I post this here not as call to vote brigade the "discussion" (more of a braying lynch mob, really) going on there, nor even to join the conversation in any substantive way, but merely to observe. I want you to observe how vigilante groups like Anonymous report information highly selectively. To observe how easy it is to whip up a ravenous blood-lust against any male by raising the accusation of rape. To observe how little, in fact how nearly nonexistent, any genuine skepticism regarding the charges is among the mob, which already made up its mind after reading the headline let alone watched the video or read any related articles. To observe how many calls to outright murder the accused in the street have been posted and upvoted to the gleeful assent of the mob. To observe how instantaneously the mob found the causes and reasons for the alleged crime ("football culture", "rape culture", "small town bigots", etc.). To observe the futility in attempting to point out that as uninvolved third-party individuals we likely don't have all of the facts on what actually occurred at hand and that it would be wiser to wait until the case is heard by a court to make any decision on guilt (the case goes to trial in a month).

The accused are said to have posted self-incriminating information about the crime to social media as it occurred, but the available facts as to what exactly occurred, as they almost always are in these cases, are less than perfectly clear and the extent of the crime committed is ambiguous. The most authoritative source of information on the story at this writing appears to be an NYT article, which I would at least urge you to read before forming any substantial judgement on the matter.

Is it any wonder that in such an explosively volatile and reflexive environment of immediate trial and conviction in the public's mind how cases like Dominic Scullions' occur?
