While I despise the blatant sexism, part of me wants to grudgingly give them some points for blunt honesty. If they hadn't added that gender specification, sexist as it is, all guys who bothered applying would have been wasting their time. This way, men know right off the bat they'll never be selected and can instead devote more time applying in other places where, hopefully, one's knowledge, skills and professionalism are more important than one's gender.
