The question is: are TRP principles really universal?

You did not understand TRP. TRP is no codex or behavior template. It is more like a service manual for a successful life. It tells you how intersexual dynamics work and what to expect as a result from certain behaviors.

It does not tell you what to do. It does not tell you to have extra martial affairs. It gives you the tools needed to lead a successful LTR, as well as it gives you the excuses to avoid any nonsexual contact to women. It is what you make of it.

A women will climb to a branch with more fruit than the branch they are on. They just make sure the branch theyre grabbing won't fall before they let go of their current branch.

Yes. However, in conservative countries women are less likely to exhibit plain hypergamous behavior (like being in the harem of an alpha guy instead of having a relationship with an average guy) out of fear of being slut-shamed.

Taking the red pill mean viewing reality for what it is. Are men and women different? Yes,in every part of the world. Do women prefer men with higher status than men with lower status? Yes,in every part of the world. And so on,things can be different in different cultures (you can take western world 100 years ago,same people but different social enviroment) but some principal are biological. You have to adapt in your enviroment,knowing how things work.

To build on your example, the norms and values of a conservative country can successfully restrict woman's hypergamy, but that does not change the way they are from the inside --- AWALT still applies. They are still attracted to the man because of their stronger frame, they still desire a leading man in their life. So in that sense, the 'principles' of TRP still apply.

Even if the norms and values will prevent her from leaving you if you're BP, even if they will ensure she won't leave you, still these norms and values cannot possibly prevent a marriage from becoming unhappy.
