Dual mating strategy is an evolutionary-psychology concept describing a proposed female mating pattern of securing a stable, high-investment partner for long-term commitment and resources while separately seeking genetically desirable ("alpha") partners for short-term sex. It's closely tied to hypergamy and parental investment theory, and is used in TRP and MGTOW material to argue that women are biologically inclined toward infidelity or hedging within committed relationships. Critics of the framing note it functions more as a folk explanation than an established finding in evolutionary biology.
