I have to drive 12 hours once a month to pick up my daughter. This involves the 3 hour drive down on friday + 3 hr drive back Fri night, plus 6 hours to return her on Sunday. It is a 1.5 hour drive each way for her.
She claims that her car broke down and she can't meet me. This is our scheduled weekend per the court ordered child visitation schedule. I cannot reschedule to next weekend because it is the start of busy season and I am an accountant. I already was supposed to have her last weekend but she rescheduled because she "had to work til 6:30 pm instead of 5:00 pm" So this is the second weekend in a row she rescheduled. I need to see my daughter!
Should I drive to our meeting spot and then call a police offer to write a report to serve as evidence, and then file a contempt of court filing? Even with no chance of seeing my daughter? I feel like she needs to learn a lesson from this.
Should I skip my visit and agree to just meet her next month? (we already have a very volitile relationship)
She has options to make this happen and she lives in her hometown near her friends and family. She is resourceful enough to figure out a way to make this happen.
