I went to the “Viking Days” festival at the Nordic Heritage Museum here in Seattle a few weeks ago, and my favorite part was the viking craftwork. There were these guys who make a living off blacksmithing, metalworking and other related stuff. I really enjoyed looking over the swords, spears, axes, chainmail and helmets. Brings out the boy in a guy. These are great events for guys, and even some women enjoy them, so it’s good for a date (with the right kind of woman).
While I was there, I found a few spearheads, and thought about buying one, but settled for taking a picture with one instead. Naturally, I thought it would be fun to post on the site.
In the background you can see some armor and polearms, and a couple flags, including the Vinland flag.
