I only skimmed it because I'm a little bit busy, but is the general point of this article that women flip-flopped on wanting to shave their pubic hair and went from, "You're a fucking pedophile!" to "Yes, anything for you master!"

Because, if it is, us men do a whole lot of that same shit to impress and please women.

I can't say I got anything interesting from that article. There could be a point somewhere, but when you build your argument on "They said" and "Now they say", you're getting nowhere. Totally different people could be saying this. That's a totally baseless argument that is common in politics and especially the internet. "Reddit wanted this, now they have it, and they complain? They don't know what they want!". Replace Reddit with basically any collective and you got it. It ignores the fact that some people will only say something (positive or negative) when it's interesting for them, the rest of the time they may remain silent.

I'll try to salvage the discussion somehow. It's not exactly known why men do, in general, prefer shaved pubes. It seems that it's related to innocence, an attractive trait in a woman from long time ago. I do believe that porn made it popular, but not because porn decided to make it popular, but because men saw it, they liked it, and the demand increased.

I don't think there's anything wrong to do things to impress the other gender, be a collective or an individual. Now women shave their pubes, while men also do lots of different things.

The author seems to really like Heartise and company, so, I doubt there's much more to check on his blog.

I am not sure men really care. I think women do it because of their interpretation of what they think men like and what seems to be acceptable in society. I do not think it was men putting pressure on women at all.

Personally I am not too keen since it reminds me of my prepubescent kids: Yuk
