that starts a brawl. Feminists believe that men should be seen and not heard.
- A guy backs out of the wedding. Yawn. Don’t care how much you narcissists spend, you spend a fortune on ONE DAY and it doesn’t work, that’s your own fault.
- Again, $500,000 for one frickin day? What causes the end though . . . the moms of the couple.
- She swallowed the ring. Putting a ring in a drink is passe. Putting it in a milkshake, retarded.
- Fiance was cheating . . . where’s the pizazz? I mean that’s bad, but worse would be the have him or her cheating and not knowing it while everyone else did . . . I’ve been to weddings like that . . .
- Trying to go to great heights to make things memorable leads to the ring falling into traffic and a suicide watch.
- Food poisoning again.
Detect a pattern in most of these? Anyone?
