Rocco reminded me of the comment of the week recently, so I thought I ought to make it a more regular feature, as comments are often good enough to be posts of their own. This week, because the comment ratings were down for testing for a few days, I have to do without the benefit of counting votes, but fortunately I found a comment by Keyster that offers a good analysis of the McDonald’s beating incident and meets the criteria:
If a man instigates a violent response from another man, “he had it coming”.
If a woman instigates a violent response from a man, he should have better controlled his emotions and galantly taken the abuse, you know “like a man”.
We have a society that wants to make it illegal for men to exploit their physical advantage to better control women, while allowing women to use any means possible to provoke a reaction. We’re biased against men because of their propensity to “do more damage”, which justifies allowing women to do whatever they want…because they’re weaker and incompetent at fighting (although we won’t admit this).
This young man at McDonalds, just trying to make it, was never conditioned socially (or through our education system) to treat a threat any differently just because it was coming from a woman or women. He had no “feminist prism” or filter to view it through. He was not about to suffer the chivalric mangina’s fool. He was all about equality of the sexes. He is a truly “organic” feminist!
It doesn’t matter who instigated the fight, if an “aggressive, violent and angry man” ends up winning (or controlling hysterical women through physical means), he’ll go down for it. He should have known better; that women aren’t held accountable for violence against men. When men do it to women it’s “a HORRIFIC crime”. When women do it to men, “he probably did something to upset her and therefore deserved it”.
Women have been given carte blanche to ridicule and abuse men without threat of any inkind physical response, and they know it and they use it. The young McDonald’s employee was heroically “breaking the paradigm”, created by our feminist society and chivalric legal system. Either that or he was simply not gonna let himself be “dissed by a coupla nasty lil hoes”.
