Sexual Strategies Theory (SST) is an evolutionary psychology theory, developed by David Buss and David Schmitt in 1993, describing how men and women evolved distinct short-term and long-term mating strategies to solve different reproductive challenges. It's an extension of Robert Trivers' parental investment theory and underlies much of red pill mating theory.
