Last week The Elusive Wapiti had a great post over at the Spearhead about women being the center of gravity for a civilization. If the powers that be want to influence a society in a particular direction, it is the women that need to be convinced, it is the women whose support must be earned. Do this and change is inevitable. But it got me thinking about the role that women play and have played through out history when it comes to the rise of totalitarian regimes.
It is quite obvious that women turn and have turned to the government for more and more protections from the various threats that life in general and modern living can generate. While this may make them feel safer is comes at the cost of individual freedom. It has created in our modern era a time when every citizen literally could be charged with a serious crime. An era where every year cities, counties, states, and the federal government create thousands of new laws, ordinances, administrative rules, and regulations. A system of overly codified behavior that no one can or should be expected to conform.
On a different front there are the accepted norms of behavior, and to a large extent women are seen as the keepers and final arbiters of what is acceptable. Whether that is because of the fall of the patriarchy and the rise of the current matriarchy or whether it has always been such, I do not know. What does seem obvious is that is men want a seat at the political table then they damn well better not be labeled a sexist, a misogynist, or that increasingly meaningless term, a racist. These emotional labels and the politically correct thought police that enforce them are all that is needed to discredit or marginalize a point of view that runs counter to current liberal and feminists memes.
It seems to me that American women and their white knighting Renfields are the Judas goats leading the rest of society to our slaughter. For those unfamiliar with the term, a Judas goat are trained animals who will lead the rest of the herd animals to the slaughter house or from pen to pen. That would make our ruling elites the ones who are using these Judas goats to influence the rest of us to go along meekly. To take on mountains of debt, support the system, and ‘take it like a man.’ To be lead in whatever direction suits the short term goals of the ruling elite.
So what happens to the Judas goats when the entire herd has been culled? What happens to them when a more ruthless and efficient system supplants the current one? Will they be first in the sacrificial line?
