The cop was WRONG to do this, no denial there.

But she getting compensation? WTF? The genders switched, yeah right.

The thing is that cops and people in authority positions have power over people and she may have been coerced into this or something. I mean I'm not going to doubt her. I'm also not going to say if it was rape or not because there was no trial. But it's clear he took advantage of his position. If it was a woman cop I'd want the same to happen.

The cop admits and agrees that what he did was professionally wrong, this I think we can all agree is right. You do not have a sexual relationship with an alleged victim as a police, least of all while on duty.

Then it becomes complicated, rape is almost always a case of word against word. In this case I'm inclined to believe the cop though because of inconsistencies in her story.

On being drunk and having sex, I can't believe how people keep framing it. It doesn't matter if you remember anything or not, whatever you actively do while voluntary drunk is your responsibility. If you are blacked out or can't form coherent words or even actually walk then sure, I agree that would be rape. But this is about someone who initiates and actively preforms a sexual act, that is consent in my book.

This police should only have to answer to his department and the public which he failed to serve when not preforming his duties. Not to this woman.
