Sexual assault in the military: What happens when the victim is a man?

I made a self-post a short while ago related to this.

The army is pretty forward about the issue, for both males and females.

One bit of clarification, the reason for the "spike" in sexual assualts from 2012 to 2013 is not that more service members were assualting one another, it's that more of the assualts were being reported. Starting in early 2013, the army has been pushing it's SHARP program (Sexual Harrassment / Assualt Reponse & Prevention) down everyone's throats. I swear we get briefed and counseled and lectured on it at least once a week, for well over an hour. I could repeat for you ad infinitum the difference between "restricted" and "unrestricted" reports.

They make it clear that sexual harrassment and assualt can happen to anyone, and all avenues of support for victims is open to both males and females. (little story here) The first time my First Sergaent said that during one of his lectures on SHARP, some peope snickered in the back of the formation. Little did those soldiers know was that there was a male in our formation who had been assualted by someone in their previous unit (victims can request to be moved to a new unit for personal saftey / comfort).

Being First Sergaent and all, he of course knew about the case, and thus their outburst made him a bit unhappy. He asked the chuckle-fucks what was so fucking funny about what he just said, and then smoked the shit out of them in front of the whole formation (they tried to start up a case against him for hazing, but when the context of the situation was brought to light, IG threw out the report).

So yeah, no need to worry about feminism fucking shit up here.
