PMAFT and I were having a small discussion in the comments to Sunday’s post. We have a difference of opinion, and I’m going to expound upon something he said in the comments. Keep in mind that this piece is my opinion and not a factual argument.
If you want to see men act like men fix the legal system and I guarantee within a week you will see men acting like men again when they realize they don’t have a sword of damocles hanging over their head.
Now, PMAFT being a reptile alien overlord, is a dispassionate and rational thinker whose thoughts run as cold as his reptile alien blood. PMAFT’s statement above contains what I think is a little hyperbole on his part, but in essence I don’t disagree that changing the legal system would be a step in the right direction. What I do not believe is that men will start acting like men within a week or as I’m sure he’d agree, within a short period of time, ie within a handful of years.
I want to back up here a second and discuss what changes would need to happen in the legal system. This isn’t an exhaustive list, so some things will surely be left out. It should go without saying that the family court system has to be changed. Women are favored over men in regards to custody and wealth transfer. To change such a system would require the courts to drop the last 50 or so years of precedent. Judges love precedent, they also don’t want to rule counter to precedent because with the exception of the Supreme Court, they don’t relish the idea that one of their decisions will be overturned as it surely would be.
It should also be obvious that laws will need to changed and/or repealed in order to restore balance to the court system. To do this requires lobbyists, money, and a method to transmit the message. Public opinion needs to be swayed in support of these changes. In this area men are far, far behind and will be opposed every step of the way. The women’s rights groups and the pinnacle alpha men aren’t going to be too keen to go backwards from the current system that benefits them so well. Bad laws like VAWA, hate crimes laws, and Title IX won’t be repealed overnight, if ever. As it stands now, there isn’t the will to change these laws.
But say men are successful at getting the legal and legislative changes that they so obviously need. What then? We’ve now had two to three generations of boys raised as second class citizens. Boys who were shaped by the negative stereotypes of men portrayed in media and the punishments their women teachers doled out for acting like boys. For the last two generations there has not been a defining event or hardship that has shaped these boys into men. What there has been is a concerted effort to feminize them. To make them believe they should be more like girls, more in touch with their emotions, more influenced by social pressures. I just can’t see that changing the legal system is enough to get men to act like men when they have been nurtured in a environment so antithetical to their nature.
So what is it going to take? My best guess is the change will have to be imposed by some external force or event. The west is a hollow shell of it’s former self. The parasites are killing the host slowly all the while claiming the host is healthy and hale. Has feminism reached its apogee? I have no idea. We do live in interesting times.
