Yeah, tell Jerry Sandusky that men only get a year or so. Not that he should have gotten any less, the guy deserves to never breathe free air again, just saying the commenter in question has no idea what she's talking about.

Also worth noting, I don't think I've ever seen so many "innocent until proven guilty" comments on an news article in my life. Don't get me wrong, that's the way it should be, I just think its worth noting how many people are willing to believe in a woman's innocence, but assume that accusation = guilt for men.

Quit freaking out, guys. She would never do that, and how the hell can you believe a three-year old when it comes to this stuff? She was wrongly accused of a heinous crime, and you should be ashamed of yourselves for thinking she might be guilty!

Now switch "she" to "he", "three-year old" to "woman" and "this stuff" with "rape". People would have a shitfit if someone defended a male rapist, yet they're defending a female one. This is the true rape culture, and people are perpetuating it all through those comments.

Edit: More evidence of my point earlier. Women are only capable of reacting, which is shown in the articles update.

Why is this even in the article? Sure, we get to know a bit about her past, but aside from that, it should not affect what she did now. The reason it is here is to sway the reader and make them feel sorry for this woman. "Oh, now it makes sense! She must be traumatized from her abuse as a child. The trauma is affecting her to this day. She is not responsible for her actions because of events that happened to her in her childhood."

Yes, I do feel sorry for her. No one should have to be sexually abused. However, a history of sexual abuse should not give a person the right to sexually abuse other children. She still needs to get the jail time that she deserves.

Sigh, its good i try to sit back and think about posting or i'd blast her. Female abusers and female pedophiles are becoming more and more common in society but yet it hasn't clicked with modern women that a female can abuse people.

Well , she's only being treated harshly now . Wait until the verdict is delivered and you find out she got six months of house arrest , no need to register on any sex offender list , and a bouquet of flowers from the sympathetic judge who was sorry he had no choice but to convict her because the law mandated it .

I mean , feminists argue that sexual offenders never get any punishment . That's entirely untrue because once convicted , they tend to get fairly harsh penalties . Well , that's if they're male . Anybody who reads the news knows that female offenders get an apology from the police and the courts .
