I have a lawyer!

So now that that's out of the way let me tell you what's been going on . On dec 7 I texted S asking what C our 7 year old daughter wanted for Xmas she replied with American girl dolls and pony stuff. Shorty after she replied with that's she need my help and that she is not ok and is sick and depressed. S lives in Texas and I live in kansas. So I took off work for the weekend and went down only to find out that my daughter is has missed 32/70 days of school with 28 unexcused tartys. I was shocked and really taken back by this, her mom is a nurse and highly values education and was a 4.0 student and is denying our daughter her most basic education. She was help back in her kindergarten year for which S said it was just her IEP and the teachers recomeneded it. Which is true but because she missed so much of the school year. A So now she is being help back again in first great she can't read or write and has no children's books in the house and S doesn't do homework or work with her to strengthen he education. I'm am going to seek custody very shortly S has a truancy court date on 27th and she will most likely fail to appear and the truancy officer I have been in contact with is great and working well with me and will contact me after the court appearance , ugh this is a terrible situation I feel like and just need advice and guidenss. Also my entire family is behind me on this and is helping with the costs I'm very lucky to have that!
