You cant hate someone you truly loved
The first girl I ever loved I also ended up hating. Not so much anymore. I came to accept that she was a narcissistic cheating habitual liar who couldn’t tell the truth if her life depended on it. I learned. I moved on. Two other women I’ve loved I’ve ended hating for their cheating ways. Again, I learned. I moved on.
It would be equally trite to say you can only truly hate what you have truly loved for only the destruction of a thing you’ve invested your time, effort, and soul into knowing and loving can bring out the raw essence of hate.
