I have said recently that I believe firmly in the notion that “Clarity is better than Agreement”. That notion seems especially apt when it comes to discussions surrounding and concerning, Game.
So, I thought it would be a very useful exercise to present to the forum, two widely divergent views on the matter, by two Women who have written I think in quite clear terms on heir understanding of Game, and their positions on it; Denise Romano, who needs no introduction here, and “Black & German”, a blogger and stay at home mom.
Now, here’s how I would like to structure this discussion:
1. We will NOT allow ANY off-topic posts. They will be swiftly removed if they appear in this thread. This discussion is to highlight the differences between the two positions on Game. Both authors are more than welcome to clarify their views if they wish.
2. We will tease out the more salient and obscure points in the arguments both Women are making. I invite all those who wish to participate to this also.
3. As you read each Woman’s position on the matter, please ask yourself, what is the ultimate point they are making? Is what they’re advocating, on either side, tenable? What would our society look like if what either side advocated, actually happened? Are each Woman’s argument well presented and thought out? If so/not, why?
Now, I would like everyone to please refrain from posting until I have presented in full, each Woman’s position on the matter of Game, which will come in the next two posts in the comment thread. First, we will present for the “Con” position of Game, by Denise Romano. The following comes from her most recent post on the matter, which will appear in the next post; afterwards, will appear Black & German’s “Pro” Game argument.
